El ambiente excepcional y típico de este apartamento se debe principalmente a la madera tradicional conservada y a su ubicación en el segundo piso de una antigua casa renacentista que ofrece encantadoras vistas en todas direcciones.

Accesible por una amplia y cómoda escalera reconstruida según los estándares modernos, este apartamento ofrece espacio y confort con un encanto único, romántico e inusual. Se abre a los cuatro puntos cardinales. Un gran ventanal orientado al sur conecta las zonas de estar y comedor, frente a los tejados del antiguo pueblo medieval de Riquewihr.

Las ventanas del comedor alsaciano se abren hacia el este. Más allá de la torre de la iglesia, los frontones y los tejados del pueblo se pueden ver los viñedos de Schoenenbourg y el cercano pueblo de Zellenberg. En días despejados, la vista se extiende más allá de la llanura de Alsacia y el río Rin hasta las pequeñas colinas volcánicas de Kaiserstuhl Alemania (excelente viñedo, a sólo 45 minutos en coche desde Riquewihr) y hasta las montañas de la Selva Negra alemana.

En el otro lado, hacia el oeste, el ventanal del dormitorio principal ofrece unas vistas impresionantes de la famosa Torre de los Ladrones en la esquina de la muralla. Los viñedos de la colina de Schoenenbourg dan paso a los bosques y montañas de los Vosgos... Se puede acceder a la misma vista desde el baño privado.

Finalmente, hacia el norte, las ventanas del segundo y muy espacioso dormitorio dan a la impresionante muralla de 1291 y ofrecen unas vistas excepcionales a los viñedos de Schoenenbourg. En el momento de la cosecha, tomarás asiento en primera fila para cosechar las preciosas uvas y, durante todo el año, podrás seguir el meticuloso trabajo del enólogo.

Este apartamento es excepcional en toda la región de Alsacia y es nuestro apartamento más cómodo para 4 personas.

Great location, the apartment is as advertised. Quiet and clean with updated appliances, bathrooms, heating and cooling. The owner provided thorough and detailed information about the rental, as well as lists of where to eat and what to do in Riquewhir and surrounding area. Le Grand Cerf was perfect for our group of two couples traveling together. We are planning on coming back as soon as possible.

Perfect fairy tale get away.

Hard to describe how enchanting this little town is to begin with. The cherry on top is to have the most amazing place to enjoy it all. Comfortable, cozy, private, romantic large space with fantastic views from each window. All of the amenities and comforts of home. My husband and I spent four magical days here, and were able to easily park each day just down the steps outside of the complex. We traveled easily with a rental car to near by towns and countries. The town and its charming residents, restaurants, sweets shops grocery shops, wineries, charcuteries and more are enough to stay and enjoy all their own as well. Fantastic stay, with an exceptionally welcoming host. Thank you Jean-Paul

Tranquil retreat

Le Grand Cerf was a perfect retreat. The apartment was so comfortable, everything we needed for a delightful stay. Riquewihr is beautiful but could be a little busy at times but the apartment was so quiet. Lots of good restaurants near by. The views of the village from the surrounding vineyards were one of our favourite evening/morning walks. Lots of walks locally to Kayersburg or Hunawihr but we loved the proximity to Vosges for the scenery. We had no issues parking nearby. Everything was made very easy by Valerie on our arrival.

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans ce gîte plein de charme. Nous y avons apprécié ses prestations haut de gamme et sa décoration très chaleureuse. Nous avons eu grand plaisir à nous y retrouver en famille après des journées aux températures bien hivernales. Le paysage environnant ( vue sur les toits des maisons de la ville et les vignes) est tout à la fois beau et apaisant . Nous avons quitté ce gîte avec l'envie forte d'y revenir.

I doesn't get any better than this!

