Activities :
Thalasso or golf? Swimming or cycling? Restaurant or barbecue? Discovery or relaxation? The possibilities are endless. At the mouth of "the prettiest river in France", the bay and its wide beach await you. Whether you prefer an active holiday or the relaxed lifestyle of a seaside resort on the Breton Riviera, which has been awarded the coveted "tourist resort" classification, there's something for everyone.
Just 17 km from Quimper, Town of Art and History, the capital of King Gradlon, with its narrow streets and half-timbered houses protected by 1500 m of walls. The neighbouring towns, all within a 25km radius, have a rich economic and cultural history: Locronan, which has remained unchanged since the flourishing days of Brittany's textile industry; Concarneau and its 15th-century walled town, reinforced by Vauban; Pont-Aven, the city of painters where Gauguin stayed; and Le Guilvinec, France's leading small-scale fishing port.
Offshore, the Glénans archipelago, famous for its turquoise lagoon.
At the very end of the land ("Pen ar bed" in Breton), the Pointe du Raz, battered by westerly winds and the great swells of the open sea.
