The big draw to this property is how overly pet friendly it is! Some say it even caters more to dogs than to people. Onsite services include FURlogy Paw Spa & Retreat offering dog-sitting and grooming services. We also have a great pool area and sundeck for guests to enjoy.

There is a 40 lb weight limit for dogs. Restricted breeds include Pit Bulls, Staffordshire Terriers, German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Presa Canarios, Chow, Mastiffs, Doberman Pinschers, Akita, Wolf hybrids, Cane Corso, Great Danes, Alaskan Malamutes, Boxers, Huskies, American Bulldogs, Mini Bullies, and Belgian Malinois. This includes mixes of these breeds as well.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us.

Our 4th year back

We never have any complaints with our room or service. You are getting exactly what you pay for. The kitchen is everything you need, beds are mostly comfortable and always have good expertise with any customer service interaction.

Misleading and gross

Upon arrival, check in was pretty easy except for the staff that had an attitude when asking me about my dog. Walking into the room, it was very muggy and looked quite different from the photos, including the furniture, wall art, and overall vibe. It was definitely not cleaned prior to our arrival, and if it was, it was way below standards. We couldn’t sleep both nights because it was so hot even though we had the ac all the way up and all through the night we could hear people yelling, slamming doors, dogs barking for hours, sirens, alarms, you name it. The shower was gross and didn’t drain. We tried to spend as little time in the room as possible because it was so bad. I would not step foot in the pools or hot tubs on the property, as every part of the property was gross. The only good thing about this property is that it’s on the beach.

I liked that there was a great view. Otherwise, the room was small, loud and the sleeper was horrible to try to sleep on. Can't sleep in the bedroom due to doors slamming and people walking by. The staff was fine. The room was outdated and they really should put the Murphy bed back. Also, the A/C was really loud. Bothersome when trying to sleep.

Small but enough

This room advertised a wall bed which is didn't have so we were cramped as far as sleeping arrangements for 5 adults and a dog. Overall it was decent quality for the price. Location was great Pools and hot tubs were open Elevator slow but worked Had a good stay overall

Family vacation

This year was our third year staying at OceanPark. We love the location and this hotel is great if you wanna bring your fur babies on vacation with the family.

This place is a dump

This place advertised as a small dog facility, yet after 8 hours of driving, we were greeted with a rude snarky girl at reception. You have to show your dog at check in. She asked what type the dog was and we told her she was a mutt but was a boxer lab mix. She immediately brought out a list of excluded dogs and pointed to boxers as excluded. You could clearly see that our small dog was maybe 10% boxer. Maybe her color. Who ever heard of a small boxer? But, obviously this girl knew nothing of dogs. After a heated argument she agreed to let us stay. It got worse from there. When we got to our room the bedroom light was broken. The electrical socket in the kitchen didn't work. I had to use the toaster in the bathroom. The dining table was wobbly. The ceiling had tiles that were broken or loose and I was afraid to fix them in case something fell on me. I went down to reception and complained but nothing was fixed. I asked about laundry facilities and was told they were broken. There was a DVD rental machine in the lobby and it was broken. An ATM was out of service. There was no can opener. They claimed to be small dog friendly, but there were signs everywhere stating no animals permitted and you had to carry you dog in the elevators. How can you carry a 40 lb dog. You're either a small dog friendly place or not. The area was also very seedy. The building next door was rundown. The building next to that offered rooms for rent for $29 per night. I expected my car to be broken into

The best spot

We loved the view from our balcony. Easy to get to beach and walk my dog. All conveniences were available in the unit. We so enjoyed our stay!!!!

Good for the price.

My family of four + two dogs stayed here for a week and had a good experience. While there was a very strong ammonia smell in our room when we first checked in, it was gone by the second day. We chalked it up to proper sanitation in between guests with pets. The pictures online definitely make the rooms look nicer than they are but again you get what you pay for. The staff was helpful, the beach was great and my kids loved being in and out of the pool all week. Overall a good experience.

Great hotel!

Ocean Park is our favorite dog friendly place to stay

Our favorites are: Underground well lighted handicap parking spaces as well as regular underground parking, underground dog area. The easy ability room reservation service and special needs rooms available.

Great stay!

Very nice pet friendly stay! The pet store on the first floor was awesome and staff was incredibly nice! The front desk staff were very professional. Place was also clean, has several pools and a large hot tub. The property is right on the beach so you can’t go wrong there. It also has great ocean front balcony views! I will definitely visit again soon! Thanks
