I have live in the Pacific Northwest my entire life and have been in the same career for the past 20 years. My passion is operating my vacation rental and meeting new guests.
The Owner purchased this house in 2003
I choose this location because it is beautiful, serene and located between two of the premier destination cities in the Northwest, Coeur d'Alene and Spokane.
The lake is a great fishing lake and the boat traffic is much lighter than larger surrounding lakes.
Nice views of the lake and the cabin is in great condition. Also found it in very clean condition. Planning on staying there again next year. One draw back is one bathroom upstairs for 3 bedrooms but overall amenities like expansive decks, great kitchen and fantastic location make up for it.
This house provides everything we needed for a hassle-free, easy and comfortable stay. We used it as home base for a week of cycling the area biking trails. Comfy beds, access to the lake, great deck ... and a darned good restaurant next door. There were no surprises. Everything was just as described. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Thank you so much for a great week! This house and property are top notch and we enjoyed our time there. The owner is super nice to work with and communicate with and there was even a basket filled with goodies to greet us when we arrived. The house is beautiful and spacious and overlooks the lake with gorgeous views. The dock is great and we really enjoyed the canoe and paddleboat. We rode bikes around the lake and were very surprised at how friendly the locals were. We ate pizza at the restaurant that's just a few doors down from the house. Really, we wish we could have spent more time at this house and on the lake. I hope we will be back soon. Thanks so much for a great vacation and for sharing your beautiful house and property, Bill. Thanks, The Mozingos! :)
As we live in the middle of the desert, near Las Vegas, our purpose for driving to Northern Idaho and a lake setting was to cool down. I also wanted to get a line wet and my wife wanted to do some reading and stitching. This house was perfect. Open floor plan, bright and airy with A/C and heat to meet any weather situation. The owner, Bill, is fantastic and will do whatever he can to make your stay comfortable and memorable. The water was low this year so I didn't get much fishing off of Bill's dock but a half mile away is a public boat launch which also has a picnic area, protected swimming area and large dock from which people fish all the time. I was able to catch bass, perch, bluegill, sunfish from the dock and saw others catch some catfish. Bill also provides a paddle boat and canoe which can be enjoyed by all on the lake or fished from if the wind isn't blowing too bad. The necessary life jackets are also provided. I had some breezy days so I stuck to the dock. The lake is small enough so that you can watch your kids in the canoe or paddle boat from the dock and really never loose site of them. Yet the lake is big enough that if you bring your own speed boat you can ski or jet ski to your hearts content as the lake isn't very busy. The whole family can also swim off of Bill's dock. The house is 3 story with all bedrooms being on the 3rd floor. There is a fantastic walk in shower with dual shower heads on the 3rd floor. The 1st and 2nd floor each have toilets with either a walk in shower or bath with shower. There is a den/family area with tv on the lower lever and the main floor (2nd floor) has plenty of room in the living room with tv, a sizable kitchen with everything you need and a dining area. Outside on the deck there is a large patio set and gas grill. In back on the same floor is the hot tub and outdoor shower with some seating. The deck wraps around the entire house and you do have a private rear entrance/exit to the hot tub. The TV stations are lacking, however, if there is something special you are interested in talk with Bill prior to your arrival and he will probably be able to arrange to accommodate your request. Within 4 miles there is a great Walmart and a Cabelas and a quick stop is within 2 miles. There are some fast food places within a few miles and Post Falls is just about 6 miles away and offers a variety of offerings. Embers Wood Fired Pizza is a 5 minute walk from the house, its fantastic. This is the best rental in the area.
This summer was the 3rd time vacationing at the Hauser lake house. It is our favorite area and dream place! It's a large ,very well layed out floor plan with the bedrooms all upstairs ,kitchen, dining, living and beautiful wrap around deck with a hot tub overlooking the lake on the middle floor and a cozy den in the first floor. Plenty of room for a group. This July was an extra special one for me especially,.. there were 3 of us couples, our friend suggested we get group photos on.the doc and then couples photos, when it was my boyfriend and I's turn to get our photos , he got down on one knee ans pulled out a ring and asked me to marry him!! Of corse I said yes!!! :-) so our sweet vacation turned into a romantic memorable place for us and I'd recommend it for anyone. Will be going to this lake house for many years to come!
We flew in from out of state and met 2 of our adult children who lived in the area at this lake home. There were 6 of us in total and we had plenty of room. The house is gorgeous and stocked with everything you would need for your home away from home vacation. We stopped and got groceries on the way to the house and grilled out every day with a provided gas grill. The lake was calm and not very busy at all, considering it was the 4th of July holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed the paddle boat and canoe and we were all over the lake. We rented paddle boards from the owner and Hauser lake was a perfect place to learn to use them. Our kids really enjoyed the boards and looked like pros by the time we left. Even though it was a scorcher while we were there it cooled down nicely at night and we enjoyed sitting in the hot tub and catching up. Bill was an absolute pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend this place to anyone. We will definitely be back!! Our only regret is that we should have stayed a bit longer!
