About Jon

Front of rental from the lake

Jon purchased this house in 2004

Why Jon chose Moran

I love the area and so do my grandchildren, I built this first and lived in it while I built a house next door.

What makes this house unique

All outdoor activities, we are at the end of a private road so there is virtually no traffic, and my grandkids can play without worring about them. We adjoin the Hiawatha national forest. I love the quietness and solitude!

It was secluded and peaceful! With the deck being so high up, the views is amazing!

  • 5 of 5

We only had two nights here, but I would love to stay longer! The beach is nice and sandy, the water is clear and beautiful! Even though it is just the top floor, the area is spacious and open, not crowded! The deck is the best place to drink coffee in the morning and the fire pit area is nice, secluded and fun for swimming! Loved it here!

Great family trip

  • 5 of 5

Us and our kids had a great time at eagles nest. Besides some rain that no one control was perfect. Close enough to the eastern UP attractions but quiet on the lake. Thanks again for the hospitality!

Peaceful and relaxing!!!

  • 5 of 5

Our family rented Eagle Nest on our vacation from Texas. Being from the lower peninsula, I wanted to share the beauty of the U.P. with my husband and children. Eagle Nest did not dissapoint! The lake was peaceful and the view was amazing. Sitting on the porch with the cool breeze was just what we needed. We loved taking the canoe out and kyaking the lake. It was nice that the lake was a gradual slop so the kids could enjoy the water without us worrying. All 5 kiddos LOVED playing in the yard. The older kids did a scavenger hunt and took LOTS of pictures.

The cabin was sup plied with all that we needed and Jon and Terry were amazing Hosts! Terry brought us a peach filo which was delicious and chatted with us when we were out.

Hopefully we will be able to enjoy this property again!!!

Beautiful home with great views of the lake!

  • 5 of 5

Our family rented the property for 2 beautiful weeks of sun and relaxation. The home is absolutely beautiful with spacious bedrooms and living space. Jon and Teri are two of the kindest people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting, they are very accommodating and Jon was kind enough to take a peek at my wave runner that was giving me a little trouble. The beach area has plenty of room for your wave runners or small boat and Jon and Teri allowed my brother to utilize the dock for his fishing boat. The lake bottom is nice and sandy and I’m happy to say that the water was the perfect temperature for floating in the tubes. Our family has been coming to Brevort lake for many, many years and this was by far the best accommodations! If you’re looking for the perfect spot, look no further, you will not be disappointed! Pictures do not do this property justice! We will be back!

We keep coming back!

  • 5 of 5

We are repeat renters for 5 years now at the Eagles Nest. The place has enough room for our family, some coming from out of town. Always clean and well maintained. Fun for the kids all ages with the beach, fire pit, kayaks and canoe. The owner has installed new queen beds in the bedrooms which added to the comfort of our stay. Beautiful view. I would highly recommend to anyone!

Spectacular view, spacious cabin, great beach

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed a wonderful, relaxing stay at Eagle’s Nest. The view from the balcony can’t be beat. The cabin had plenty of room for our families with young children. The beach & lake were perfect for small children. Jon & Terri were the best hosts we’ve ever had with a VRBO. Thank you!
