The place was great, I would just have a few suggestions. Only one bedroom had a tv which a lot of people like to have one in their room. The living room tv was pretty small. The couch was not comfortable, it was more for looks I’d say. The set up of the furniture had two chairs in front of the tv instead of a couch so we moved the couch to be in front of the tv instead, so no big deal. Then the gate situation was like d of annoying to always have to go through. There were two gate entrances which we were never told about. We went to the one the Mapquest took us to and we could never get in without an issue. The pool area was so packed that people were on the grass. You could Not get a chair in that pool area.

Enjoyed our stay

We were there during Cheer Worlds and Storey Lake public pool was always packed (no seats)… as expected. We were disappointed that this unit’s heated pool did not work and looked like it had been sitting stagnant for awhile. The girls were so sad they couldn’t enjoy it. It did not even look clean enough to toughen through the coldness. The beds were not very comfortable and there was only a TV in one room. Responses from the contact were slow. Maintenance took forever to replace the battery in the keypad on the door so our unit was unlocked for a full day before the owner responded with the spare key code. POSITIVES: It was clean. Spacious. Loved the location and that it was walking distance to the 24hr 7-11 and a little walk to the pool. We have older kids so we didn’t have to pack much for the pool, otherwise you’d need a stroller or wagon. Overall, if they fixed the pool and had TVs in all the bedrooms, we would stay again!!

I will start with the positives, the location for us was excellent. We’ve stayed at Storey Lake several times and the property looked great on the website. The negatives, the cleanliness of the house was unacceptable. After a long flight we had to start cleaning and had to try to get rid of a really strong smell of garlic. There was large amounts of dust everywhere in the house, it was dust that had been there for a long time. The furniture is tired and stained and needs a refresh. The beds were uncomfortable. The master room had a king frame but queen mattress. The humidity in the property was high, 75% on the Hive thermostat. Combined with 72deg on the thermostat it was uncomfortable every day and there was also a musty smell. We had to use the fans in the house to try to cool the property but they were thick with dust when we found them. I couldn’t recommend the property as we found it and we won’t be booking it again. Agent asked if we wanted a cleaning team to come round to discuss the issues but we had done the work for them already. I don’t know what the previous guest paid a cleaning fee for??

Downstairs bathroom not cleaned
Both fans we found were in the same condition
Stained, tired and very uncomfortable sofa
