Cozy, quiet cabin. Loved having a wood burning and just enjoyed the peace and quiet evenings. Went to nearby Raystown Lake for fishing during the day, and appreciate apet friendly rental for Maxx can vacation with us
Great and well appointed cabin, good location for checking out Lincoln Caverns. Helps to know how to operate a wood stove if you're going during the cold time of year (we did and had no issue with it). Would definitely book again.
We stayed at Drooly Bear Cabin while visiting my son at Juniata. The cabin had many amenities that suited us. Pet friendly being one of them. The overall place was clean and host had AC units installed with warmer weather over the weekend. Host was great to work with and very accommodating. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting Raystown Lake area.
My group stayed for a winter weekend and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The cabin was larger than expected and well equipped for all our needs. The wood burning stove was amazing and there was plenty of wood for a long weekend. We enjoyed hiking in Trough Creek State Park and the Cassville Country store. Matt the host is on point, would recommend the Drooly!
We had a wonderful stay at Drooly Bear Cabin! A few highlights of our stay was that there was plenty of room, it was clean, many things were provided (firewood, towels, linens, etc), and the owner was very nice and went out of his way to check on us to see if there was anything else we needed. The location was also great being very close to State Game Lands and to Raystown lake (10 min. drive).
Matt was a great host and it was a breeze to communicate with him before and during the stay. Although we were not able to take full advantage of it, he let us to check in early and check out late. The cabin was as described, a great place to get away!

If you are looking for a rustic cabin setting, this property is perfect.
This place was all it advertised and more. If you’re looking for some peace in a tranquil area, this is it. State park right down the road had some amazing hiking trails prime nature. Enough for a peaceful getaway in, out and around this place.
There were 15 of us, so our family filled up the cabin. Not all the beds were comfortable, but the host was very helpful & accomodating if we needed anything. The kitchen was well supplied. It was a great place to make good memories! Lots of space for activities: soccer in the driveway area, a campfire, group games in the living room area, hiking nearby, etc.
This was our third year staying at Drooly Bear and we will be back! Close to Lake Raystown and Trough Creek State Park. Great for family get together. Whole family loves it.
It served us well. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen supplies.

Not a far drive from the Raystown Resort which offers a beautiful lake to walk around at, fish to feed and a very fun water park. It’s a little on the small side but fun! Also several things to do on the lake and a pizza place that is delicious. Some convenience stores not to far from the cabin. Beautiful area with lots of wildlife!
Very nice cabin. Secluded but yet close to raystown and trough creek parks. Had everything we needed. Host was very nice and accommodating. Definitely worth going! Hope to go back in the fall.
Didn't spend much time in the cabin itself. The location of how close it was to hunting and fishing was perfect.
