This condo is located in a beachfront building in the center of Gulf Shores, where it enjoys views of the white sand beach and the Gulf of Mexico from the balcony. When you're not swimming, sunbathing, or practicing all sorts of water sports on the beach, you'll be blocks from some of the most beloved spots in Gulf Shores, including Bahama Bob's, The Hangout, De Soto's, and Scoops Ice Cream. You'll be only two miles west of beautiful Gulf State Park, and a quick drive from several family-friendly attractions up Route 59, including Waterville USA (one mile northeast) and the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo (five miles northeast).

Great location! Walking distance to all the places you want to be. Could use some updating and bare minimum supplies in the kitchen. We would definitely stay again based on location and pricing!

Best Beach Trip

Balcony with a view, spacious condo and the beach was right outside the building! Shopping, entertainment, drinks and food within walking distance! This was the best beach trip for 3 couples, from 57 to 72yrs.

Good value!

The hotel/condo is great for the price. It could be better equipped with kitchen items, and the carpet could use an update, but for the price- It was a great stay with very nice space. We’re a family of 6 very active people and the space was great to have between adults and the 4 boys. The large table was wonderful for at home meals, and the patio was perfect for evenings. We would come again and just bring more from home or buy more items when we got here. Check in/ out and communication was great. And the location is close to everything. Walking distance to “The Hangout”.

it was great only thing there was no mirror in one of the bathrooms had to keep going back and forth to the other bathroom to dress and the garbage disposal was brokensecurity guard harassed us about stuff in the outside doorway we were on the end not in anyone's way and there were so many others who had stuff in the outside doorway understand there are rules but every should have been told not just us!!

This condo needs some serious TLC. Cleaning crew must have been in a hurry this time. We found a sheet that appeared to have blood on it rolled up in the couch bed. There were no bars to use the shelves in the refrigerator door. Kitchen was BARELY stocked. There appears to be a mold stain on the ceiling in the living room. There were no extra blankets. However the lady managing it did check in and correct what could be corrected quickly. Props to her, but I would not stay here again.

This was my first vacasa rental. Overall it was fair. This unit needs updating. The living room furniture is very worn. The unit has a musty smell. The master bathroom did not have a mirror. Bedroom three was hot because the ac did not reach that room. A cookie sheet, pot holders and kitchen scissors would be helpful if you cook when you travel.

Not terrible.

Overall we were pretty happy with the spot. My biggest gripes would be communication with Vacasa. I sent at least 2 messages and never got a response. Location is great and close to lots of awesome restaurants and fun places like The Hangout. Maybe a 6-7 minute walk.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!

These pictures look NOTHING like the property itself. It was rundown, no blankets provided (no comforter either), kitchen severly lacked basics ( I had to purchase my own skillet and roasting pan), horrible lighting, rusted vents, upainted patches in almost every room, hole in wall, obvious water leak down the walls of one bedroom, TV did not work in one bedroom, chunk of ceiling in shower fell on someone in my party, ceilings peeling off, stained couches, the information for WiFi was wrong and took days to recitfy. The owenr should be ashamed to charge $300 per night for this rental.

Good for last minute trip

The condo is average and is in need of interior maintenance (Sheetrock, tile, pictures off the wall, kitchen not well stocked). Couldn’t find an extra blanket in the unit and it was cool outside 50-60 degrees. Building is under roof renovation and VERY noisy from early in the morning and most of the day. The building management staff was snarky because I rented through Vacasa and not them; however, they were $200 more for same stay. The rental doesn’t include parking, an extra $58 for 2 cars. Beach and heated pool very close and not a long walk! Super nice and convenient! No bathroom downstairs, you must go wet and sandy back to your room. Location is perfect for walking to all amenities. Price is fair and would stay again.

We arived later in the evening. Stopped by the office the next morning. Talked to a person regarding the temperature in the room. It had gone down to 65 degrees the first night. The beds only have a sheet and thin covering so it was rather uncomfortable sleeping. She said we weren't able to adjust the heat. I asked if they could provide some extra blankets. She said she would, took down the room number. That never happened but the next night the temperature did go up to 70 so it was better for sleeping. I paid for a parking pass which we never used because when we arrived at the airport, they didn't have a vehicle available. I asked in the office if I could get refund. She said she couldn't do it but would check on it. Never heard anything.

Disappointing

There was extensive water damage in 2 of the bedrooms prior to our stay. The damage had not been repaired. There was no router in the unit therefore the wifi did not work. I had to spend part of my vacation calling about the internet and meeting a tech person so it could be fixed. The kitchen is poorly stocked and is missing very basic cooking tools like a baking sheet.

Location is good. Property need upgrade. Holes in wall, plaster in ceiling coming down ect. It needs a plaster , paint ect. Sure don’t look like the pictures!! Everything is functional & the refund is appreciated.

RENTERS BEWARE

From the pictures on the website this would appear to be a very nice property. What you will step I to is not like the pictures. The house is very poorly maintained and the cleaning staff was not the best. There is black mold in the closet in the bedroom with the en suite. That is an extreme hazard and this unit should not be allowed to be rented out until that is taken care of. There are plenty of wonderful accommodations in the area stay away from this unit !!!!!

Nice space!

Access to the beach was easy and a Walmart was close for little things we forgot. We could see beach and bay from the balcony. Plenty of seating, towels and pillows, and the kitchen was fairly well stocked. But lighting in the living room and bedrooms was terrible and whole unit needed painting to cover up previous water damage and wall repairs.

Terrible experience.

Was assured by Vrbo parking for 2 vehicles was included with this rental, only one vehicle was allowed when we arrived. Had to park 2nd vehicle 3 blocks away. Had no internet or Wi-Fi entire time we were there. Water leak in the ceiling burned up the router. Internet company wouldn’t fix it until the water leak was repaired. Internet tech lied to me, told me he would get us password for adjacent units Wi-Fi but never heard from him again. Water damage repair man had 5 fans and a dehumidifier going in the unit. You ever tried watching tv with that much racket going? Impossible! Couldn’t use the pool last morning we were there. Sign says it opens at 7:00 am but it was locked. Complained about it, they sent someone to unlock it and he said we couldn’t use it until he cleaned it. We pointed to the sign, he just shrugged his shoulders and said wasn’t nothing he could do about it. This is the typical attitude of everyone associated with this place. They just don’t give a damn! I will not use Vrbo or Vacasa again and I will never stay at Island Winds East/West again. Just an overall terrible place to stay and terrible people to deal with.

Location is about all there is to like about this condo. Everything else needs some work. Walls are scraped ,carpets ripped,tiles chipped, Patio furniture unraveling and very outdated.
