This was the perfect home for our family of 11. The house was so spacious and clean! We loved the thoughtful welcome basket with chips & salsa! The kids went crazy for the arcade games downstairs. The fire pit was awesome and the hot tub was so much fun! We loved the loft with the master bath upstairs! The host was super responsive and it was seemless! Location amazing! We loved the mineral museum, we actually got to hold a piece of the moon and mars! House is so close to the mountain too! We did a family gondola ride and hit the taco truck! What a fantastic family weekend we will never forget! Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven! We will be back!

Host Andre was extremely responsive. The home was in a lovely area and was well stocked with plenty of clean linens and toiletries even shampoo and conditioners. Spacious home close to fun activities including nature walks and a short drive to covered bridge and gem museum (15 entrance fee but fun experience). Family and pet friendly with nice host. Big dining table that seats eight which is nice for family dinners. Large tv upstairs and one downstairs and in main bedroom. We don’t need bunk beds but there are plenty for those with kids. Nice large windows with lovely views and heat pumps for air conditioning which is nice. Three bathrooms-one on each level. Main bath has large double vanity. We would definitely stay there again.

Nice house and location

We had a good weekend at this home and we enjoyed being close to Sunday River. The young kids appreciated the basement area with the pac man game and the adults loved the hot tub after skiing.

Our group of 10 or so ladies had a lovely time at the property. We made good use of the large kitchen and enjoyed both the hottub and fire pit.

Perfect for our large family

We had a great time in Newry and the house was perfect for our large family; the layout with the separate basement living area was very convenient. The large windows and the different outdoor areas were amazing paired with the most ideal weather we had.

Close to ski mountain

We really enjoyed staying at this home. The house is beautiful, comfortable and spacious. It had the 2 things I love in a ski house, a hot tub and a fireplace! The owner was prompt with responses to a couple questions I had. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful property. Beautiful scenery. The house was a very nice size and had all the conveniences!! The property owner was exceptional at staying in contact and answering timely. Definitely would recommend staying in this house and absolutely loved the location!!!

First 3 generation get-a-way

Very family oriented 3 story chalet. We stayed 3 nights and the owner was always available for questions we had. We had 13 in our party 6 adults, 7 children ages 8 mos to 10 yrs old. We will plan another family vacation to stay here again!

Comfortable place in beautiful locale

Plenty of room for our large family to gather, relax, hike, fish, bike, and swim. Much appreciated having a very well-equipped kitchen, a new grill, nice deck, and a washer and dryer. Communication with Andre was excellent. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful mountain home!

This home was perfect for our friends’ vacation getaway. We were a group of 4 couples, and we had such a fun, restful time. We relaxed in the hot tub, made s’mores over the fire pit, and enjoyed the nearby attractions, like tubing down the river, and swimming at the Step Falls trail. The kitchen is well-stocked with all the appliances and prep tools we needed, and all the rooms were clean and comfortable. The host was very responsive when we had questions, and check-in/out were very easy. Would absolutely stay again!

Home away from home

We didn't plan on staying inside so much during our ski weekend, but the deep freeze with -20 below temps changed our plans. Regardless, there was plenty of firewood that kept the fireplace going and the house was warm and cozy, like we were home. Andre is a great host and was always available and very responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful!

Wonderful property! Everything was neat and clean, plenty of towels, supplies, kitchen ware. New AC's worked great. Road up to house was a little exciting with only a front wheel drive minivan after all the rain, but we got there. Owner was very responsive and helpful to our requests. Kids were sad on our last day and wanted to stay longer. Highly recommend!

Amazing Home!

My husband and our adult children could not have been more pleased with our stay at Andre's home. It was so beautiful, clean and extremely close to Sunday River ski resort, not to mention the numerous breweries/restaurants in the area. The views surrounding the home/area were incredible. The house was very big for a large family, and at the same time, it felt very warm and welcoming. Andre is a very pleasant and responsive host. I am already looking forward to planning another visit. Andre - thank you again for opening up your home to us.

Wonderful home!

Andre is a great property manager, so fast with his responses and very helpful. He’s made a home away from home with thoughtful items provided (kids toys and coloring things, coffee filters, soaps, laundry detergent, etc.). We had a very full house, but it never felt like we were on top of each other. We were there at a crazy heat wave for Maine so it was very hot, it’d be nice if there were some extra a/c units, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would absolutely return and recommend!!!

Destination Newry for family summer vacation

We found the gems of Newry and made some fun family memories at the private Sunday River home. Nine of us traveled from FL, KY, and OH to be together with a quick stop in Boston just before. Great host and house, communicative and accommodating. Everything was just as described. We stay at similar places around the country each year and look for special things to accommodate the needs of our family. This place had wonderful toys and games for the kids and a stocked kitchen and beautiful new grill for preparing family meals. Only thing that could be improved would be the well worn main living room furniture. A bit uncomfortable, but we managed. Beds were all comfy. Thanks Newry and Andre! You are both fabulous in memories.

Beautiful house. Great location!

We recently rented this lovely home in Newry. A family of 5 with 3 teenagers. The house is exactly as described. 3 floors of living space. The master bedroom is in loft area. It was great set-up. There are 2 bedrooms on main floor, and 2 more on lower level. The lower level is perfect for another family...or for the kids/teens. There is a second kitchen on lower level, another living room. The main kitchen is so open and roomy. Well stocked and equipped with pots, pans, cups, plates, etc all in nice condition. Yes, I've rented places where the kitchen wares were so worn and old. Not here! The hottub is so crystal clean and perfect for relaxing. The teens enjoyed smores at the firepit. The home is close to several swimming holes, hiking trails, Sunday River. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed!

Awesome long weekend

We all enjoyed our stay at this fantastic home. We had a total of 10 family members that came together to celebrate Thanksgiving. We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend stay. The host Andre was very easy to work with and was very responsive with any questions we had. If you are looking for a great home layout for multiple families and very close to skiing then this is the house for you. Thank you.
