Not so phenomenal

The house is on a busy road and as people who live on a dirt road in the woods, the traffic during the day was noticeable. It was fairly quiet at night, though. The renovated bathrooms and kitchen were nice, the beds reasonably comfortable, and the owner was very responsive when small issues arose, but I don't think my family will return to this rental. The furnishings were not that comfortable. For example, there were 4 chairs on the deck, but no table to sit at for a meal. I spoke to the owner about this who explained that previous renters had broken the table, but it would have been nice to have known why there was no table or even better to have a temporary replacement to use while the table was being repaired. Luckily for us, we had a small portable beach table with us that we were able to use to enjoy meals al fresco. One plus was the proximity to excellent mountain biking trails. That was a highlight.

Relative to dining al fresco - I never advertised or showed photos of a dining table on our peaceful & large deck. The immediate previous renters had broken my glass patio table, and, given Covid shortages, I could not secure a replacement before Mara's arrival. The deck now has a full dining table & extra chairs. She only raised the road and al fresco patio dining table concerns after she departed. She admitted that the house, with its updated furnishings, and newly landscaped yard were much better than the listing photos. We take all guests' input and feedback seriously, and continually improve the whole property.
