Cottage on Clarks Creek

The Cottage on Clarks Creek welcomes you. Jyoti and Michael’s newly built, secluded abode is nestled in the woods just steps away from an immaculate watershed creek. The lodge consists of 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath with not only a shower but separate jacuzzi tub, plus another ½ bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with all the appliances.

On the property, for your use, is a creekside, fully screened in, (not kid friendly) meditation room that is suspended right above the flowing water. The perfect spot to relax, have a meal or morning coffee. Mountain water flows through the creek making it pristine for fishing, rock stacking or floating. The Appalachian trail and Fly Fishing areas are around 1 mile from the property.

Between your getaway and the creek lives two fireplaces, one large stone fireplace with built-in seating, and the other is a smaller creekside fireplace.

Jyoti and Michael created a quiet, zen space intended for a romantic and relaxing getaway, we live next to the cottage. We will respect your privacy. If you are looking to party this is not the place for you.

Hershey Park is 28 miles and 35 minutes drive from the cottage..

Amazing place to stay! We came to the area for a wedding, but never wanted to leave this awesome home. The hosts are truly wonderful people and couldn't have been nicer. This property has everything you'll ever want or need. Wish we were still there!

Perfectly designed getaway with style. They’ve thought of everything, including very nice outdoor areas. We were close to nature but easily got to Harrisburg and Hershey. They are very friendly and eager to make guests at home…including giving us space. We both loved it!

This property is an absolutely serene oasis! I loved spending time in the hand crafted meditation room, we even camped out there one night with the sound of a beautiful creek running by. Amazing! Only 30min from Hershey and so many other tourist locations in PA.The hosts go above and beyond the booking! They even provide a 5 page document sharing many local must do's including dining options, family activities and even some great hiking spots! We will visit again in the future.

The cottage and surroundings are lovely and very peaceful. It's one of the best places I've stayed in my long life and was exactly what my family needed, with one of us having extreme noise sensitivity.The only caveat is that the owner told me a few weeks before the trip that the cottage was no longer available and asked me to cancel the reservation. I was devastated because nowhere else was available so close to the travel date that would meet my family's needs. I read about VRBO cancellations on Reddit and found that some owners try to get guests to cancel for shady reasons, and I followed the advice to decline to cancel and require the owner to do so, after which the owner told me he was able to make the dates work after all, to my great relief.

Zen Vacation

The property was amazing, the meditation room was our 16 year olds private oasis. We drove the hour to Gettysburg and relaxed by the river everynight of our stay. Thank you for the perfect family vacation.

An amazing and calming experience

This was a beautiful property with an incredible serene surrounding. We were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the beds were and my teen and his friends had a wonderful time playing hide and go seek around the house and into the woods. We loved sitting in the meditation hut and spent an entire thunderstorm there. We would definitely love to return!

Peaceful Getaway

The Cottage on Clarks Creek is an amazing place to stay. If you love the quietness of the country and listening to Peeper frogs at night, this is the place for you! Michael was a great host. He takes care of the cottage and the grounds around it to make it a beautiful and peaceful getaway.

This is an amazing retreat just far enough from Harrisburg and Hershey to be peaceful and relaxing but with lots of fun activities within reach. Michael was a gracious and very responsive host, the home was spotless, and everything was well explained. Beautiful art, comfy beds, and fresh flowers made it just perfect. I would happily stay again!

Beautiful and peaceful

I thoroughly loved my stay! The cottage was like a home away from home. Didn't even need to bring shampoo or body wash! Quiet, peaceful, and was exactly what I needed!! Definitely would recommend to anyone who wants to get off the grid and unplug. Thank you so much Michael and Jtoyi!

A Piece of Heaven!!

Truly a little piece of Heaven..we meet up with very good Friends every year and Dauphin, Pa. is the half point for both. I came upon this little gem last year and immediately booked it and I am so glad I did. Michael & Jyoti were our hosts and I can't praise them enough for everything they have done and are. Both are so personable and easy to talk with and if you had any issues or concerns they got back to you with a solution, the sky is the limit with their hospitality! The cottage is beautiful lots of space and equipped with everything you need. Very clean, organized just felt like home.There are two campfire spots to utilize if you so choose wood/fire starters are available to you we enjoyed the one on the side of the cottage every night. It was a very nice and cozy place to relax enjoy company and reminisce of our adventures. There are so many things to do around there and not far from the cottage, hiking, safari tour, boating, fishing....etc. the list is endless. Believe me you will sleep soundly at the end of the day, Now we get to the Pride & Joy of the place "The Meditation Room" This room was by so far my favorite place besides the campfires we had. It sits behind Michael"s & Jyoti's home there is a patch (steps) to take and the peace begins. There is a futon, chairs, hanging hammock chairs, screened in room and all of this is over a stream. Just so peaceful to sit unwind and listen to the water and birds. I highly recommend staying here you will not regret it.

Great Harrisburg Vrbo experience

This two bed / two bath home is really well done. Everything has recently been renovated, the kitchen is perfectly stocked, wifi is great and its very comfortable. (Michael and Jyoti were great communicators as well.) The home is about 20 minutes from Harrisburg which was very convenient. We recommend Boro Bar and Grill on Front street for a great view of the river at sunset and some local craft beer.

This property is perfect for a romantic getaway, or girls weekend. We can not promise but we may be able to arrange a massage or facial. Jyoti Is from India and cooks delicious Indian meals, or Mediterranean, although we are vegetarian and Pescatarian (fish eater) so we do not cook meat. Please contact us prior to your arrival if you are interested to learn about meals. Of course this depends on our availability,
