We're Dean And Susan, Proud owners of Pacific Shores B312. We spend several months each year on the island. Kihei has amazing beaches, restaurants, Shops and nightlife than anywhere else in Maui. We have hotel- style amenities a swimming pool, hot tub, BBQ . The condo is just a 3 min. walk to the world famous Charles Young Beach, tide pools there for the kids, Great sunsets and sandy shores for walking and relaxing You can walk a few mins. in either way and find great Restaurants,Bars,Stores.

Pacific Shores, Is just a few minutes to Wailea for high end shopping. 40 min. to Lahaina for the Art scene of Maui, 30 Min. from the airport and busy shopping town of Kahului.

After a busy day on the beach or shopping come back to the condo to relax by the pool or enjoy the hot tub. Then get ready for a good night sleep and do it all again the next day.

AC in master bedroom didn’t work well, cockroaches found, 5 bug traps found, ants all over kitchen, beach umbrellas broken, our assigned parking spot was the furthest away from the building, master bedroom mattress needs replaced.

Great location -repeat visitors

Greta experience dean was awesome to work with. Came back to the island for a 2nd time and chose to stay in same rental. Great location near our favorite beaches.

Great Week in Kihei

Dean was very easy to reach and quick to assist with any of our needs. The power in the complex went out due to a storm the first night and he was very responsive and helpful during that. The location was perfect; very close to the beaches and a short walk to the grocery store and food trucks. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return!

Fantastic host, excellent property in great location!

Dean was a very kind and very attentive host. The property was exactly as described and perfectly adequate for our family of 5 with all kids grown up. Dean had included every item that we could possibly need, making our arrival nice and easy after a long flight. Location is fantastic - perfect to enjoy all that Kihei has to offer, yet very quiet at night. The property is located in a touristy area, but not one that is completely secluded from local life, making the location truly enjoyable with surf, beach and cafés all within easy walking distance. Kihei is also a great base for exploring both sides of the island, and it has a 'vibe' that we preferred to the resorts areas. Would go again in a heartbeat. Thanks Dean!

Excellent place and location

The condo is super nice - a kitchen, living area, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a balcony with view of the ocean and Haleakea. Location is superb as well - nice beach on the other side of the street, yet a very quiet place to relax. Everything was nice, clean and convenient. Communication with the host was excellent too - any questions were answered almost immediately. I highly recommend this place for a family of 4 people.

Kihei Stay

We enjoyed the property. It was clean and manager responded to our questions promptly. Good location, close to many activities, stores and restaurants. Across the street a there is nice beach that is close enough to walk to. Snorkeling near by is good.

This is a lovely condo - very clean and comfortable. Pacific Shores is a great location, close to shops and restaurants. The reason for the 1 star rating was because of our host’s lack of transparency and honesty. On the evening of our arrival we headed to the pool, looking forward to relaxing in the hot tub. The pool area was locked up. Later, we sent a short note to our host thanking him for the lovely welcome basket, and asking about the pool. He replied it should open soon. Imagine our dismay when we talked to locals the next day and found out the pool area had been closed since October! When we contacted the building manager we found out that they had strongly encouraged owners to disclose the status of the pool to potential renters - to avoid this exact situation. Dean denied this was true until we sent screenshots of emails. So unfortunately, during our two week stay we did not have access to pool, hot tub, BBQ’s or pool lounge area. We do realize that things happen, appliances need repair, wifi goes down, etc. and that is understandable. That is a minor inconvenience. In this case, the owner knew about the closure for months and said nothing. We would have appreciated knowing the situation so we could make an informed decision. By the end of our stay (and after several stressful and frustrating emails) we did negotiate a meagre amount of compensation. It did not feel satisfactory, as we would have preferred to enjoy a pool and BBQ on our vacation.

Great place to stay in Kihei.

We were impressed by how clean the rental property was. The owners keep the unit up very well. Towels, toiletries, and NICE beach chairs (4) are provided. A few questions we had upon arrival were immediately answered by the owner. The location is across the street from Charley Young Beach which is at the northern end of Kama'ole I Beach. Snorkeling was very good around the lava point on the right of the beach. We recommend this property and would rent it again if visiting Maui.

Great location in Kihei

The unit was clean, quiet, comfortable and had all the amenities we were looking for. The property was great as well with a nice pool and BBQ area. Dean was a great host - super responsive to any questions we had and provided helpful information for the area. The location was even better than we hoped - only minutes to the beach, and walking distance to everything we needed. Everyone staying at Pacific Shores super-friendly - we met a lot of people during our stay! Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic cozy place, great location

We really enjoyed this unit. It was the perfect size for 2 couples. I really appreciated that there were some “extra” amenities; like spices and olive oil in the kitchen and 2 different size coolers, beach chairs and a wagon. (Which we didn’t use) Dean even sent us a welcome bag with local goodies inside which was a lovely surprise. The proximity to Charley Young beach was perfect. The pool area was very chill. The only issue we had was that one of the burners on the stove stopped working, which we just worked around. When I let Dean know he responded right away. I’d absolutely stay here again!!

Nice property, parking was tight.

Very convenient location to the busy streets going in and out of Kihei. And being right across the shoreline, you don't have to pack up the car to go to a beach, just walk across the street and you're on one of the most beautiful beaches on Maui. Kamaole I is great for swimming, whale & sunset watching and the scenery of other islands and the westside mountains is breathless.

Loved the location.

Great experience overall. The owner of the property was extremely helpful prompt To answer questions. The unit fit our family spacious and well maintained. Balcony with drying rack a bonus! We used the outside grill area in the pool to cook supper a few nights easy to use. I would say the unit itself is kid friendly but the building /property was not. The main tenants who I assume live there full time we’re not friendly toward my kids they were open and loud about how loud/playful they were at the pool. The “night watch guard” was completely overkill and yelled at every kid there. Didn’t realize that there was no “horseplay” or “Marco polo” at the pool to name a few. Excessive pool rules…luckily the weather was great and only used the pool while I was grilling but the overall vibe was kids not welcome. My kids are well behaved but it’s a pool and kids don’t just stand in it and visit… would book again as a couple but not family
