Shipyard Plantation holiday lettings

First impressions were that the house was even nicer than in the pictures and seemed bigger. It was also lovely and clean. We stayed there with our 3 teenage children who appreciated the good WiFi! The house is in a beautiful location and we loved watching the wildlife (including a gator) from the great screened back porch. Kids (and adults) also enjoyed the pool. Although there were lots of magazines/leaflets about the local area, one thing that would be helpful for visitors not familiar with Hilton Head would be some specific local information - eg the quickest way to get to the nearest beach. It took us a few days to realise that we could cycle to the beach near Shipyard Beach Club in about 10 mins (via pathway at end of Kingston Dunes). Prior to that we were cycling the long way round which took more than twice as long. Just a small point really. This really is a fantastic place to stay and Hilton Head is gorgeous.
