Whether you are relaxing with family or enjoying time with friends, BearSlide Inn was designed to help you slow down and make lasting memories.

Step outside to two levels of decks where you can swing or rock while listening to the sounds of nature. Unwind in the six-person hot tub after a day of hiking, shopping, or exploring the Smokies. Fire up the charcoal grill and enjoy dinner at the outdoor dining table while watching for wildlife.

Inside, the game area offers fun for all ages with pool, air hockey, foosball, darts, and a Pac-Man arcade. High-speed Wi-Fi and cable flat-screen TVs provide entertainment and convenience throughout your stay.

The well-stocked kitchen features stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher, making meal preparation easy. A stackable washer and dryer allows you to return home with clean clothes.

Guests also enjoy access to the seasonal swimming pool and stocked fishing pond at Honeysuckle Meadows, located at the bottom of the road.

Absolutely amazing stay!

The hot tub was absolutely amazing and a great way to end a day of walking or hiking, and was perfect with the weather. The Mountain View’s off the balcony were absolutely breathtaking. It was so surreal to eat breakfast on the balcony with such epic views. All amenities were there, and we loved having all the options for games. The washer/dryer worked perfectly and with a child were much needed on our trip. Thank you for making this stay so perfect and enjoyable! We can’t wait to come back and will be staying at bear slide Inn again.

This home was away from the hustle and bustle of town and really afforded us a nice getaway! The view from the cabin is beautiful and as we drove up and down the mountain, we saw several bears (including a mom and her cubs!). The cabins amenities were great for our kids, including the games, arcade game, pool table, etc. The hot tub was really nice also. The house was clean and included all the kitchen items we needed to prepare our meals at home. Overall, I really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend this home to a friend!

Needs a little maintenance (dishwasher, hot tub) but everything functioned as required. Overall a nice stay. We loaded the dishwasher at checkout but 100 miles down the road we realized we may have forgotten to start it.

Wonderful family trip!

We booked this cabin for 5 (4 adults and 1 four year old). The accommodations were perfect, we loved that the upstairs loft had a pool table and Pac-Man. The drive to the cabin was breathtaking; right up the mountain! Check- in was easy with no issues. The view out the back was beautiful. It was a decent drive to the National Park (try to hike early and on the weekdays to avoid the crowds, if possible). Would definitely recommend!

Great view!

The cabin is comfortable. It is a bit far from town and further from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg than expected. We did enjoy seeing a new area of TN! The cabins are close together, however, all surrounding us were courteous. We uses Xplorie for the courtesy tickets and it was a very easy process. We enjoyed our time!

January 2022 Stay

We had a blast! The cabin is clean and beautiful! The view is breathtaking! The owners are very responsive and nice! We had small little things that needed attention but the owners texted me back asap and fixed the problem! Our Wi-Fi was not working due to an area outage so the owner brought us a personal hotspot to use!

Overall, Very Pleased

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciate the communication we had with the host. The cabin was a bit dusty. And, we were slightly disappointed to find that the jets in the upstairs Jacuzzi didn't work. I just wish we had known that going in. However, it would not have changed out minds about the cabin. Would definitely stay again! :)

Had to have the windows cleaned because we couldn’t see out of them. Had to dust under and around tv and mantle. But is was a beautiful place otherwise.

Overall a nice cabin. The bed in the loft would not work for anyone besides a small child and the mattress doesn’t stay on the frame well at all. We ended up having that child sleep on the couch. There was also lots of bay or rodent poop all over the porches that I had to sweep off before we could even step foot on it so the kids would one track it in.

Thanks for your feedback Cheryl. The beds are pictured accurately. We understand that everyones mattress is particular. We do choose a middle of the road firmness to accommodate as many people as possible. So glad you found the cabin clean and enjoyed the view. As for the outdoor decks; We are in the mountains. Raccoons and squirrels frequent our decks and have even had a bear. We will work on training them to do their business off the decks.

Ouch! Mayra we are not happy that you had such a poor experience. This is not a normal occurrence. We sure wish you would have contacted someone to allow us an opportunity to make this right. We have a consistent HK on this cabin that always does a great job. We will investigate to find out what happened and ensure a better stay in the future.

The location was great the view was fantastic we stayed in another cabin before on that street also before that’s why we booked another cabin although they are managed by different companies. This place Was nice a little to much bear decor but our main issue was that there were lots of rugs and not secure on the floor they slid around and I had my 75 yr old father whom has Parkinson’s and he kept tripping And sliding on the rugs and the rug under the dinning room is a bit old so the edges are flipped up slightly and he fell that. The other rugs I moved until we left so that was ok and I did have to clean a little when we got there the table and some dishes that were in the cabinet. Windows where filthy also but I Wasn’t spending my vacation cleaning. I just felt Like I should have not paid the cleaning charge when I had to clean after the last person

Thanks for your feedback Vanessa. We replaced all of the rugs in this cabin directly before your stay so to hear you thought they were old is a bit odd. The owner of the cabin also stayed directly before you so to hear you found things unkept is a little alarming. We also dont charge a cleaning fee if you would like to go back and look at your invoice. Thank you for staying with us.

Okay but was expecting a little nicer and cleaner

We have been visiting the area just about every year for the past 27 years we were actually married not far from this cabin. This was the first time that we actually rented a cabin. There was five of us in our party plus our small dog. The cabin was ok but not great we had plenty of room it could use a better cleaning there was actually a dirty sock and a little food on one of the couches downstairs and it could use a good dusting and the windows cleaned. The jets in the tub upstairs didn’t work and the heating unit might need to be looked at it cold while we was there but not extremely. It was in the low 30’s at night but the cabin never would get above 67 degrees till on up in the day and the thermostat was set on 70 so it was a little chilly for us. Which I had read the previous reviews and seems others had said about the same thing we just assumed everything had been fixed. I hate to leave a bad review and I’m not saying it was terrible but it could have been better.

