Luxury lake home built in 2004, located on a large private lot. Woods on one side, a creek on the other and the lake in front offer privacy, tranquility and beautiful views. Interior is decorated beautifully with solid cherry hardwood floors on the main level, corian countertops, comfort appliances and new furniture. There is a gas-burning fireplace on the lower level and a heat producing wood-burning fireplace with stone masonry on the main level. The house has central air conditioning.
The lower level has 2 bedrooms which sleep 5(3 singles in one room and 2 in the other), a half bathroom and a large family room with fireplace and a poker table. The main level has a porch across the back and a large deck all the way across the front, offering a huge 'extra room' outdoors. Also on the main level are 2 bedrooms(2 singles in one room and 1 in the other), a full bath, modern kitchen, laundry room, living room with fireplace, dining room and private sunroom. The second floor has two large bedrooms, each with queen-size beds, and a full bath. The back yard has enough room to park 6+ cars and there is room for boat or snowmobile trailers.
We are located directly across from the famous Chautauqua Institute which is world-renown for its cultural offerings. There are numerous golf courses, hiking trails, restaurants nearby. Downhill skiing is 20 minutes away; there are numerous snowmobile trails running very close to the property.
Three generations of our family enjoyed a wonderful family occasion at this home. Beautiful weather had us out on the porch gazing at the lake. We love to cook and we shared family meals and card games! I would recommend this spectacular home to families who want to spend time together.
Due to busy work and personal schedule, we made vacation plans late and were lucky to find this GEM, nestled in the woods on a beautiful lakeside expanse.
Located immediately across Chatauqua Lake from the renowned Chatauqua Institute, this property met our every need. Whether for your family or shared with others, this exceptionally well appointed home provides every amenity and the perfect environment for a truly relaxing get away.
The owners were very attentive to our every need and we highly recommend this property. We hope to be back.
I was in the area for a wedding at Chautauqua Institute. My parents and siblings shared the house. Although there were not enough queen beds for all the couples, the amount of living space, deck, fishing, yard, and fire pit made up for this. The house looks just like the pictures, but they do not really do the house justice for how nice it is and spacious. The owner was prompt in asking any questions I had throughout the 6 months of securing the rental and the dates we were there. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely return. Niagara Falls was an easy 90 minute drive, including the delay at the Canadian border for costumes.
Our 3 families have stayed on Chautauqua Lake several times in the past few years. This is the nicest home with the most complete set of accommodations that we have enjoyed. The bedrooms are all as described and well appointed. The kitchen is complete and was ideal for our group of 12. The large outside deck, yard, lake view, dock, and lake access are wonderful. The owners were responsive to any questions we had but left us to our own otherwise. This home creates a sense of privacy for all to enjoy and we hope to return!
I was surprised that the photos on the site where very accurate. The home was lovely. We purchased wood for the evening and had a lovely fires. I would recommend this property to others. Some of the matte rises down on bottom floor needed replaced. It was clean but we felt we cleaned it better then when we got there. The only room that was a complete mess was the laundry room. There where 9 girls and we had a wonderful time. The view of the lake was spectacular and summer would be fun to stay. We went into Ellicottville on Saturday for the Fall Festival which was so much fun. We had dinner at Ye Hare'N Hounds in Bemus Point. Shopped at a shop in Bemus Point that had lovely women's clothing.
Down a country lane is a lovely treasure that proudly sits on Lake Chautauqua. You can easily see
that the house was built from the owners heart and soul. We had a great time even in bad weather.
The owners were very nice and informative. A wonderful 40th anniversary celebration over these
