There isn’t anything I can think of to improve what this property offers. The owners have thought of everything. Very clean, well stocked, and have gone the extra mile with making your stay a wonderful experience and memory.

We loved everything about this place! Absolutely beautiful and very peaceful. We had a small issue with the AC, but host was VERY quick to get it fixed for us. Goes to say that she cares! Will definitely be staying there again in the near future. Thanks again!

We had a wonderful family get together weekend. This home was spotlessly clean and provided all the amenities you could possibly need for a great vacay. We enjoyed the hot tub and played games on the patio. My grandkids loved the game room downstairs. The hosts have thought of everything! We will definitely go again! 10 out of 10! Thank you for sharing your home!

We absolutely loved The Shady Pine at Barren River Lake, with one caveat: we arrived after dark, and I don't recommend that. My GPS provided street names and our directions were based on the route numbers and cell service was very spotty. Melissa was great - we called and told her where we were and she was able to verify that our GPS was correct - thankfully! Shady Pines is fully stocked with everything you could want. The weather was very hot so we rented a boat and spent a day on the lake (great swimming!) and went to Mammoth Cave twice which is amazing - and cool. Overall, we were very pleased with our accommodations and had a great time!

The host truly thought of everything! From towels for the hot tub and blankets for the fire pit to extra toothbrushes and toothpaste in case you forgot to bring them, we will definitely come back again. Thank you for a wonderful girls’ weekend!

The grandkids absolutely loved the game room. We felt very comfortable allowing them to entertain themselves in the mornings in that room. They lived in the hot tub half the afternoons of our stay. We had karaoke night that was hilarious! We now know of some hidden talent and why some should keep their day jobs! I do recommend privacy blinds in the bathrooms and bedrooms that face the house nearby. We created our own privacy curtains.

What a lovely stay! Our host was so accommodating and everything was as pictured on the listing. In fact, it was even better than I thought because there was a table that sat 8-10 people inside the house that I didn't realize we would have! And the hot tub was brand new as well. My kids loved the basement with all of its funtivities, and we loved snuggling up on the couch with a fire crackling away. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was amazing and had everything we needed and then some. Location is beautiful, although the lake didn’t have water in the cove just a short walk down from the dock and there it was. We generally are not board game people but played every night. One small issue with the hot tub but the host was very proactive and corrected our problem. We look forward to visiting again this summer.

The hosts were very accommodating! Responded quickly, which made planning things way easier. You can 100% tell they pay attention to detail, and offer many amenities! This cabin was absolutely perfect for an all girls weekend cabin trip! We felt very safe.

Perfect anniversary getaway

We had such a relaxing time in this beautiful cabin for our anniversary, everything was thoughtful and cozy, one of the best vrbo’s we have ever stayed. We can’t wait to come back (or build a cabin just like this one!)

The best vacation rental we have ever used! So much thought put into the little details that made it feel so homey. The cabin is beautiful and you can’t beat the location. We rented a boat at a nearby marina, but decided we would have been just as happy hanging around the cabin.
