Welcome to our comfy cabin near the lake. Enjoy the peace and quiet of this 2 bedroom 1.5 bath cabin away from the hustle of life. You can hang out on the front porch with your morning coffee, enjoy a leisure day at the lake, visit historic town of Fayetteville, hike one of many trail or take a whitewater rafting trip. After a day of fun, cook out on the grill or enjoy roasting s'mores by the campfire. Whether your visiting for vacay or special occasion you'll enjoy the stay. No cable TV service. Smart TV and DVD player available.

Perfect Stay

This little house is exactly as it is described. The most important quality for me is cleanliness, and this home is impeccably clean. Everything you need is there. The kitchen is FULLY stocked with every utensil you could need for cooking, serving and eating. The bed was comfie and here was wood in the fire pit along with the ingredients for S’mores. 10 out 10!!!Owner was VERY accessible and responds quickly to any questions.

Awesome!

We loved the cabin! It was very clean and had everything you could need. The owner was quick to reply to questions and was very helpful. It was very close to the lake for kayaking and hiking. We visited Fat Eddies twice. They had the best ice cream creations! We had a great time!!!

Perfect vacay spot!

This cute cabin is perfect for vacation. It is far enough away from the crowds that it’s peaceful. But it’s close enough to everything to get to all of the fun activities that you wish to do. The place was clean, the owner was very responsive, and the check in process was a breeze. We had a wonderful stay! One of the best parts is hearing all of the woodsy night noises like crickets and frogs. Very relaxing.

Great location and accommodation

My stay at this cabin was great and I really have no complaints. Folks should be prepared for slow internet but other than that small issue everything was as expected or better than expected. Although there are other places close by the environment was happily very quiet. No issues with cleanliness or water pressure or kitchen items - all good.

Absolutely Perfect!!

We had a wonderful time here & it was exactly what we were hoping for. Adorable, super clean & cozy with plenty of space for the 3 of us. The location was easy to get to and offered plenty of privacy. Great communication with owner who was more than patient & cooperative with us when we had to change our dates last minute due to an unexpected event. Highly recommend this property you will not be disappointed!!

Charming Cabin

This was our second year in this cabin. It's perfect for our small family and Grandma. It's location is convenient for access to the lake and river plus close to our main destination.... A family reunion held in Nettie. We really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Getaway

Great location for exploring New River Gorge National Park and spending time at Summersville Lake. We enjoyed our time at the cabin.

So much to do…

A very clean and spacious House! We paddle boarded on Summerville lake and hiked to watch climbers. The next day we mountain biked in Wolf Creek then another hike to watch climbing. Before leaving we stopped at Waterstone gear shop, enjoyed a cup of coffee While shopping. So much to do in this beautiful area. Enjoyed a delicious Lunch at Cathedral Cafe too!

Fantastic place, surprising extras

This place only had a few reviews, so I was a little worried about the quality. I clearly shouldn't have been. From the beginning, it was a great experience. The host was able to let us check in a little early, and even called to make sure we were able to get in ok. He gave us some helpful tips about the area, and seemed to really want to help. Next, when we got in there, the place was spotless, with loads of kitchen supplies, and of course, s'mores material. There is a well stocked wood pile, and even a washer and drier. Our kids loved the twin beds upstairs, the water pressure was good, plenty of hot water, comfortable furniture, and more. The location is also great, depending on what you want to do. Very close to Summersville dam, near the lake, minutes from hiking. We loved this place, and if/when we come back to the area, we will definitely try to book this place again.

Rest and relaxation is an understatement

We enjoyed our stayed at The Toasted Marshmallow. Using it as our homebase for our daily trips, it was in a perfect location as there were so many places to hike, waterfalls to see, a HUGE New River Gorge National Park with the bridge to be marveled by, and much more. Checking out Summersville Lake of which we plan to kayak on our next trip is VERY easy to access not to mention the marina with many rental options. The shoreline cliffs of the lake are a sight to see. Not to be missed is going to the bottom of the Summersville Dam and seeing where the water heads down stream. Then head over to Carnifex Ferry Battlefield State Park and go to the lookout (actually both). Looking for an INCREDIBLE waterfall experience? Head over to Sandstone Falls in Sandstone, West Virginia. Back at the cabin, the fire pit and front porch add to the elements of peace, joy, and happiness. The cabin was furnished with all that you needed. The kitchen is great making it easy to bring your food and pack lunches for the day trips. The hosts were awesome and most helpful. All you really need to do is go to the cabin and simply enjoy as you let your concerns of life just go on hold as you experience a bit of heaven in West Virginia. All I can say is that you better have a camera as there are many things to add to your photo album. So…. what are you waiting for??????
