PERFECTION
This little piece of heaven was absolutely wonderful. From the minute we walked in the door - when music started playing from the TV!! - to the minute we left - everything was perfect. Diana was a dream to communicate with and made sure we had all the information we needed prior to our stay. Not one detail was left untouched in this property! I've stayed in several VRBOs and this was by far the absolute best. Also the cleanest - everything was SPOTLESS. We will definitely be back!!!

This cabin is so beautiful, words would never give it the justice it deserves. The area its located in is very beautiful, wooded, quiet, and overall magnificent. I have stayed at several cabins and this one definitely ranks the top if not the best. My wife and I were able to enjoy our lovely weekend with each other. The hosts have definitely been extremely supportive, which makes this cabin worth every penny. - Chris T.

THE SPACE:

When you open the door to our professionally designed cabin, your spirit is calmed. The soothing color palette and cozy furnishings will make you want to stay indefinitely. Enjoy the diffused lighting and the backdrop of huge pines behind the cabin through the wall of windows as you enter off the covered front porch, level to the ground with no steps from the circular gravel driveway. Roads are paved all the way to the cabin, so feel free to bring your sportiest ride!

Inside, there’s a large living area with Pottery Barn designer furnishings, an open, modern kitchen and seating at the farmhouse table in the designated dining area. Just past the main area, you’ll love the bedroom (it’s a stunner), separate from the living area by a door - this is not just a one room studio. The bedroom has a King bed with luxury linens and high end memory foam mattress and French doors to the back deck/hot tub. There’s a separate door to the large, spa-like bathroom, complete with oversized tub, two person shower, his and hers fluffy spa robes, a separate toilet closet, Beekman 1802 soap, shampoo, and lotion, fluffy white spa towels, make up towels and wipes, and an eye mask for the sensitive sleeper.

Once you get settled in, you’ll find so many options. Relax on our Pottery Barn sofa and listen to one of our vinyl albums on our throw-back record player (or connect the Bluetooth to your own playlist), or curl up in one of our comfy chairs with a fuzzy blanket and one of our books. You could challenge your loved one with one of our many games, make a meal together in our chef’s kitchen, take the world’s longest soak in our spa tub, or nap in what’s been repeatedly called ā€œthe most comfortable mattress we have ever slept onā€ by our guests.

We didn’t forget about the exterior! The front porch offers oversized egg-chairs for people watching or enjoying your morning coffee. And the back porch... so many options. It’s the best seat in the house for the ā€œshowā€ each evening... the sunsets are a must-see from the back deck. Don’t be surprised if deer come by for a visit... it’s a common occurrence. Relax in the hot tub, watch TV by the outdoor fireplace (seasonal) in the outdoor seating, grill your favorite dish on our propane grill (propane and grill utensils are provided), take a selfie with our new fun wall mural, challenge your partner to a game of corn hole or ladder golf, enjoy the string lights and fire pit when the sun goes down (when drought conditions aren’t present), and don’t forget s’mores around the fire, under the most gorgeous starry sky you’ve ever seen. We are on an oversized 1.3 acre corner lot, with lots of room to spread out and relax.

Also, and most importantly, you will receive 5-star service from beginning to end. We truly want every guest to have the best possible experience, whether this is your first visit to Broken Bow or if you come on a regular basis. We offer assistance with just about everything from recommendations and suggestions on where to go and what to do while in town, to helping plan for important events and helping to coordinate delivery of flowers, cakes, groceries, firewood, etc. Our approach is to treat guests even better than we would ever expect and to provide fun surprises along the way. You’ll have the owner’s contact information from day one, and if you have any questions with anything about our property, the area, or the best steak in town… just ask!

Joy in the Morning is a special haven for those looking for rest, relaxation, reconnection, recreation or restoration - or a little bit of everything. Guests rave that we ā€œhave thought of everythingā€ and ā€œwe can’t wait to come back!ā€

We are located in one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in Hochatown (Broken Bow), just 5-10 minutes from restaurants, shopping, wineries and breweries, many beautiful trails and scenic strolling spots, Beavers Bend State Park and Broken Bow lake.

* All groceries – don’t forget s’mores and condiments
* Swimsuit, goggles, beach chairs, beach toys, cooler, beach bag
* Travel cups/tupperware for lake
* Phone chargers (we do offer a charging station, however some guests prefer individual chargers in their bedrooms as well)
* Plastic bags for wet clothes
* Ziplock bags for phones for when you are on the lake
* Beach umbrella/tent/canopy if needed
* Back-up plan for rain days.Ā  We get a lot of pop-up showers or storms so you may want an umbrella, tennis shoes, or favorite game (though we have several!)
* Water shoes, hiking shoes/boots, and if raining, rain boots
* Duraflame logs if you think you’ll need fire-making help

* Note: Like most cabins in the area, our cabin has security cameras at the front and back entrance. They are for protection of our property and are to ensure our no-pet and no-party policies are being adhered to. They point solely at the entrances and are not regularly monitored during your stay.

*Decor is subject to change for cleanliness, maintenance or safety reasons.

*Ours is a small town with rural utilities. At times, you may see discoloration from the trace minerals (iron, manganese, etc.) in the water supply coming into the cabin. This can be an area-wide occurrence and the Broken Bow Water Department assures us, when happening, that the water is safe. This is not uncommon in small towns but is different than what we are used to in larger cities/towns. Two recommendations are to NOT WASH ANYTHING LIGHT COLORED in the washer and that some guests prefer bottled water over filtered water from the fridge. The spa will be clean but you may see a ring develop around the waterline from the minerals.

*Ours is a NO SMOKING, PET FREE cabin. No exceptions. For the comfort of all guests, please choose a different cabin if either of these are imperative to your stay.

We STRONGLY recommend purchasing the Travel Protection Plan through VRBO. With the constant uncertainty surrounding the travel industry, it’s a small price to pay to protect the costs of your trip should you or someone in your party become unable to travel. We adhere to our cancellation policies outlined here and in our rental agreement.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Host profile image
We first discovered Broken Bow in 2010 and rediscovered it during the pandemic in 2020. After staying in many cabins and enjoying many experiences in our amazing town and on the beautiful Broken Bow lake, we pursued cabin ownership and never looked back. After trying management companies, we realized that when we travel, we prefer a more personal experience and we now run our two 1-bedroom cabins ourselves. You’ll receive our contact info from day one and you’ll experience the kind of hospitality we would want - available, helpful and friendly, while enjoying an immaculate, gorgeous space, curated for relaxation and lifelong memories. Your experience is our priority. We love sharing these beautiful cabins with so many amazing guests and hope to host in the Broken Bow/Hochatown area for many years.

Why they chose this property

Eagle Mountain is one of the most sought out locations in all of Hochatown/Broken Bow because of its convenience to the lake, the state park, and to the best restaurants and activities.

What makes this property unique

We are on a large 1.3 acre lot with the majority of the space in the back. The back deck and fire pit area overlook a large, wooded space and the privacy and towering pines are perfect for a couples retreat.
