Escape to The Boulder Hideaway, a stylish 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom bungalow nestled among Prescott’s iconic granite boulders. Just 10 minutes from historic downtown, our home is the perfect retreat for couples, small families, remote workers, and outdoor lovers seeking both comfort and adventure.

The Space
Step inside and feel instantly at home in the bright, open-plan living area, where natural light floods the room. Unwind by the cozy indoor stone fireplace or stream your favorites on the 40-inch HDTV with Amazon Prime Video and Netflix.

The modern, full kitchen features a large island, perfect for preparing meals together. A French press and tea kettle are ready to welcome you each morning. The home also includes a convenient laundry area.
The master suite offers a comfortable bed and a dedicated workspace with direct access to the patio. The second bedroom is ideal for kids, with fun bunk beds, a crib, and a selection of children's books and toys. Two clean, modern bathrooms—one with a walk-in shower and the other with a relaxing tub—provide convenience for everyone.
Your private outdoor oasis awaits on the spacious paved patio. Gather around the fire pit in the lounge area on cool evenings, or enjoy a meal cooked on the BBQ grill at the separate dining set. We hope you find the Hideaway to be comfortable in every aspect!

Guest Access
You will have full access to the home, including a one-car garage for your vehicle or for bike storage. Additional parking is available in the driveway. We discourage street parking as the road is on the narrow side.

The Neighborhood
Our home is located in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood, offering a true escape while being conveniently close to everything. You're just a 10-minute drive from the charm of historic downtown Prescott.
For outdoor enthusiasts, incredible hiking and biking trails in the Prescott National Forest are just moments away. We are also located just one house off the famous Whiskey Off-Road race path.

Hosts were responsive and provided great communication. Home is beautiful, modern, clean and well-appointed. Quiet neighborhood, great location, included garage, gas fireplace inside, firepit table outside, comfortable patio with bbq grill. Lots of amenities for a comfortable stay! Will stay here again whenever in the area.

Nice Newer Home in Quiet Beautiful Neighborhood

The home was a newer, very nice, and clean single story house. The neighborhood was quiet with plenty of beautiful trees surrounding it. Clean, fresh air and next to a national forest. It was snowing when we departed and our host was nice enough to recommend a safer route leaving town to get home. Thank you!

visit to Prescott

We were very please with the communication between the owner of the home. The use of the garage was a plus and the home was very nice. Guest can be picky, but we felt that as people who enjoy reading the lighting could have been better and there was only one chair that was good for reading, the bedroom lighting was not the best and my daughters room had no lighting except overhead. Not a criticism but a suggestion. We spent most of our time at our daughters who lives about 7 minutes away which was great for us to go back and forth. It was a quite, peaceful place to stay. Clean and well taken care of. Enjoyed our stay.

Terrific location, serene and close to downtown!

Chelly's home away from home nestled in huge boulders was truly great! Clean, beautiful and thoughtful touches everywhere. It had everything we needed and more. My only suggestion is that we would have liked a more comfortable couch or sectional in the living room...though it is very cute ....some of us older people need a little more softness when trying to relax after fun adventures during the day 😊.

Best Birthday Getaway!

My family and I live in Phx where the heat never quits the road rage can be scary and the city never stops. I wanted a peaceful calm relaxing getaway and found the perfect place and home! The house was absolutely beautiful. It’s a few minutes away from Whiskey Row great restaurants and shopping!my kids were so sad when we had to pack up and head back to the city. Since our visit we have been actively looking at land and moving up to Prescott which wouldn’t of happened had we not had the best weekend getaway ❀ we look forward to staying there again and again and making the best memories w our little family

5 stars!!

We were very comfortable staying here (2 adults, 3 children ages 2-6). Nice, quiet neighborhood that is close to everything, thoughtful modern decor with live plants, garage for our car, full kitchen, all hard surface floors. Its very clean and like new, appreciate the "leave your shoes at the door" house rule, as we have the same rule at our house. Owners are helpful and quick to respond to any questions. Hope to stay here again!

July 4th vacation

Our stay was perfect. We enjoyed our stay and our time in Prescott. The house was very clean and nicely decorated. The outdoor seating area had great views. The owners have really put a lot of thought into making sure you have everything you need for a great stay.

Another Beautiful Stay in Prescott

This is my second time staying here. The Boulder Hideaway has a very quiet location though still convenient to town. I think the solid, well-built house is one reason it is quiet. In addition to the great location. It is also at a higher elevation than in town so it is cooler in summer. You can reach great hiking trails quickly. And, as I mentioned last time, the hosts respond quickly when you have a request or question.

Wonderful, quiet place!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this beautiful home! Chad and Chelly made us feel very welcome and cheerfully gave us the advice we needed for a most enjoyable stay in the Prescott area. When we needed a few things, they promptly brought them over to us. This is a lovely, functional, artistic and very comfortable place to stay. It was great to have a garage to park our car in. We enjoyed cooking in the well-appointed kitchen. The patio is awesome with comfy furniture, gas BBQ and fire pit. Star-gazing is nice on clear nights. Highly recommended!

Well Done!

This is a new, modern, upscale house in a new, modern, upscale neighborhood. The location is a few hundred feet higher elevation than downtown and, therefore, a little cooler. It is also quiet. The house features a large, open living room and a big, fully furnished back porch. Fun landscaping and nice (living) indoor plants. The kitchen is well-equipped and easy to cook in. The hosts are very responsive and helpful. Great place to stay in Prescott.

Outstanding Rental

We have stayed in many VRBO’s, and this one went right to the top of our list. The house was wonderful, clean, very well equipped, comfortable and really felt like home. The owners were great to work with and take great pride in their property. We will definitely return in the future, and recommend this property without reservation.

We are so excited to welcome you to our little mountain escape fondly named the Boulder Hideaway after the amazing pile of rocks in the front yard! We are Chad and Chey Herren and we live here locally in Prescott with our two girls and our Bernedoodle Koa. Chey grew up here and chose to return after living in fun places in her late teens and 20's. Chad grew up in Southern California and fell in love with the outdoor adventures the Prescott area offers (and well, Chey too). We are now raising our two daughters here who are 6th generation Prescottonians in Chey's family. Welcome to our favorite place to call home, we are so excited to share our home with you!

Chey's father lives up the street and Chey and Chad's personal home is just a 10 minute drive away. If you need anything or have any issues, please reach out!

Please make yourself at home! Enjoy all the hiking trails and lakes in our area, the proximity to the national forest, dining, shopping...or just relax on the patio and read. Either way we are so happy to have you stay at our home in this awesome City!
