We stayed as a group of 5 for the weekend and the house was in a perfect location to explore the city. John was responsive and we would stay here again.
Bedroom downstairs is next to street and windows need to have light blocking curtains as all lights shine in the bedroom and makes it very hard to sleep.

A wonderful, renovated property in a nice neighborhood with excellent access to everywhere in Lex. Easy parking and a nice patio area with great outdoor seating. The 6 beds all had good mattresses. Host was kind and knowledgeable. Would definitely stay here again.
This is a lovely historic home in beautiful downtown Lexington. The bedrooms are comfortable and there is good AC and the host was responsive when the TV did not work. However the WiFi is poor so it was impossible to work here. The upholstered furniture in living areas also needs refreshing in order to make the living room a comfy space for a family of four. Fortunately, the house is within easy walking distance of many downtown attractions and restaurants.

We are glad that Dana appreciated our lovely historic home and its extremely convenient location.
Once she was instructed to use the correct remote for each of the three separate TV’s, there was not a TV issue. All of the TV’s work fine.
As for the WiFi issue, we were never contacted that this was a problem. The home is equipped with the highest speed fiber (1 G) that is available. It is possible that internet may have been down for part of their stay due to storm activity. However not being notified of the WiFi issue we couldn’t help to resolve the connection problem. We are always available to address all questions. I don’t recall this being an issue with any other of our satisfied guests.

We are very pleased we decided to stay at this property instead of a hotel. The location is in a beautiful historic neighborhood within walking distance of many restaurants. Getting to the Kentucky Horse Park was an easy 15 min drive. To top it off the beds were very comfortable and it was impeccably clean.
In addition, our host was very responsive when we had questions.
Thanks for a great location for our girls weekend!
This house was perfectly located for our plans in Lexington! We were able to walk to brunch at The Apiary and to other good, eclectic spots to eat. It was a very short drive to other places we wanted to go. We enjoyed staying in an historic property that is more unique than most rentals and found it less formal than the photos may make it appear. We easily found everything we needed for our stay here (but I confess that I didn’t cook given the many options to eat out nearby!). The host provided detailed information prior to our arrival which we appreciated.
Beautiful historic cottage overlooking Transy campus and walking distance to wonderful shops and dining. Well appointed with everything you will need for your stay. Comfortable back patio with many shade trees. Broadway can be quite noisy, so if you are a light sleeper you may want to bring a noise machine or earplugs. No issues with parking and the owner was very responsive when we had a question about the tv. Fun weekend in a lovely setting.
The groom and his friends stayed here. Only issue had was air conditioner not keeping up. My husband went in and said was very hot. Big difference from ladies next door.
Great walkability, parking, and everything we needed!
It’s not often you find a house to stay at right in the midst of downtown that is walkable to food, drinks, and attractions and still has enough parking (3 cars in our group) anytime of day that you might leave and come back, but this place was perfect! We walked to some of our weekend fun and food and drove to others, no problem either way! Despite being historic and therefore “old,” the home’s AC kept up perfectly in the August heat and the amenities and appliances were all very modern and up to date. The furnishings and decor had a historic charm to them and the beds were all very comfortable (bedroom 1: two fulls, bedroom 2: two twins, bedroom 3: two queens). Each bedroom had enough space that we could choose any of them to set up a pack n play we brought for a baby, and we were delighted to find there was even a rocking chair which was so helpful with putting a baby to sleep in a new environment. Being so centrally located, some engine revving and sirens can be heard periodically even when using a white noise machine - however this did not hinder anyone in my party’s sleep during our stay. The upstairs bathroom has an amazingly long and spacious double vanity outside the toilet/shower door - so perfect for several people to be able to prepare all at once! In the kitchen, we found everything we needed during our stay. The hosts were responsive and seem to have thought of everything!
We had an excellent experience!! Great communication with the owner who corrected a double booking issue by keeping the stress and anxiety levels low and with a quick solution. The house is amazing, the newly renovated kitchen and baths, the decorations, well stocked kitchen, parking and location are incredible! The special touches and care readily come through. We would rent from the owner again when back in Lexington!
