Great stay in Hilo

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed here a number of times and love sitting at the table on the porch watching the surfers and cruise ships go by! I have to say that the unit could use comfortable seating in the living area and a decent TV. Also need hooks to hang wet towels from the shower. Fruit was great in the morning and eggs but Costco muffins get old. That being said, we will return!!

This place was wonderful, peaceful, and beautiful! Of note when booking this place, you are in the middle of the jungle. Be prepared that you may see the occasional bug or gecko in the place and you hear all the coqui frogs at night. If that doesn't bother you like it didnt us, this is a great place!

But most guests feel that the price is great for a direct ocean front accommodation with a pool and free breakfast here in Hawai'i ;-) We're glad that our services made a good impression!! Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Complimentary breakfast was nice touch. Would probably stay again just for the view.

Great location and beautiful view!

Steep drive and tight parking was a bit of a challenge but otherwise place worked really well for us.

Lovely little location with amazing views. Only downside was the detergent that's used is extremely fragrant so the whole apartment smelled very strongly of it. Other than that we absolutely loved our stay.

Perfect home base for our travels

Beautiful sunrise views, enough amenities to feel comfortable, and great access to that part of the island. The breakfast items were incredibly helpful! We would stay here again when back in Hilo!

Fantastic view from the lanai and fun to watch the nearby surfers. Loved hearing the coqui (frogs) at night. No A/C but does cool off a bit at night if you open all the windows. Since this place is a couple miles from town it was great to have the provided, daily breakfast (fresh fruit, yogurt, muffins, hard boiled eggs).

Perfect Hilo Area Spot

Just a quick drive North of Hilo. Wonderful views of the surfing on Honoli'i Beach. Clean, comfortable, great pool with views. Everything you need. Great jumping off point for Hilo, the Hamakua Coast, the Volcanoes area, etc. Highly recommend!

Amazing spot!

Ignore the bad review, this was amazing! Beautiful sunrise and surfing views and very secluded. We loved every second here! also the muffins are bangin!

Great week long stay on the Big Island!

We chose to spend our entire week with Pele at Hale Kai as our center of operations; couldn’t have been more pleased. Comfortable accommodations, great breakfasts provided, easy access to everything in Hilo, and a fantastic setting. Would do it again without hesitation.

Short stay in a beautiful location

The views were gorgeous, loved sunrise and watching the surfers from our deck. The property was a little dated but that’s what I expected, so no surprise. Quite a bargain for the location and views and breakfast included.
