Location was awesome! House needs a deep cleaning everywhere inside and out. A little maintenance wouldn't hurt either. Overall it was okay!

Thank you for staying with us and for sharing your feedback. We’re so glad you enjoyed the location, but we’re sorry to hear that some aspects of the home fell short of your expectations. We always want our guests to feel comfortable and welcome, and we wish we had known about your concerns during your stay so our team could have helped. Since your visit, the home has received a deep cleaning, and all of the outdoor decks and tables have been pressure washed. We’ve also noted the chipped corner of the deck board. The deck is made from specialty ipe wood, which takes some additional time to source for replacement. We appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to continue caring for this special home.

The trip was magical! Lots of stuff for the kids to do. Spent lots of our time fishing and shell hunting. The shells are endless.

This was year 2 for us at North Captiva as well as at Captiva Beach Sunset. We love the location of the home. We walk right out onto the beach. We can view the sunsets from the home. There's plenty of rooms and bathrooms. The light in one of the bunk rooms wouldn't work at all. The remote worked on the other bunk room light as well as the remote in that other room but not the one. The only real problem we've had was with trash. We would put the trash out and the raccoons would drag it all out. We picked it up 2 days in a row and then decided to just put it on the enclosed porch until we got ready to leave today. Having 2 golf carts is definitely a plus for having a large group. We would absolutely book this home again in the future.

What a great place and great hosts! First time for our group on North Captiva and it did not disappoint. Tons of wildlife, beautiful property, great fishing and great people. Will be back again!

Captiva Beach Sunset - Shally’s Seashells

We had an incredible month-long stay in this beachfront home. The breathtaking ocean views and stunning sunsets from our private property made every day feel like a dream. The home was incredibly comfortable and well-equipped, providing everything we needed for a long stay. It truly felt like a home away from home. The location was perfect—close to everything we needed while still offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. A special shoutout goes to Shally’s Seashell’s (Antonio, Ally, & Ally’s Daughter) which was simply the best and made our stay even more memorable. We started running low on supplies a couple times and they made it so effortless to get deliveries to your door! Thanks again! We highly recommend this property and would happily return for another extended stay!

Great Location

The house is in a perfect spot on the island. Everything was as described and Shally’s did a great job on helping us out and with communication. Would definitely recommend this house!

Great location, lots of rooms, love the pool

We booked this house in March and were not disappointed. The location is adjacent to the beach and the house had tons of room for our group of 9. An on sight pool was very nice since the Gulf of Mexico was still quite chilly. Shally's Seashells was very responsive to any request that we had. Would book again.

Awesome Location, Awesome House

Enough room for our entire family of 8 plus significant others. Location is amazing right on the beach. Tiny pool - nice for cooling off. House was clean, basically brand new from recent renovation. Thanks! Would stay again.

Our stay was wonderful. Location was perfect and the house certaily met all our needs. There were a few issues due to a recent renovations and possibly some over active prior guests that needed to be repaired, but Ally could not have been more accomodating and quick to respond. We will cretainly look to return next season.

Thank you for your kind review! We’re so happy you found the location perfect and that the home met all your needs. As you mentioned, there were “a few issues due to recent renovations and possibly some overactive prior guests.” For future guests: these turned out to be very minor — a dimmer switch on the kitchen lights, a grill that worked fine once tested, and a beeping smoke detector that had been tucked into a cabinet by a prior guest. Everything has since been corrected to ensure a smooth experience moving forward. We truly appreciate your understanding and are delighted to hear you’ll be returning next season. We look forward to welcoming you back!

Shallys Seashells were excellent hosts. They took care of everything we needed before we arrived and any little tiny issues that came up while we were there somebody was right there to take care of it for us. We have stayed a lot of places, but they definitely were the best host we have ever had! The house was gorgeous and Everything that the description stated about it was true. We will definitely be going back to North Captiva and rent a house managed by Shally’s seashells again! Island Girl Ferry service was also outstanding.

What a fantastic stay we had! The house was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. The pool table and darts were nice for something to do in the evenings. We were able to watch the sunset right from the balcony which was perfect! The house is perfectly situated with only needing to walk across the “street” to be at the beach. The hosts were very responsive to any and all communication. Definitely recommend!

Captiva Sunset Beach

The house is large with a nice layout and comfortably housed our family of 8 adults. It is ideally located directly on a wonderful beach. The owners are responsive, replacing a broken pool heater while we were there. The island has some scars from the recent hurricanes but is recovering well. This is a great spot for a private beachfront getaway.

Sunset Views & Family Fun

Our stay started off very easy due to the communication from the property management group. We ordered our groceries ahead which was such a great idea as they were waiting for us for an easy lunch after a day of travel. We did not have too many issues, but everything was met with prompt service and communication. The house and location was perfect for our families. Location at the beach was a prime spot for viewing sunsets and the kids lived the pool every day. Captiva has our hearts and it was such a wonderful vacation.

Best location on the island!

The house is exactly as described- plenty of space for our large extended family. What we did not expect is that we were on the best beach on the island! The fishing and shelling were incredible and the sandbar at the point made it even better. We had a few minor issues with the internet and grocery orders, but management was prompt with service. This was our first time on the island and by the end of the week, we were getting very comfortable with island life!

The hype is real!

My whole family just got staying here for a week, 13 people ranging from ages 7 months to 64, and every single one of us loved it! The house was spacious, clean and had everything you needed. The views were beautiful from the porches. The pool was perfect for the kids when the beach got too hot! The hosts were reliable and quick to respond/help. We all give it 2 thumbs up and can’t recommend this home away from home enough!
