All Sugar Beach Resort Maui condos feature a private lanai, a fully-equipped kitchen, free WiFi, a washer/dryer, and all the resort amenities you’d expect from the best hotels.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). The view was spectacular and it was well stocked. Wish they had cleaned the deck and living room carpet. Good response to a couple things. Would rent it again.

Sugar Beach

It was a wonderful stay! We love the resort. We wish the water wasn't so choppy and brown but we normally head out to south Kihei for a day at the beach. The condo was lovely! And the little welcome package was wonderful. We will be back!

Reasonable waterfront with all the amenities

This VRBO is what I expected. It’s an older building. Beautiful beach. They do respond quickly if anything goes wrong. Staff in office to make sure you are not alone to get settled in etc.

Sugar Beach Resort Unit 511

For our stay in Maui this was the perfect place for us. Travelled with another couple and the condo was perfectly set up for us with 2 separate bedrooms and bathrooms with plenty of kitchen and living room space. The amenities, although dated, were comfortable. The Lanai overlooks the ocean and pool. The condo is centrally located close to many attractions and activities. Kihei, Lahaina and Kahului are all close and are easy to get too, although traffic can be a bit daunting at times. However there were some drawbacks, the condo is a bit dated and could use an upgrade. There were a couple of plumbing issues during our stay, however the Vacasa team was quick to respond to our concerns and had the repairs done quickly, without any interruption to our trip. Would definitely stay here again

The property itself was in a great location. No problems getting in and for the most part it was clean. However, I was disappointed because we found some boobie stickers on the wall in the bathroom from the previous guests, the vent was disgusting, months of build up, and when we hung up our towels on the shower curtain pole it was really dusty and it too was months worth of dust. All these things were really gross and required me to clean them.

The condo has a great view from the huge lanai. Two separate bedrooms are comfortable and perfect for two couples or families. The AC works great inside! The beach right downstairs is great

Wonderful place!

What a great place! Loved the 2br/2ba. The view was incredible. The double lanai was so great. Kitchen was super well stocked. I would recommend arriving and checking out what they have before you do your grocery shop. There were some spices there already. It didn’t have filtered water or ice maker - but does have ice trays. Beds were comfy. Doors to bedrooms and secondary door to bathroom and another to toilet. Tons of opportunities for Privacy for two couples or older kids. Beach and pool are beautiful. Loved it and would recommend.

Good value unit, not kid friendly property

Sugar Beach Resort unit 511 is a lovely unit. It is wonderfully situated on the property with both a view of the pool, the beach and the ocean. It really is lovely, the furniture was okay but comfortable. SBR itself is a bit tired, very outdated but has what you need. There is a simple pool area with views of the ocean, pretty gardens and a grill area where folks congregate in the evenings sharing stories of the day. It is a great value for Maui as it is all beachfront and the beach area is lovely. There are not walkable food places in this area so you will end up driving to town for everything. The flipside of that is that sugar beach is definitely away from the crowds which is nice. The property itself is not a kid friendly property. It really is more for older visitors in that regard. You cannot have playtoys in the pool or even toss a ball in the pool nor on the grass area which is just begging for it. Simple game of catch and my son was told that wasn't allowed. So there is a tone to this property that I haven't experienced in other places we have stayed in Maui (and we come here frequently). For the value this is a great option, just has some elements there that made it kind of a boring place to stay for the kids. I recommend it but feel it is important for families to be aware since you cannot read much about the vibe of the property.

Condo could use a little updating. I am thinking at least one bathroom should have a walk-in shower for us old people with some concerns for stepping in and out of bathtubs. LR furniture could benefit form upgrade.

Great spot for beautiful time with family

This was a great unit for our family to spend a week together. Communication and check in n and out was a breeze. It couldn’t have been any easier.The condo itself was nicely laid out. It could use some updated living room furniture, and the washer and dryer are pretty small and older. The views were spectacular the kitchen functioned well and we had a great time. Thank you!

Fantastic view and property

The 4 of us were very impressed with this unit❤️. It had all the appliances and kitchen supplies that we needed. The toilet shower rooms were not terrible but could use updating. The wall separating the 2 bedrooms provides needed privacy. Would definitely rent again Vickie…Corvallis OR

Great View

Perfect place for two couples with two separate bathrooms. Lots of room to hang out. We had 2 twin infants with us, so we spent more time in the unit than we probably would have. Great beach for walking, running. Loved the view, the lanai. We saw outriggers going by each day! We used the AC every day. A little tricky to figure out with the 2 competing AC units. A couple of the living chairs were very uncomfortable. One seemed broken. Liked the pool. A bit cold. Great hot tub!

Thanksgiving 2022

When we first walked in, there was an empty candy wrapper on the living room floor. The bathroom floor still had dirt and hairs on it from previous people. The TV quit working. The next day they brought in a loaner. It was small and hard to see. The electricity went out, twice, one day for an extended amount of time. The unit has plenty of room to spread out, just needs updating and could be cleaner.

Nice place

Kitchen had everything you would need. There is only one small TV in the front room. Beds are not that comfortable. Place was clean ! We had 4 teenagers and plenty of space to have your own space.

Great Views and Location

We had a great stay at this unit. We loved the double lanai, and the view from the living room window. The unit was very spacious for our family, and the pool and hot tub were great to relax in at the end of the day. It was a bit windy in the afternoons and evenings when we were here in June. The location is a great in-between for access to Kehei and Lahaina.
