This is a great house with great views of the Mississippi! Perfectly situated between Harper’s Ferry, IA and Prairie du Chien, WI. We enjoyed exploring the area. The house is clean and comfortable. If you’re traveling with kids, the bunkhouse room is perfect.

We loved our stay - location was perfect- quiet neighborhood - kind friendly neighbors on both sides of the cabin. Beds were soft and comfortable. Open deck and screened in porch was perfect.

We stayed 3-nights and really enjoyed are stay. It rained quite a bit of the time and the humidity was really high, but we still did some fishing and caught some blue gills and sunfish a Channel Cat and some Sheep head! We didn't have any problems, the Cabin was clean and nice, equipped with everything we needed. The river views and the Bluffs are absolutely beautiful! We will definitely be coming back to visit again soon.

This place was perfect for our little getaway. Short drive to everywhere we wanted to go (Harper's Ferry, Marquette, PDC, Effigy Mounds). Perfectly situated on the river with a dock for our jet ski and for fishing. Very clean and we loved the screened in deck! Would stay again!

Cabin is in a great location and right on the river. There is an huge deck with an enclosed section that’s really nice. Owner is not lying when he says that there are active train tracks very nearby. Cabin is basic but clean and the beds are very comfortable. Owner was super responsive and helpful. Would return.

NE Iowa Getaway

Our second time staying at this property. Enjoyed our stay. Good way the enjoy the Mississippi River. The kids love fishing off the dock! For a small cabin, the space is very well utilized. We especially like the screened-in porch.

perfect location

what a great place to stay. Yes the trains are close, heard them the 1st. night & then no longer. It was so nice that we are going to do it again next year.

Perfect weekend away

My mom and I with my best friend and her mom came for a mother/daughter weekend. We loved the house! It was a perfect place to come back and relax at. It was convenient getting to, we loved the view, it was very clean, we had plenty of room to sit and visit inside and out, and the beds were super comfy! We had a great weekend! We would definitely stay here again!

Nice river views

It was a lovely stay overall. The house is comfortable and well stocked. Lovely view of the moon and the sunrise over the river. I was a little unprepared for the number of trains coming through, but they were interesting to watch.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The property was VERY clean and had everything you’d need and more! Who doesn’t leave for a getaway and forget something small and this place had all the little things. It was peaceful and while there are train tracks they didn’t bother us. The screened porch was so wonderful and our favorite feature!

Last Minute Getaway

My husband and I took a last-minute getaway for his birthday. The home was really nice and right on the river. It was a quiet area for the exception of the train which was no bother. The property was near state land which allowed us to do some hiking. Just a 20 minute drive into town for restaurants and shopping.