We understand this was a first stay in a cabin and for future reference if you have issues please call us. We are more than happy to address concerns and help with items you may not know how to operate. The HVAC is a heat pump. We have instructions that tell you to turn on the AuxHeat when temps drop below 40. The heat pump does not work efficiently without the AUX when it gets very cold. Cabins are inherently more dusty than other homes. With solid surfaces everywhere some dust is normal although a thick layer of dust is not. We will most definitely investigate this. The upstairs tub is not a jetted tub so I am very perplexed at what jets you are referencing. perhaps you are referencing another place you stayed around the same time?

Cabin is older, lots of damage, scratches everywhere furniture very old and worn. jacuzzi does not work (was told by maintenance "hasn't worked for a while, needs parts") yet picture of it is in the listing. Hot tub was foaming with some kind of soap, someone came to clean it. Everything is very loud, was expecting a quiet restful week but hot tub motor runs all the time, loud, sometimes vibrating the entire cabin. Precariously on second floor balcony, deck shook at one point. Very unsettling. Beds are very old, very squeeky. Pool table is very old, broken. Neighborhood had nothing in walking distance, not even hiking trails. I asked to speak with management about the broken jacuzzi but no one replied. Fireplace is gas. Disappointing rental.

Some people are more difficult to please. We had a 5 star review directly before this traveler. The Jacuzzi tub is still pictured but is clearly stated in our listing this is a soaking tub. as the parts to repair this are obsolete. We hope to find refurbished parts in the future but until then it is a soaking tub. Our hot tub is cleaned and balanced by a. professional pool company between every stay. Yes hot tubs do run constantly, thats what keeps the water warm and filtered for sanitary purposes. The beds are log furniture and they may make noises but we havent had other complaints about this. We do not advertise anything within walking distance so I am not quite sure why this would be expected. Cabins are built all across this county and very few of them are walking distance to hiking trails as the hiking trails are in the national park where cabins cannot be built. As far as not replying; we spoke with this guest on numerous occasions multiple times each day. She could not be satisfied regardless of the number of times we were contacted and we responded. We wish her the best in finding suitable accommodations with other companies in the future.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Bear Tracts staff were very helpful. Cabin was clean and stocked well. However the cabin needs some work. My 85 year old mother slept in king bed which headboard on the window side and wind was blowing through on her. She then slept at the foot of the bed to prevent getting sick. A lot of the windows throughout the cabin were drafty the high ones upstairs where I slept when the wind would blow the blinds were moving. The back deck needed some repair and the oven looked old and dirty so we did not cook in the oven while we were there. Some of the cooking pots that were Teflon coated were in real bad shape. We didn’t want to use those so we used the stainless ones that were provided. You also had to watch that first step coming into the cabin on the front porch. It was sunk in to the concrete had to really make sure my mom got in OK and out. All in all we had a good stay, but the cabin needs a few upgrades. Also one of the remotes for the TV had no batteries. The other one that had batteries didn’t work and then the skinny remote for the Samsung TV is the one we had to use in order to watch TV. instructions for the hot tub and the TV need to be updated and reviewed.

Beautiful Cabin and Amazing View

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our stay at Bear Slide Inn. We were there for 4 nights, starting 11/9/22. Everything was exactly as pictured and described. The cabin was beautifully decorated, clean and had pretty much everything you need, even a wine opener (but no wine glasses) and blow dryer. The views from both floors inside the cabin and on the covered porches was fantastic. April was a pleasure to deal with as we contacted her a few times with questions before our stay and she was very responsive, friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed using the hot tub. Just make sure you turn up the temperature a few hours in advance of when you plan to use it. It was so relaxing drinking our morning coffee on the porch and watching the low clouds among the mountains and then slowly disappear as the sun started to filter in. The cabin was located in The Preserve Resort, which is like a small development in the mountains. The roads getting in were all paved and in great shape, but they were narrow, curvy, steep in some places and dark. The Preserve has quite a few cabins so you aren't exactly secluded, but we preferred that as access was easy. The free tickets were fantastic and there really was no catch. We got a free ticket to Dollywood, Anakeesta and zip lining and all we had to do was call. There was no sales pitch or pressure to do anything else. We would definitely recommend Bear Tracts and Bear Slide Inn.

Minor issues: 1. Upstairs TV control missing batteries and back cover. 2. Need instructions on use of TV’s. 3. 2nd floor balcony missing one spindle and another was hanging on tread. Significant hazard especially for small children. 4. 2nd floor jacuzzi jet directional control fell out with each use. 5. Entrance railing rotting and is a hazard. 6. Access codes for property gym and pool did not work. Property manager was MIA. 7. Cleanliness could be improved. 8. There are significant areas of scratches on the floors, doors,, and walls. 9. Dryer vent/lint basket was not attached, replacing did not work…it fell out again. 10. All three external doors are sticking. 11. Windows were filthy. 12. Upon arriving the hot tub water source was leaking onto the first floor deck. On positive note. 1. Location was good. 2. Creature sightings included:,17 bear, 10 elk, 1boar, 4 deer, and many turkeys, 3. The A/C worked…temps in 90’s. 4. Honeysuckle Meadow facilities were great. 5. Very quiet neighborhood. 6. Excellent views of sunrise from pavilion. 7. Hot tub, Games, loft, were fun for all. 8. Park was exceptional. 9. Bear decor was adorable. 10. Supplies provided were adequate. The Dyga family.
