Great resort living in Palm Desert

This home is ready for any long term (more than 30 days) guests. It is located in the prestigious Chaparral Country Club with an Executive golf course, tennis courts, pickleball courts, gym, clubhouse spa, and restaurant. If you are working remotely, stay a few months in an idyllic location. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and has everything you need.
The condo is located near the end of a street with a cul de sac and very quiet. There is a fully equipped gym. Walking distance to Club house and tennis courts. If you choose to eat at the club house, prices are reasonable and the food is very good. (Our chef is famous throughout the Valley). There is a relaxing viewfrom patio is the golf course and pond with fountain that is very relaxing, and faces North East. You might even see Pelicans, ducks, geese and an occasional seagull that is pretty lost. There is partial view of mountains.

Great Rental!

Everything I wanted in a rental, and more. We were lucky to get a 1mo rental, since nearly all the places in Chaparral rents for extended stays.

- [ ] Had to replace five ceiling brunt out lightbulbs- [ ] Did not attempt to replace a burnout lightbulb in a shower, owner told us to call handyman- [ ] Lights underneath the microwave/cabinets do not work- [ ] Bugs in lights in the ceiling kitchen- [ ] Office chair badly stained- [ ] Office chair difficult to move due to cracker plastic carpet protector - [ ] A lot of tchotchkes throughout - [ ] Felt place needed a deep cleaning - [ ] Issues with main tv ; had to deal with spectrum ourselves, no instructions/info re available channels- [ ] Disorganized overloaded kitchen drawers/cabinets- [ ] Expired food items in refrigerator/cabinets- [ ] Unnecessary amount of furniture inside & out- [ ] Found personal clothing /items in drawers - [ ] Ice maker not working ,fixed holder- [ ] Dirty windows - [ ] Mirrors appears like a dog drooled, others need to be cleaned - [ ] Rotting fruit on ground- [ ] Had little tiny ants /purchased traps- [ ] Photos on VRBO are from 2020 realtors images. I have rented my place for 5 years to at least 10 different families. Never has anyone been so self -entitled or rude.(I have all 5 stars), from the minute they arrived. The male (ALAN) was helpless. I don't watch TV, I told him if he needed to know anything, to call Spectrum, he was perturbed. The next day he called me the light over the sink broke. How did that happen? My handyman told me he broke the fixture trying to change a lightbulb. It cost me $235. When I asked him if he got insurance, he said "they don't offer it in California".Not true, he obviously didn't care. I gave him 4 stars to be nice, I would give them 0 stars. I was on edge the entire time. He asked when the housekeeper would be coming like I should pay. Self-entitled to the max. He was obsessed over light bulbs. They do burn out. Apparently, they saw a few bugs fly out from behind the refigerator. Alan wrote to me that day that I needed to get a professional exterminator. I have seen maybe 4 bugs in my house in 5 years. He is obviously used to being waited on. Before Alan came, he called me, asked why my rates were higher than others. I told him I go by VRBO recommendations.. He hemmed, hawed.I asked him please cancel sooner than later if he wanted out. He begrudgingly said, "no I guess I'll keep it".I should have known then. For years they had a place at The LAKES Chaparral is not as fancy as the LAKES. They were snobby about that from the minute they arrived BEWARE if you rent to these 2 people.

Lovely Condo

Had a wonderful stay. Highlights include morning sunshine on the patio and gas fire pit to sit around for evening cocktails. Great location in Palm Desert and in the Chaparral complex - close to pool and fun to watch the golfers. Wendy was terrific to deal with and we hope to come again. Would highly recommend this property.

We live in Los Angeles just a few hours away from Palm Desert. This condo is mainly rented out during the tourist season. We use it in off season, it is so relaxing.

For us this is the perfect vacation home for a family and dog. There is even extra sleeping if someone wants to sleep on the large sofa in the living room.

この宿泊施設の特徴

You have access to all amenities including tennis, pickleball, golf, and shuffle board. There is also a spa where you can make appointments for massages, etc., There is a lovely club house with a gym, that is probably closed due to Covid. The clubhouse has its own restaurant which has outdoor dining, which has been permissible. (Check the most recent regulations issued by the governor.) You are 20 minutes from Palm Springs where there are 2 5 star hotels, shopping and dining. On Thursday nights the main street is closed down for a street fair.