We have visited Riquewihr many times and stayed in six apartments offered by Jean-Paul and Martine Krebs in the Gîtes Les Remparts de Riquewihr. All are fantastic, but the Alsatian Hart is our absolute favorite. The interior of the Renaissance house and apartment is decorated in artistic taste and in the Alsatian style - exposed timber beams, painted cupboards and armoires and hardwood floors. The cozy sitting room, a bathroom with a jacuzzi and beds much bigger and more comfortable than at home make this a very elegant and comfortable place to stay. Top this off with great views of the vineyards and a wonderful collection of red tile rooftops that can be viewed from two balconies. Perfect for the leisurely breakfast, dinner or cocktail hour. John-Paul, Martine and their Valerie, their wonderful house manager make our stay special every time. When you come to Riquewhir, don’t pass up the opportunity to stay here.

Four fantastic nights at Alsatian Hart

This place in Riquewihr was everything it was advertised as. The home was very clean, well equipped, and ideally located to enjoy all of he attractions of the Alsace region. We would highly recomment this place to anyone who is looking to enjoy visiting the quaint towns, the many wineries, and the great food of the Alsace region.

An apartment that matches the charm of Riquewihr

We enjoyed our stay and were pleased that we chose to stay here. The rooms had all of the charm of a centuries old home, but with modern amenities. The building has been recently renovated and appeared to be professionally decorated. Original artwork adorned the walls. The bathrooms were clean and beautifully updated. The kitchen included new appliances and was well stocked. There are new windows throughout with views of the town and countryside in all four directions. We would recommend the Alsatian Hart to everyone.

Thank you so much for staying with us at Les Remparts de Riquewihr. The Alsatian Hart apartment is located in an old winery built in 1580 on top of the defence wall faving the most famous vineyard in the area. Although the house was in a very bad shape when we purchased it, we were seduced by the location: very near to the center of the village but slightly off (80 meters) to be quiet and peaceful; fantastic views instead of having a neighbour too close by; easy access by car. We did our best to renovate the house, including all modern amenities while keeping it historical flair. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your holiday. Welcome back anytime!

A wonderful vacation in a wonderful apartment

We stayed in the 2 BR 2 BA apartment for 7 nights, and our son and his Gf (aged 30) joined us for the weekend. We used this as a base for day trips to Kayserberg, Colmar, Strasbourg, Freiburg, and Staufen. The apartment is terrific - in a secluded spot but close to parking (Valerie provided us with a permit for a small fee) and many restaurants plus small markets for groceries. The air conditioning was great as our first few days coincided with a heat wave. A gas station and larger market were located in the next town. We enjoyed great dinners especially at Au Trotthaus and L'Original. Valerie and the owner were very responsive to our questions and concerns. Thank you for your hospitality. We highly recommend this special apartment.

Séjour magique dans le Grand Cerf !

Nous avons passé un week end vraiment parfait entre amies dans ce gîte : la décoration est magnifique et chaleureuse, tout est extrêmement bien pensé et équipé, la literie est extraordinaire et donnerait envie de ne plus quitter son lit ! Le matin on se lève dans un appartement baigné de lumière, avec une magnifique vue à chaque fenêtre. L'appartement est très bien situé à Riquewhir mais aussi dans la région, il est très facile d'accéder à des sites à visiter en faisant peu de voiture ce qui est très appréciable surtout le temps d'un week end. N'attendez plus et foncez vous ressourcer dans cet appartement !

Merci d'avoir partagé votre expérience. Le Grand Cerf est un appartement rare situé sur le rempart de 1291 faisant face au célèbre vignoble du Schoenenbourg. Le Grand Cerf bénéficie d'un classement officiel de 5 étoiles. Lorsque la météo est clémente, on peut apercevoir la Forêt-Noire depuis la table du petit-déjeuner ! De janvier à mars nos appartements, même les plus luxueux, sont proposés à des tarifs très doux et avec un minimum de séjour de 2 nuits au lieu de 3. Soyez les bienvenues en toute saison !

