Second time we stayed here and will stay again if the opportunity arises. Last time we rode the rail trail. This time we toured the nearby Antietam battlefield. Excellent tour. We love the charm and comfort of this house.

It was a unique cottage. We enjoyed walking along the canal. The steps were a little steep(we're all in our 70's) but it was a lovely cottage. Very comfortable.

This was the best stocked kitchen I have ever found in a rental property. Location was just what we were looking for, and host was very responsive and helpful.

Everything in the kitchen and bathroom had all wee needed to help us settle in. And the rooms were full of character and well presented. The location next to the path along the river was lovely. Excellent communication with our host.

Beautifully decorated old rock home. Everything you need with a charming porch. Surprised to find air conditioning which was needed in 100 degree heat. We could hear the Potomac River but too much vegetation and trees to see it. Close to a boat ramp and picnic area down the road. Lots of stairs but still highly recommend.

We absolutely LOVED the cabin! It was so cozy and charming. The owners were very responsive and helpful. The cabin was stocked with all things needed. This has been our favorite vrbo thus far!!!

Beautiful location

We loved this incredible location just off of dam number 4. There is beautiful hiking along the river within a stone’s throw of the porch and the house itself is like a grandmother’s hug.

A relaxing getaway

We loved staying here. The cottage is charming and comfortable. While most of the the structure, and furnishings, are vintage, the kitchen is updated and thoughtfully stocked.

The place was perfect. A cozy “cottage” with so much character. It was exactly what we needed. Our grown kids came each day and we were very pleased at the amount of utensils, pans, dishes etc for cooking. We spent most of our time just being together. The hosts were very responsive to any questions. And take great care of the place!

This house and visit overall was spectacular. Rorke was incredibly responsive, the house was very clean, there were many helpful little notes about the quirks of the house, and the location right on the river could not be more peaceful and ideal.

The cottage was very comfortable and cozy and had many amenities and special touches to make it very welcoming. It was quiet and peaceful and located within short drives to the Antietam Battlefield and Shepherdstown where we rented bikes for a nice day of biking on the C&O Canal, the focus of our long weekend. We enjoyed the sounds of the Potomac River at the dam and the birds while relaxing on the porch.

Rustic Seclusion

Nice stay. Was looking for a get-away yet not too far away. Rustic setting next to the C&O Canal and Potomac Dam #4. Great hiking, quiet setting, and good visits to Harpers Ferry and Shepherds Town, WV. Enjoyed our time at the cottage.
