The big draw to this property is how overly pet-friendly it is! Some say it even caters more to dogs than to people. Onsite services include FURology Paw Spa & Retreat offering dog-sitting and grooming services. We also have a great pool area and sundeck for guests to enjoy.

There is a 40 lb weight limit for dogs. Restricted breeds include Pit Bulls, Staffordshire Terriers, German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Presa Canarios, Chow, Mastiffs, Doberman Pinschers, Akita, Wolf hybrids, Cane Corso, Great Danes, Alaskan Malamutes, Boxers, Huskies, American Bulldogs, Mini Bullies, and Belgian Malinois. This includes mixes of these breeds as well.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us.

The room itself was less than good, but absolutely loved everything outside. Loved being steps from the ocean, loved the inside and outside pools and inside and outside hot tubs. I liked that there was a separate spot to take the doggies to potty during the hours the weren’t aloud on the beach. Loved the doggie spa. Wish there would have been a change machine for the laundry, it would have made things much more convenient. Overall with the price and outside amenities I’d definitely stay here again and recommend Vacasa to my friends.

We enjoyed the beach and food cause we had to leave Nc cause of the Helena. But I will never stay in south myrtle beach sc again.

The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. Beds were good. No frying pan. I bought one. Pools and hot tubs were so nice. Trex boards on deck to beach. I really liked it.

Nice clean affordable place

The property itself if pretty old and the furniture could use updating, as could the kitchen could use restocking. The kitchen had limited items, but got the basics done. The WiFi was horrible, which was surprising with the building only being a third full. Might stay here again as the price and location are hard to beat! Great views of the ocean and the pools and hot tube were well maintained. Getting to bring our pet song was the highlight and the reason for booking.

Shotgun condo with an amazing view! Clean. Has all of your basics, like a hotel, without a cleaning service. Bedroom is on hallway/entrance side with window. Trash chute is located right outside door. Staff was pleasant.

Nice place to stay

The building is well located, good amenities, especially pets friendly. First time stayed which was very pleasant, place was recommended by my sister (she always stay here) the condo has what you need to sleep but furniture is old, futon mattress needs to be replace (so glad I brought my air bed) love that has a stove with oven but no many kitchen utensils to cook. Place was very clean which surprised me with the amount of dogs in the building it doesn't smell or looks dirty. I'm a new dog mom and it's difficult for me sometimes to find a place to stay comfortable with my furry but here I definitely will stay again.

Cool weather and rainy

the view was beautiful in front of the beach. Good location very close to Walmart. 11 minutes to Costco. Everything is really close to the hotel. Very friendly and hepful staff. The cleanliness of the room was great until I opened the sofa bed and the mattress was very stained, really hard to lay on, you could feel the metal on your body. They told me that the supervisor would take a look at it the next day but problem was never addressed.

5 year staying here

Facility is dog friendly which I love! They usually give a dog welcome pack when you arrive but that wasn’t done this time and my room wasn’t ready at 4pm for check in. The stay was enjoyable however, there was a decline in the upkeep of the hotel itself. The walkways to the beach used to be washed downed and cleaned every morning. That was never done all week. The hot tub and pool area weren’t vacuumed or cleaned daily. Outdoor trash cans were far less around the pool deck and beach walks compared to the past. Enjoyed the new decking on the crosswalks. It would have been nice to have access to water on both sides to rinse off instead of just the side near the hot tub.

Great room but had some quirks

The room was nice, however ever now and then we would find a small bug. We are pretty sure they were baby roaches. We never saw a full size roach though. The front desk clerk who works nights was super nice. In nov. during thanksgiving weekend it was great bc u had pretty much free fun of the place. I do also like that the laundry facility allowed me to pay w my phone. That was awesome!

We Love staying here just need a designated real grass spot for the dogs would be great . Also a ramp to the beach for carts and older customers not wanting to use the stairs. Overall our stay was great we will return.Staff is so nice.

Honest review

We stayed at the Ocean Resort by Vacasa in Sept 2022. The pictures posted on VRBO were accurate. Check in process was easy and we were given on opportunity of early check in and late check out even though initially the site stated that it wasn’t available. The late check out was easily worth the money. I was skeptical about how clean the room was going to be because of it being pet friendly. If anyone has ever stayed at a hotel within Myrtle Beach knows that a great experience with a hotel is not guaranteed. Now if you’re a person who doesn’t have a problem leaving dirty dishes in the sink overnight and not making the bed every morning, you’ll be more than satisfied. If you’re the type that cleans the baseboards every month and vacuums daily, this won’t the be place for you. The room was clean enough that I didn’t observe any dust (fur) bunnies or insect carcasses. The appliances were very clean and all worked. The bed linens were clean but the towels are showing their heavy use. The issues we found were that the floor felt like it was only swept and not mopped and the mattresses in the room were very worn. The mattress my wife and slept on had worn springs in the middle and we kept rolling into each other. The pillows weren’t really comfortable but fine enough. The view was nice and the water pressure was great. The pools and hot tubs were great but they don’t offer pool side towels. The sauna was closed at the time so I can’t offer any review. Now I read reviews about roaches, let me say that I did not see any in the room but did see some around the out side pool area. This is to be expected as the resort is surrounded my water/moisture, obviously. Easy access to the beach and is located within a few blocks or miles of a lot of attractions. Parking is tight, but they have overflow if needed. If bringing a pet, I would definitely stay again. All in all, I would give it a 4 out of 5. Not the nicest I’ve stayed in, but for the price should definitely be worth your consideration.

Listing looked nothing like the pics. Dirty, cockroaches in the bathroom, dirty underwear found under sink in bathroom from a previous stay from someone else, parking issues. Would not recommend

Would stay again

I give this 4/5 stars simply because there are upgrades needed to the rooms. Doors and cabinets not in the greatest shape. Clean, friendly. Walking distance to a grocery store (1/2 mile). Less than a $15 Uber to/from airport. About a mile walk to decent restaurants. Boardwalk to the north with shops and restaurants is walkable. Room was humid. Limited dishes. Lots of chairs around pool and hot tubs. Short walk down to beach and shower to wash off sand is great!
