The Alsatian hart - Panoramic views

Merci d'avoir séjourné aux Remparts de Riquewihr. Nous sommes heureux de savoir que vous avez passé un bon séjour. Soyez les bienvenus dès que vous le souhaiterez !

Thank you Chris and Suzan for being such valuable and faithful guests for so long already. It is always a pleasure to have you with us. Earlier this year (2018) our region of Colmar and Riquewihr, Alsace was voted #3 Best Destination in Europe. Alsace is unquestionably spectacularly beautiful. A very special combination of history, culture, scenery, and especially food and wine makes it one of the most delightful places to visit in all of Europe. Riquewihr is a very practical base to visit all Alsace, the Vosges mountains and even nearby Germany and Switzerland. But you know this already and were able to experience it. Be welcome back anytime. Martine and Jean-Paul

Thank you Pat, you got it all in your 3 sentences: this is exactly what we wanted to do when we reconstructed this old medieval winery facing the vineyards and sitting on top of the ramparts. Thank you for staying with us and be welcome anytime! Jean-Paul

Thank you so much for staying with us at Les Remparts de Riquewihr. The Alsatian Hart apartment is located in an old winery built in 1580 on top of the defence wall faving the most famous vineyard in the area. Although the house was in a very bad shape when we purchased it, we were seduced by the location: very near to the center of the village but slightly off (80 meters) to be quiet and peaceful; fantastic views instead of having a neighbour too close by; easy access by car. We did our best to renovate the house, including all modern amenities while keeping it historical flair. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your holiday. Welcome back anytime!

Thank you for being a faithful and valuable guest. We did our best to renovate those old historical houses and turn them into modern and comfortable holiday apartments while keeping the charm of the Alsatian architecture and traditions. We are proud to have received on May 1, 2 gold medals awarded by the Alsatian Heritage Houses Saving Association for our rescuing and restoring historic old houses in Riquewihr ...

We would like to say a big thank you for staying with us in Riquewihr. As you can imagine, restoring old historical places needs a lot of efforts, not only investment but ideas and some strengh and will to overcome all the obstacles. Learning that our guests are having a pleasant stay is our best reward. Riquewihr is a wonderful and romantic little medieval city hidden between the Vosges mountains and some of the most famous vineyards in Alsace. Although in a very preserved area, Riquewihr is only 7 miles from Colmar and minutes from other famous alsatian villages like Ribeauvillé, Hunawihr, Eguisheim or Kaysersberg. Our holiday apartments in Riquewihr are also a very practical base to visit all Alsace, the Vosges mountains and even nearby Germany and Switzerland. We have a website and a blog in English with plenty of pictures and and practical info to prepare your trip to Alsace.
