Our stay was wonderful. Lovely home with everything you could need. The dock worked out perfect for our boat and it was such a nice additional covered space to hang out.

Our family enjoyed our fall lake getaway! Property was beautifully decorated with excellent attention to detail. We enjoyed the bottle of wine while cooking dinner and overlooking sunset on the lake. One of the best houses we have ever rented. The lake was clean and not very crowded. The marina nearby gave great service when we rented a boat and a jet ski.

Beautiful and relaxing lake home

We had a fantastic time at Kurt and Nancy's gorgeous lake home. This is one of the nicer VRBO rentals we have stayed in. Super clean, comfy beds, kitchen was very well equipped, amazing screened in patio overlooking the lake, and a fantastic dock to hang out. Very close to Smith Mountain Lake for nice hiking! We highly recommend staying here.

Very beautiful property, decorated perfectly to enhance lake life. The owners have thought of every detail to ensure your stay is flawless. This appears to be a newer property that’s well cared for. We rented a boat from a local marina to fish on the lake. Every aspect of our rental experience was awesome!

Without a doubt the best rental experience we’ve ever had. This home provides everything you could possibly need or want for a relaxing vacation. We were with our adult children and granddaughter. Everyone had plenty of space to get away when necessary. The kitchen is so well equipped with nice quality cookware and appliances. Special touches throughout make this feel like a home and not just a vacation rental. The cozy blankets in both family rooms were a great touch. The baths have nice shower heads and water pressure. Two sets of W/D were great, especially with a baby! Can’t say enough about the outside living spaces. The dock area with bar was such a fun gathering spot…. Having a fridge at the dock was so convenient. The screened porch off of the kitchen was by far the favorite for morning coffee and enjoying the wonderful views. Thank you Nancy and Ken for sharing your beautiful home.

SML Lake Retreat

The property is just perfect in every way for a family vacation on SML. Clean, beautifully decorated, with top notch amenities and appliances. The boat house dock is amazing for the entire family to spend all day and the evening right on the lake. We rented a boat and had a place to dock it. Top shelf all around.

Fabulous weekend on the lake

The house is beautiful and perfect for a couple of families. The cove is quiet and the lake views are fantastic. Everything is provided for a great stay. It was pretty cold our first couple of days but we enjoyed hanging at the house, the fire pit and the views! I definitely recommend this house!

Great Fall weekend!

This was the perfect mountain lake house for our group of friends to getaway, enjoy the fall weather, relax and play games! The house had a fabulous setup in the kitchen and downstairs for the group to hangout and cook or watch TV. We def will be back!

Great Family Vacation

This was a great vacation for us, our adult children and their significant others. The kitchen is fully equipped and ready for you. Having the sheet and towels provided was really helpful. The screened in porch was a great place to start our day with coffee and a good book. We will definitely be back :-)

Excellent Stay in SML

Our family has enjoyed Smith Mountain Lake for a number of years. This property was exceptional - clean, well furnished, and stocked with everything you need for vacation. The house was great - we really enjoyed the screened-in porch, fire pit, and the boat dock. The kids particularly enjoyed the separate bunk house to hang out as well. Kurt was super receptive to any questions and we'd recommend to any family looking to explore/enjoy SML.
