House was perfect for access to the Adirondack Rail Trail. This cozy house was extremely clean inside. A few more lights and another sitting area in the dining area would enhance the place.

All in all house is spacious and comfortable and in a great location to town. We slept well, especially with air conditioning during a heat wave!

House is so close to town and rail trail. It’s spacious and has a well stocked kitchen. Beautiful and ample sized bathroom. Very comfortable bed as well.

The house worked out great for us. We were in Saranac lake to ride the ADK rail trail. it was perfectly located just 1/4 mile from the house, so our rides were able to start right from the house. The house worked out well - the heated floors in the kitchen and bathroom were a nice surprise. We were able to have our breakfast every day and enjoyed eating out from the list of suggested local restaurants. Bellvedere's Italian restaurant was amazing - great service and food!We didn't have any need for interaction with the host but received very detail instructions on how to enter the property and a binder with house rules and check out procedure...very helpful.

The home was very cozy and rustic at the same time. Very much enjoyed our stay. The owner does have a no-shoe policy in the house which was not any issue for us at all. The stairs to the bedrooms are wooden and fairly steep so I would recommend a grippy sock or slipper to help you grip better on the stairs so you do not slip.Inside was quiet and warm without adjusting any heat controls even through the temperature outside was down to 32ºF overnight.Everything in the house appeared clean and maintained. The concrete sidewalk does need some attention, which the host had warned us about before arriving, and has plans to update the sidewalk. The location was easy to get to, yet just outside of town and away from the traffic noise. The host had a book on the table with all to Do's/Don'ts, checkout procedures, and helpful tips which was perfect. Communication with the host was enough, but not too much. Some homes I have stayed at, the host can be over-engaging. Our host provided the right amount of communication, and was responsive when needed.If I had the option to rent this location again I would 100% stay hear again.

Quaint Quiet and Perfection

I had a couple of days to myself and was able to stay in this darling home. It is decorated so tastefully/modern. The shower was amazing, the location was perfect and I can’t wait to come back!

In town for the Lake Placid Ironman competition. Anyplace south of Lake Placid would have been a challenge getting around due to the road closures. Locations north of town (Saranac Lake) were smooth sailing. Great place to stay for such a memorable event.

Fall in the Adirondacks

Glorious weather for discovering the beauty of Adirondacks. Hiked Mt. Van Hoevenberg and rewarded with beautiful views of valley. House was adequate for two adults. Thank you for Folgers coffee and coffee it!!

Close to everything

This is the second time staying in this house. It’s very clean and stylish. The neighborhood is friendly And close to some great restaurants downtown, We paddle the beautiful wilderness lakes and ponds close by every year and plan on renting this house again this winter.

Saranac Lake get-A-way

We spent a few nights at The Foundry and it was perfect for my wife and me. It was a quiet neighborhood but convenient to everything in the area. The property was clean, neat and the bath/kitchen/laundry were up to date. The stairs were narrow and steep, but it was as described in the listing and not a problem for us. The bed was comfortable, which was great after full days kayaking the various waterways. We would stay here again and hope to soon.

Beautiful house

This is probably one of the nicest houses I have ever rented. Very clean comfortable and welcoming. If you read the description you know about the steep stairs so no surprise there. The only bad part of the experience was leaving and having to return to my own bathroom which isn’t nearly as nice!

Saranac ESG weekend

Good value. Comfortable despite temperatures down to -29F. Hard getting in as code to key box had been changed. Bedroom to right at top of stairs has small rug nailed to the floor. Nail head in corner sticks up and is painful when stepped on.
