Amazing place to stay! The driveway up to the cabin could use a little repair- it was rutted and a bit difficult to navigate in a sedan but this didn't detract from enjoying a cozy getaway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We were in the area for our anniversary and did a lot of hiking and site seeing of the bridge. The property was clean, the perfect size for my husband and I, and conveniently located to all the areas we wanted to visit.

The cabin was clean, kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms were very tidy. Super close to New River Gorge. There were a few things that could have been improved on. There were not any blinds in the windows, most windows had curtains, so we used them and used a bath towel on the kitchen window & taped some paper on the window on the front door because the blind was broken. There were not any handles to open the kitchen cabinet doors and drawers, you had to use your fingertips and grab the edges. Maybe put a few knobs on the cabinets and drawers. As noted, the cabin was nicely cleaned, the girl was just finishing up when we arrived and we figured the strong perfume smell was because she was just done, but the scent was so strong the whole 2 days we were there. One of the bedspreads was soaking wet from having been sprayed so much, it wasn't even dry by bedtime. We couldn't use that bedspread the 1st night. No comment on my communication with property mgr. because it was not necessary before or during our stay. My above comments are not complaints, just honest feedback on our perspective as guests regarding privacy, difficulty opening drawers & strong scented sprays. I hope it's useful. The cabin had a classic “ cabin in the woods “ feel. The interior was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The hot tub was appreciated.The location was perfect for our New River Gorge experience. The host was welcoming and informative. It was a wonderful experience!

The cabin was quite inviting and had everything we needed. We loved how peaceful our surroundings were but also how easy it was to get to our other activities. We went whitewater rafting, toured the New River Gorge Bridge area, went to the Beckley Coal mine and even visited Thurmond. Thanks for the restaurant recommendations Paul. I must mention how nice the bedsheets were.

We loved Cabin 6, tucked back in the trees for some quiet and privacy. It's in a great location, quick drive into town and popular hikes. It had all the necessary amenities, just what we needed to catch up with family and get away for the weekend.

A lovely secluded cabin in the woods

We were suprised how secluded this cabin felt while still being close to everything you want to see and do at New River. Check in was super easy and the cabin has everything you need to cook meals, relax, and sleep. The beds are comfortable and the hot tub was clean. We did have a mouse visit our kitchen in the night, but given you are surrounded by nature, that is not suprising, just keep your fruit in the fridge.

If you visit our area and want to stay in a cabin, you have two choices. You can stay at AOTG, ACE Adventure Resort or Rivers. For a deluxe cabin you will pay $250-$500 per night at these resorts. I offer a deluxe cabin with a hot tub and full kitchen for $190-$235 per night. If you are willing to drive 5-6 miles to participate in your outdoor activities, my cabin offers exceptional value with all of the amenities.
