Proudly Owner Operated! No management companies, no cleaning crews.....WE are it!
In order to offer our guests the best experience possible with the highest standards, we personally clean and prepare our property, we coordinate bookings and we communicate with guests. Should you need anything or have any questions, during your stay, we will take the call and personally respond to any guest needs. We are extremely proud to be able to do this.
Enjoy a safari style tent on your own private deck overlooking the water located in a private wooded property. Rinse off under the a-frame shower with lukewarm water(in season**). The porta-potty is emptied weekly and sanitized before each guest. You won’t have to dig holes but you are camping after all!! **Please note that if you are staying with us during the colder months (November - April), there is NO RUNNING WATER! This means the shower and sink are turned off. You will need to bring in water daily as it freezes if any is left at the site!
Cook a meal on a propane grill. You are welcomed to bring aluminum trays to have more flexibility cooking on the grill! Charge your phones or laptops should you need to do a little work under the canopy of the trees! (Yes! There is an outlet for small devices!!!) Finally, relax under the stars on a queen sized bed with memory foam mattress in your screened in tent as the tree frogs lull you to sleep and the fireflies wow your senses with their magical glow!
Feel like exploring? Take a short walk through the beautiful neighborhood to see the magnificent sunsets over the farm. We are located in a great little neighborhood so you never have to go trekking too far into nature and be totally secluded. Yet, you enjoy the half acre waterfront property all to yourself! Plenty of longer trails are easily accessible just a short drive away!
If something a little bit further from nature tickles your fancy, jump in your car for a quick ride to Uptown Kingston or Saugerties where you’ll find plenty of great restaurants and shops to visit during your stay. Either way, you're sure to enjoy!
End your day with a nice fire under the stars! You have two comfy Adirondack chairs with warming pads and an enclosed fire pit for your use!! Be sure to bring enough wood as you’ll want to linger around the fire just a little while longer!!
Hey there, nature lovers! As you explore the beautiful Hudson Valley, just a quick heads-up: thanks to our ever-warming planet (thanks, global warming), ticks and poison ivy are having a bit of a moment out here. No need to worry—just stick to trails, wear closed-toe shoes, and do a quick tick check after your adventures. Mother Nature is still magical, just with a few extra sidekicks these days!
During the colder months, enjoy a small heater that will warm up the tent to a toasty temperature perfect for sleeping! However, please note that when the temperatures outside are extremely cold, the heater will not heat the tent as much. It is a canvas tent after all and heat won't stay as much. We provide you with ample layers of warm comforters and blankets! We do recommend you bring layers of warm clothing and slippers to use during your stay! Sweet dreams are sure to follow!
This site is located waterfront on the Esopus Creek. There is a freight train that comes through on the other side of the creek from time to time. If you are sensitive to noise, this may not work for you. Most guests comment that it is more like white noise if and when it does come through.
****If you’re staying with us in the months of November-April, please note that there will NOT be any running water available. As the weather drops, we must shut off the water to protect the plumbing. You will need to bring in your own water as any water that is left at the site will only freeze. We provide you with body wipes but they also tend to freeze. Water is turned back on when temps stay above 40 degrees to ensure that pipes and fixtures do not freeze.****
***Please note our Strict Cancellation Policy. We strongly recommend that you purchase trip insurance for your reservation!! There are many companies out there that will give you different options at affordable prices! Please do your research. Unfortunately, we do NOT allow date changes due to weather. This is an outdoor experience...come sun, rain or snow. If you read through our reviews, you will find that all weather experiences are magical!
For cold Weather Campers......Staying at Hudson Cove in winter months has proven to be an absolutely magical experience for hundreds of our guests. However, it does require a little extra planning and an understanding of winter in the Hudson Valley. Between November and April, the weather can have its extremes and does not allow for running water as the pipes will freeze and crack. Unfortunately, even leaving bottled water often just ends up being blocks of ice and not useable for our guests. We simply ask guests to bring in water during their stay to ensure a safe useable water source. We also ask guests to bring proper clothes. The tent does reach comfortable temperatures, however, extreme cold snaps can make it necessary to bundle up and cuddle with your main squeeze. If you are open to a little adventure and a little planning, come and enjoy our little oasis! If you are looking for high end amenities with hot showers and instant heat on demand, this is probably not for you and we suggest trying our outdoor experiences in warmer months.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.
