Hi Sal, Thank you so much for booking Sandpiper Cottage for your stay. I regret that you did not feel that the property met your standards. I really appreciate your honesty and constructive criticism. The cottage is from the 1950’s and is not a modern home, which does add to its charm and nostalgic vibe. I understand that this might not be for everyone. We have replaced the mattress protectors on the bed you mentioned and will be renovating the kitchen soon. The cottage is priced very competitively so the budget was used to provide comfortable surroundings. While the tv is not brand new, it is a flat screen tv with Amazon fire stick which to my knowledge, was not available in the 90’s. Even though we clean throughly between guest stays, occasionally an “unwelcome guest” may decide to visit due to our humid and tropical climate. Unfortunately we have had guests stain furniture and we do our best to clean any minor stains. It is difficult to completely replace furniture between stays so my apologies for any discomfort you might have experienced in finding a stain. Our property manager inspects the cottage between every stay and any spot cleaning or deep cleaning is accessed to avoid any question of the cleanliness of the cottage. Please be sure to send photos and message your host to show the issue so it can be addressed properly. I would’ve appreciated a chance to address any issues during your stay and would’ve done my best to accommodate you. My sincerest apologies that the property did but meet your standards. After our kitchen renovation I would welcome you and your family to stay again and provide another constructive critic.
