The Butterfly House is not a remodel but built 100% new in 2009. This private, modern, iconic, William Krisel designed butterfly home and detached pool casita are ideally located just two blocks west of the vibrant downtown core and nestled in the heart of the charming Historic Tennis Club neighborhood. Located just just steps from both the iconic Melvin's Restaurant (w/ 1950's "Rat Pack" style piano bar), the Rowan Hotel and the Avalon Hotel & Spa / Citron Bar & Restaurant, the location couldn't be more ideal for walking to nearby entertainment and sight seeing.

Fully walled and gated backyard for complete privacy while enjoying the infinity edge pool and jacuzzi. Pool has an oversize mosaic bottom tanning shelf, South facing and an IPE hardwood deck with a modern, fire feature will keep you warm on those chilly desert nights. Pool deck has plenty of sunny / shade areas with seating and lounging chairs depending on your tastes and extra seating for larger parties.

The modern, detached pool casita is designed as a second master with a full bath, indoor and outdoor showers, kitchenette with a separate, private entrance.

This home may be available for private events and professional photo shoots. The home is located near the Avalon Hotel and Ingleside Inn and is perfectly suited for a bride/groom/family wedding preparation and/or a honeymoon suite. Please inquire with owner.

We loved the Butterfly home and was perfect for our girls trip. Beautiful mid century style house with a relaxing outdoor pool/spa area and beautiful views of the mountains. This was our first visit to Palm Springs, and this location was perfect to explore! Close to the airport and walking distance to downtown for shopping and dining. Our host Michael was wonderful! We had a couple of very minor issues, but Michael very helpful and receptive. He definitely does earn his premier host badge.

The house was even more beautiful than the photographs. The backyard area is a little slice of heaven. The pool is a piece of art and it was warm too 85 for us and we enjoyed it our whole day. The bedrooms and living areas were also gorgeous. We came with just one other couple so we used the master bedroom and the Casita. We all felt very fortunate to be staying in such a gorgeous historic house. Communication with Michael was smooth and responsive. We loved the location as well.
