Great Stay in Sarasot

Place was very nice and comfortable, very spacious living area with a great sectional and TV. Outdoor area is wonderful with a TV as well, and nice grill for cooking. Would stay again for sure.

Nice Family Friendly house

Great size house for a family. It was great to have a heated pool and a park right across the street. We were about 15 minutes from all the Sarasota family friendly activities (Siesta Key beach, jungle gardens and aquarium).

Fantastic Dog Friendly Location

We had a great stay in this home with our two dogs near Arlington Park. The house was well equipped with everything we needed for a two week stay. We had a couple maintenance issues which were quickly addressed. The house is right across the street from a park with walking paths and an off-leash dog park. Easy access nearby to the Legacy Trail for bike riding and a quick ride to downtown restaurants and beaches.

Within minutes of checking in, it was clear the property did not match the written description. The interior was very dated and worn, and the outdoor pool area was not clean — there were cobwebs and leaves throughout the lanai. The “greenspace” described as a relaxing option for a non-beach day was covered in old leaves, branches, and debris. The fenced-in area advertised for a dog was also broken and had visible gaps, making it unusable and unsafe.When we contacted the host immediately, she initially said she would be happy to issue a refund. After we secured another place on very short notice, she reversed course and told us we needed to work directly with VRBO. We then spent a significant amount of time going back and forth between the host and VRBO. During that process, the host called and yelled at us about leaving a bad review — even though we had not yet been given the opportunity to submit one.Eventually, we were notified that a refund would be issued, and it was posted to our credit card. The following day, VRBO rescinded the refund!Overall, this was a very frustrating and disappointing experience, and not what we expected based on the listing description. Be very cautious when booking via VRBO - this experience was highly concerning.

Thank you for your feedback. We are very surprised by this review, as you did not stay at the property and received a full refund. You contacted us shortly after arrival stating the home was not a good fit for you. We responded immediately and agreed to issue a refund. As with all VRBO bookings, refunds are processed through VRBO directly, which is standard procedure and outside of a host’s control once initiated. We fully cooperated with the platform, and the refund was approved and processed. We strongly disagree with the claims that the property was misrepresented. The photos and description accurately reflect the home. It is a well-maintained Florida property, and while it may not be newly renovated, it is exactly as shown. Our cleaning team services the home prior to every arrival, including the lanai and pool area. In Florida’s tropical climate, occasional leaves can fall between cleanings, especially during certain seasons. We also take issue with the statement regarding being “yelled at.” At no time did we raise our voice. We did express concern about the accuracy of statements being made, which we believe is fair when serious allegations are involved. We stand by the accuracy of our listing and the many positive experiences of guests who have stayed and enjoyed the home. We are always responsive and work quickly to resolve concerns — as we did here by facilitating a full refund. We wish you the best in your future travels.

Functional but the house & yard need love

Nice location and a house with a lot of potential. Great floor-plan, nice size bedrooms, well equipped but everything would benefit from an update and some love, particularly the yard. There is really nothing missing but nothing cared for or curated. The outdoor, front and back, is completely neglected. The pool is a nice size and clean. You won’t feel like you are in a beautiful home, but it’s practical for a family.

CLEAN COZY AND ACCOMODATING

Our family came to experience a relaxing Florida vacation AND we SUCCEEDED! Close to siesta key, we were able to go to the beach every day during our visit. We are so glad we picked this house! It was CLEAN and the beds and bedrooms were very comfortable. All amenities were available. It made cooking and cleaning easy. The pool was VERY clean and the “pool guy” even came by during our visit for scheduled water testing. We definitely used the pool! Beach chairs and a beach umbrella were available for the beach, which made going to the beach easy and convenient. We had coffee on the patio every morning. The screened in pool/patio made a HUGE difference. No bugs or critters. The property is located right across from a small park and walking path. We were able to enjoy strolling and walking near the property. We will definitely be renting this property again. CLEAN AND PERFECT LOCATION.

Beach getaway

Beautiful well stocked house! Has everything you need! The outside pool area is amazing! Outdoor tv and seating area with ceiling fan was very enjoyable. The pool was clean and warm. Close to all the beaches. Owner was quick to respond! Would definitely stay here again!

Best location adjacent to Arlington Park!

The home is extremely well located being across from a beautiful park and close to downtown and the beaches. The pool area is well equipped with a grill and more importantly a TV to keep my little ones in the pool all day! Living room was very comfortable and the bedrooms were a good size. Kitchen had everything we needed including some basic spices. Garage had great beach chairs, corn hole game, and coolers which were very helpful. The hall bath is renovated which also nice. Overall, a great two week vacation in one of the best neighborhood's in Sarasota!

Fall Getaway

Everything was pretty good experience. I have been using VRBO for about 8 years and am very satisfied. This house was very clean but lacked some kitchen amenities that would make it more enjoyable. Based on my looking at the pictures I gaged what was not there. Some were base items like almost everyone uses a Keurig these days. There was no crock pot or instant pot. No can opener. We had to go buy one before we could eat the first night. I know that this house is new on the rental basis so these are merely my suggestions to owners. Go to some estate sales in Sarasota and you'll get all you need. You have a beautiful property. PS Try to figure out to cover spot at front door where the terrazzo is damaged.
