We have stayed at Kona Islander at least a dozen times, all different units. This was one of the best I think due to a few factors. First is the King bed, none of the other units had a bigger bed than a Queen. Also the shower is a bit bigger than most being tiled instead of a fiberglass molded one. It was nice decorated, had everything we needed, and it was very clean. Owner was quickly responsive and lady in lobby was very pleasant. I’d highly recommend staying here. Be advised the parking can be a problem but if you are back by 4pm you can find a spot.

Liked: Location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in
Excellent condition, not the best service
Location is great, and we appreciated amenities like the hot tub, hairdryer, beach chairs, coffee, etc. However, the sofa bed was dirty with sand and coins scattered as we opened it. Also, the only sink is in the kitchen which was odd to brush your teeth where you also have to wash dishes. And we had no information on how to check in so that was not the most pleasant experience. Lastly, parking was a challenge as the lot was also full. People were quite aggressive about holding spots and we had to drive around to find street parking.
The unit is newly remodeled and super clean. Located within easy walking distance to many food options. And steps from the ocean. Walk to the sea wall to catch the beautiful Kona sunsets. Bed is super comfy and air gets ice cold after a warm day on the island. Really can’t ask for anything more from a rental. It’s five stars for sure!

We are very happy that you both enjoyed our place and it sounds like you had an amazing fabulous time in Kona! It was a pleasure hosting both of you! We would love to host you again on your next visit to the Big Island. We send much Aloha to you both. Mahalo Nui, Lori
We couldn’t be happier with our stay at this beautifully renovated condo! The owner was very responsive, and helpful when we needed to move the original reservation. Nice furnishings, spotless, and great location within the condo (quiet and close to the lobby and parking lot). Shops and restaurants are just a short stroll away. The beach gear and extendable drying rack for swimsuits/towel came in handy. Highly recommend and would stay here again!