Highly recommended

Valerie came and met us from our car on a snowy evening in early January, when in spite of the good directions provided we failed to find the apartment. She was extremely friendly, efficient & welcoming and gave comprehensive instructions on how everything worked. The apartment is light bright, spacious & spotlessly clean, charmingly decorated with excellent quality of bedding & towels and everything you might need for your stay in the kitchen. The location within the ramparts, with exposed beams and views over the village and vineyards was magical. We stepped out for supper locally both nights to her recommended restaurants in the village and enjoyed not having to get back into the car after long days out exploring. Although several of the restaurants & shops were closed post Christmas we enjoyed having this extraordinary medieval village almost to ourselves and not besieged which it surely must be in high season. We will return most definitely!

Amoureux de Riquewihr j'ai bien l'intention de séjourner à nouveau cette année aux Remparts.

Still one of the best places we have ever stayed

We were here in January and enjoyed the frosting of snow while staying in The White Stork. We thought it was the best, but this time we are staying in Lucky Dragon and are enjoying the spring time so much. This is also a wonderful place. We especially love the jacuzzi bathtub, the large covered outside area and the careful attention to every detail. We would move in if we could. It couldn't be more perfect. This is our third stay, each time in a different and equally wonderful apartment. This is true luxury.

A fairy tale come true!

We spent a wintery week in a fairy tale come true. This is truly a wonderful place to spend time. The apartment was so comfortable we wanted to move in permanently. It lives up to all the charm that Riquewihr has to offer. Beautifully decorated and truly comfortable from the bed to the couches and the large bathtub with all amenities you could want. We wanted to come back for a few days this summer, but the dates we wanted were already taken. Be sure to make your reservations early and not miss this magical place. We received good recommendations for restaurants and wines of the area. Helpful owners and staff made the experience even better. There is so much to see and do in the area. Then in the evening when all the day trippers leave you have the town almost to yourselves. We loved the storks too.

Very Nice!

Our family spent a week at the Alsation Hart apartment. The suite is charming, nicely decorated and outfitted to a high standard. The two bedroom, two bath configuration was perfect for our stay. The air conditioning was a nice plus as well for those hot days. The property is ideally located on a quiet alley away from the busy areas of the town. Riquewihr and the surrounding areas are beautiful with lots to see and do for families as well as couples. The property manager, Valerie, was charming and easily contacted if needed.

Great location - easy drive from Strasbourg Airport, easily located, parking only short walk from apartment (located in ramparts on edge of town) and easy 5 mins walk from centre of town & restaurants etc. Apartment itself is a admirable example of restoration - it has character, but is also clean, comfortable, modern and user-friendly with 2 small but usable balconies. Also has pleasant views of the vineyards through bedroom windows. Five nights stay in this apartment was an ideal & idyllic break and Riquewihr is the perfect base for an explore of Alsace.

We would like to say a big thank you for staying with us in Riquewihr. As you can imagine, restoring old historical places needs a lot of efforts, not only investment but ideas and some strengh and will to overcome all the obstacles. Learning that our guests are having a pleasant stay is our best reward. Riquewihr is a wonderful and romantic little medieval city hidden between the Vosges mountains and some of the most famous vineyards in Alsace. Although in a very preserved area, Riquewihr is only 7 miles from Colmar and minutes from other famous alsatian villages like Ribeauvillé, Hunawihr, Eguisheim or Kaysersberg. Our holiday apartments in Riquewihr are also a very practical base to visit all Alsace, the Vosges mountains and even nearby Germany and Switzerland. We have a website and a blog in English with plenty of pictures and and practical info to prepare your trip to Alsace.

Stunning, our best rental ever!

This property far exceeded our expectations: for size, for quality of decor including an induction range, for overall charm.While Riquewihr is a destination throbbing with day trippers, White Stork is an oasis of calm 60 meters off the Main Street. When they leave, you go out and enjoy this wonderful village. The proprietors seem to have thought of everything to make this a perfect stay and a bargain in terms of price.
