We felt very lucky to stay at this beautiful, peaceful house with three generations of our family. The house has four good bedrooms all with a private bathroom, the kitchen/living room area was a little cramped at times (there were eight of us), but the dining room and terrace provided plenty of space to relax. The bar was a fun area to play games, and gardens are beautiful. We spent most evening sitting on the terrace playing games and drinking wine! The views from the terrace are amazing! Olivier was very helpful and friendly - we would definitely like to come back!

Great country location!

Enjoyed this quiet, peaceful location in the country. It was a great home base for sightseeing in Normandy. Home had everything we needed. The host was very responsive if we had questions.

Beautiful holiday home

Very charming holiday home located at a quiet street. The house offers everything you need and the inside is like a museum. The bakery is just a 5 minute drive and you can pick fresh eggs every morning. The welcoming was also very friendly. Highly recommended!

Quiet countryside retreat

Super chouette! After a busy week in Paris, this was the perfect retreat for our group of friends. Christophe was very welcoming and gave us wonderful recommendations for local merchants. The house is very unique and full of wonderful surprises. It is in a great location for getting to many of the sites in the area. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Great stay

We had a lovely week staying at the house. Very quiet & peaceful location, feel the house is even better even than the pictures on the site. We spent many hours sitting on the terrace taking in the lovely views.Fresh eggs most days from the chickens, house had everything we needed & had a real family home feel. Christophe was very helpful welcoming us to the house when we arrived. The village has a great restaurant, would certainly recommend a visit, as well as a trip to the zoo at Cerza, only about 20 min drive away & one of the best zoos we have visited.Overall a very relaxing break, thank you Christophe & your family.

Great gite, perfect countryside stay!

A wonderful stay in a quirky, beautiful traditional gite with a tower!! Set in lovely large grounds, on the side of a valley... The views were wonderful! We loved spending time on the deck in the evenings and at meal times, the countryside peace was fabulous. The gite has 4 great bedrooms and we had everything we could need. The walk down to the village provided great exercise!!! It's very hilly! WiFi is intermittent depending on where you are on the property but the mobile signal is generally quite good. The hot tub was great, it is a wood fire heated hot tub so it takes a while to heat up but once heated, it was relatively easy to keep warm for the duration of our stay. We loved looking after the chickens and enjoyed our 2 eggs!

The most beautiful French country home!

This is one of the first times that a VRBO was actually more beautiful than the pictures. If you want to know what it's like to live in a french chateau, then this the place for you. Located in a beautiful little town and central to all the normandy beach locations, this is the perfect family place. 4 full bedrooms with plenty of bathrooms and the downstairs bar to boot - like an english pub. This has been updated head to toe with modern conveniences'. The shower downstairs is very high tech and wonderful. Also, there is a chicken that will become a family favorite (we named Gastone) who just loves to hang out with the fam all day. This is truly one of the most beautiful places you could rent - so if you have the chance - don't miss this. Footnote, we had 7 and everyone had plenty of room to sleep and wander throughout this awesome chateau.

ok the property was superb, the bedrooms and bathrooms were good the dinning room spaciouswhere it fell short was in having somewhere for 8 people to sit and relax, the TV area only had seating for 4 and the bar area was split in two by a large display case so sitting together in the evening was not possible. Again there was no comfortable garden seating to accommodate 8 guests a table and seating by the barbeque would have been welcome.the kitchen was small and the oven opened over the hob which made using the oven problematic. The pub had no sink no glasses and was cramped with all of the objects displayed.our over all impression was that there were to many objects with little space to relax as a party of 8. but a great house great location and we enjoyed our stay.

Bonneville-la-Louvet

We spent a week here in September with family. Not sure the photo's do justice to the house itself, some of the photo's indicate that the place was a little dated, that was certainly not the case, it is truly lovely with stunning views down the valley, we used the hot tub a couple of times which was nice, if I'm honest we didn't quite get the temperature right but enjoyable nonetheless. Christophe could not have been more helpful and even drove 2 hours following a power cut to make sure everything was back on again, that is going above and beyond! We managed to get 5 eggs in a week from the 2 chickens who frequently parked themselves outside the front door in search of food, strangely they really like cheese sticks but didn't appreciate apple sauce. The Italian restaurant in the village is also a treasure to be explored, we ate there twice and the food was excellent both times. All in all a lovely house in a wonderful location.

Landschloss
