Perfect Spot - Lakefront property on Lake Douglas with new hot tub!

Beautiful and peaceful lakefront house with a private dock on Lake Douglas, only 25 minutes from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The house is a 4 bedroom home plus a game room with additional sleeping. There are a total of 8 beds in the house with sleeping for up to 10. The upstairs has a spacious master bedroom with a queen and a full bathroom. The second bedroom comes with a queen, and the 3rd bedroom has a full and a twin bed. There is a new full bathroom in between these two bedrooms. The kitchen, dining, and living room are combo rooms on the main level. The downstairs has been completely remodeled over the winter. There is a new game room, a new theater room with recliners, and a new 50-inch HD TV. This room houses a day bed with a trundle that sleeps two, and also new bunks beds with a twin and full mattress. This is a perfect setup for the kids or a second family! The game room has a ping pong table, poker table, and refrigerator. Both decks have gates so no little ones can escape. We've built a new walkway to the water, complete with a platform at the lake for relaxing that steps down to the lake and a floating dock. There is a landing about 5 miles from the house by car if you want to bring a boat. H2O rentals are only about 1/2 mile up the road for anyone who wants to rent boats or jet skis. Dandridge is the closest town and it is about a 10-minute drive with restaurants and a grocery store. This lake is dam controlled so you have water from May-late September. Water begins to recede in the fall and with no water in the cove through the winter months.

There is plenty to do in Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg year-round. World-class shopping and restaurants. Dollywood offers an awesome light show for Halloween and Christmas. And Gatlinburg is world-renowned for its Christmas light display.

Great spot on the lake to take your boat and enjoy some family time water skiing , tubing and floating in the water. Very nice lake and not crowded. The host of the property was very attentive and responsive to any questions and needs we had. We will be back for another visit.

“Perfect”

The “Perfect Spot” suits the place well. My family and I enjoyed our stay, the house had a lot of space, great location on the lake and we were able to meet the owners and they were extremely friendly. Looking forward to coming back again in the future.

Very clean. Amenities exactly as advertised. Good mix of sleeping arrangements. Swimming dock in a quiet cove. Boat and jet ski rentals right next door. Restaurants a short drive away. Enough activities to keep three teenagers occupied.Will probably come back.

There is definitely a dripping noise that is constant that you can hear in the master bedroom. Probably needs to get looked at. Probably needs to look into getting a new stove. We pretty much had to turn it almost to high to get something to heat up.

I was able to get the stove to bake and broil, and all 4 burners worked on low, medium and high. Not sure what happened. Weird. The shower head dripped for about 30 seconds and then quit. Tightened it up. Glad we were able to accommodate you checking in early. Thx for the review.

Lake Trip

We loved this property in Douglas Lake. It was so comfortable and was a great size for 4 couples. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the fact we were able to bring our boat and dock it right at the property. The location was great! We were close to the cute town of Dandridge and many restaurants. The owners of the property were also very nice and helpful.

Great stay and property

We greatly enjoyed our stay! The home was very accommodating, clean and the neighborhood was welcoming. The property was well-equipped with beach chairs to use on the dock, basic sundries in the kitchen, bathrooms and laundry room. We would definitely choose this location again the next time our timeshare here isn't available!

Nice and Cozy

This was a great cabin and a perfect location. Easy to find. It did advertise a lake, but it was all dried up, which didn't matter to us. I recommend this place to anyone.

Had fun, rented a pontoon boat, went golfing, burnt wood in the fire pit, swam off the docks, grilled, fixed dinner in the kitchen and walked around talking to the neighbors.

Loving lake living

Fantastic location - right on the lake, with a dock to swim off of and tie-up the pontoon. We had lots of room for our 3 families (with kids of all ranges), enjoyed the hot tub plus the game room was a big hit at night for cards and ping-pong. Big thanks to Hugh - easy check-in, helped us with quick answers and had all the extras provided. LOVE LOVE this place!

Lake Vacation

Our stay at this beautiful property was wonderful. The location was perfect for access to water. We swam off the dock most days as well as enjoyed the hot tub. There are steps to get down to the water and then into the water but they were easily navigable. The water was deep enough for the kids the have fun diving and jumping from the dock. The house was very clean. The kitchen was adequately stocked. The beds were comfortable. The teenagers we had along loved the basement area. It quickly became their oasis. There was a boat rental location three minutes away where we rented a boat for the day. The landscaping needs worked on but in this area you can tell it is difficult to maintain. That’s just being very picky! I would definitely come to this location again.

We love the proximity to just about everything: lake fishing, boating, great restaurants, water parks, theme parks, everything you want for a short or long vacation. Come stay with us. You will not be disappointed!!

Why they chose this property

We bought this property in 2021 after having a record year with our house in Asheville NC. We love the Dandridge area and wanted a lake home to come to visit. This gives you the peace and quiet of the lake with Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, and Gatlinburg within an easy 30-minute drive, all close enough for day trips. Bring your fishing poles (check state and local laws), kayaks and canoes, or jet skis and boats. Lots of antique car shows every year, as well as multiple bass tournaments. Come visit Dollywood, or do your Christmas shopping at the many outlets. Don't miss the world-renowned Christmas lights show from Thanksgiving through Jan 1. Relaxation is the key to any good vacation. This place has plenty of that!
