The Roosevelt, situated on the edge of Ouachita National Forest, is perfect for couples looking for a romantic getaway in nature. This brand new cabin is a spacious one bedroom with all the comforts of home named after the founder of the national park system, Theodore Roosevelt.

This secluded cabin features a king bedroom with an Original Tuft & Needle Mattress, a luxurious bathroom with large walk-in shower and soaking tub with a completely private view of the forest. The cabinet in the living room opens into a queen sized bed, just right if you’ve brought the kids along. You won’t miss a thing whipping up a meal in the fully stocked kitchen. Have a cup of coffee on the front deck listening to all nature has to offer!

Enjoy an evening in front of the gas fireplace in the living room or soaking in the hot tub located on the deck right off the bedroom! You’ll have plenty of space to enjoy a meal or work a jigsaw puzzle at the beautiful wood and resin dining table. There is also extra seating at the island in the kitchen.

The back deck not only boosts quiet views of the National Forest, but a dining area, gas grill, outdoor lounge and gas fireplace. Steps off the back deck you’ll find a firepit for enjoying s'mores or stargazing.

The Roosevelt is conveniently located off of Carson Creek Road near Beaver’s Bend State Park. Just down Carson Creek Road you will find beautiful Broken Bow Lake with a swimming/picnic area and a boat ramp.

Excellent experience staying at The Roosevelt cabin.

The Roosevelt was in pristine condition, in a great location, back deck was terrific, the cabin was just as described. The management company ensured we had a wonderful experience.

Beautiful Cabin

There was firewood, the cabin was cozy, the kitchen was well-stocked and large enough to cook in, and it was very relaxing. We love this location- being so close to hiking trails and not in a crowded "neighborhood" helped us feel like we were getting away from it all. Booking was easy, and we will likely return.

Great Escape

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I needed a quick and easy escape from our hectic ranch life in Hallettsville, TX. We searched for luxury cabins near us and Lakewood Cabins came up. We never heard of Broken Bow, nor would we have thought to vacation in Oklahoma. Since we wanted to skip the hassle of airport travel we decided to book with Lakewood. The cabin was beautiful, luxurious, and better than the photos. The Roosevelt was nestled in the trees away from the other cabins. We enjoyed the quiet solitude, deck, hot tub, games, and even the rain during the evening. We also enjoyed hiking, horseback riding, and shopping during the day. We didn’t know Broken Bow and Lakewood Cabins would be such a great escape! We do now and so do all our friends and family!

The Roosevelt is perfect for a couples getaway or for a small family. It's secluded and actually shares it's back yard with the National Forest Service. So, you can hike the beautiful woods directly behind the cabin. And, Broken Bow Lake is just about 1/2 mile from the cabin.
