Great place in Richmond

We had a wonderful three days stay here! Loved the decor and all the art on the walls. The backyard was perfect for outdoor dinners and playing CanJam! Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked-thanks for a great place for our family!

perfect accommodation

we were in Richmond for a memorial service and celebration of life. We needed a large space to accommodate family and friends from out of town. This house fitted the bill to perfection.

A comfortable house!

We were a group of 8 people in our 60s and 70s for a three night stay to tourist around the area. The owner was very easy to deal with and very accommodating. The house had enough comfy seating for us all to sit and talk and a clean and very well-equipped kitchen. It has plenty of parking, easy-to-use internet access, and was located in a quiet area. The only real problem we had was that the downstairs bunk bed room and the downstairs bathroom were both a bit awkward to use and we couldn't tell that from the description. Definitely worthwhile!

It was very dated. The fifth bedroom was in a mudroom. It wasn’t a safe spot or a reasonable place to ask someone to sleep. The cabinets were all filled with food as though someone lived there. The AC units didn’t work well. An overall disappointment after being charged 2 times the quoted amount on their VRBO ad. Like staying at an elderly grandmothers house with old towels and sheets.

Sallie, I'm sorry you felt it was dated, it was renovated 3 years ago. The fifth bedroom is entirely safe, with a smoke detector. I do in fact live at the house in the winter and spring and I keep a cabinet above the fridge, marked 'private' for my own food. There are 5 AC units plus a heat pump, all about 2 years old and we've never had any problems with them. You messaged that you were upset about what you were paying after you booked and asked for an explanation. I forwarded all the information I have from VRBO and never heard from you about it. We have no control over how VRBO displays prices but we've also never had a complaint about that either. And the towels and sheets are washed after each guest and replaced roughly every 2 years. As to it being an 'elderly grandmothers house' that's just mean to me and to grandmothers. We work very hard to deliver a 5 star experience, as all the rest of the 6 reviews show.

Maine Ironman 70.3 house

We had a group of 6 adults and 2 teens stay at this nice house for the August long weekend while competing at Ironman 70.3 Maine. The house is about 30 min from the race venue and offered a nice, comfortable place for our group to stay. Big kitchen, dining room, living room and 5 bedrooms easily accommodated our whole group. Thanks for the nice house Axel! Sindy.

So Comfortable

Axel is excellent in communication. He always gets back to me faster than expected. The house is old but definitely spiffed up. Everything is as described and comfortable. After a day of hiking a good shower, a well lit kitchen, seating for everyone, comfortable sofa and choice of television, books, puzzles or games is very much appreciated. Everyone enjoyed their comfortable beds. Our dog enjoyed the long fenced in yard; great for ball chasing (he hasn’t learned the fetching part). The view is a pretty neighborhood but not that important when there are so many places to visit just down the road and. 25 - 55 minutes away. It is a good location for what we like to do. We will definitely try to stay here again.
