Stay at a beautiful and bright home in the Historic Copeland District in Oak Bluffs. This 1928 home is mere minutes from dining and shopping on Circuit Avenue and the lovely local Inkwell beach and about a 15 minute walk from the ferry. The house sits on a large corner lot so there is plenty of space for kids to play as well as quiet spots to read and relax.
With porches on three sides of the house, there is a perfect spot for anytime of the day - coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the afternoon. Bring your book and relax on the hammock in the shade or enjoy dinner out on the screened in porch, the possibilities are endless!
Inside the house is bright and airy with lots of natural light and breezes. Its decorated in vintage island furniture blended with contemporary pieces to retain that authentic Vineyard feeling. Downstairs there is a traditional living room with original artwork. A separate dining room has seating for eight. Both rooms are right off the front porch so there is a great indoor/outdoor living vibe. An additional TV room has comfortable seating for movie nights. The kitchen opens onto a back patio and a screened in porch both looking over a large back yard .
Upstairs are four bedrooms arranged around a central hallway and a half bath. The master bedroom with the queen bed also has an attached 1/2 bath. Each room has multiple windows to allow in the breeze, or if needed there are box fans for each bedroom. The bedrooms are ideal for families with children or a gathering of friends.
Enjoy an outdoor shower in a secluded, large shower.
With town and the ferry just a short walk away, there is no need for a car, but the house does have a driveway and garage (complete with a basketball hoop) if you do drive over.

About Mary DiCicco
You will be renting from Chris, Mark, and Mary Culliton. In the picture Chris is on the left, and Mark and Mary are the two on the right (shown here with some close cousins). Mary and Mark live close by in the Boston area (Dorchester and Wellesley) and Chris is all the way out in LA. We always try and make at least one trip a year with all our families together at the house and otherwise sneak down whenever we can to enjoy the home we are so fortunate to own.
Mary DiCicco purchased this House in 1986
Why Mary DiCicco chose Oak Bluffs
Our father bought this place in 1986 because he loved the Vineyard and loved spending time down there. He planned to retire there, but unfortunately he passed away before that and left the place to the three of us in 1996. My father was an outgoing and fun loving administrator at MIT where he not only led but also was active on the rugby club until the day he died. His spirit of welcome and joy is alive and well at the house. We all carry with us the belief that making time for friends and family is paramount and that a house is only truly alive if there are sounds of laughter and activity from dawn until well past dusk. The three of us have managed the rental of the property as a team since we took it over and love to share it with others.
What makes this House unique
The best thing about the house is how close it is to everything while absolutely feeling like it is tucked away from all the crowds. Walking or driving up to the house from Oak Bluffs, the first thing you see if the hammock swaying on the wrap around front porch and it is indicative of the feeling that comes over you. You know that you have put away your cares for the weekend or week or longer and that freedom awaits.

This was a great house. I'd rent it again. The porch was outstanding and the screened in dining area was great too. Comfortable beds, which you don't always find. Excellent and well equipped kitchen. Another indoor shower would be good (we had 8 people) but we used the outdoor shower even in October. Great location, close to everything.
Charming home, perfect location!
My family and I had an absolutely wonderful time at this home and can't wait to come back next year. The home is FULL of charm and love - so many interesting windows, doorways, nooks and details. We loved the charming decor and soothing color palette. The outdoor space, especially the hammock on the large deck and the outdoor shower, was such a bonus. The location was absolutely perfect, as others mentioned! We walked to the shops and restaurants in Oak Bluffs, meandered around the streets admiring all of the gingerbread cottages, walked to the ferry and to Inkwell Beach. Right around the corner is Niantic Park - an absolutely gorgeous, brand new playground with structures that were designed to echo different elements of Oak Bluffs - a ship, a lighthouse, and a gingerbread cottage. It was perfect for little kids and challenging for the big kids we saw there too! We spent time there each day with our 3 young kids. I can't stress enough how walkable this home was, and how key that was to the enjoyment of our weekend - we were a large group and it was so wonderful not to have to split up into cars to enjoy time out of the house. Mary was so responsive and welcoming when I had questions or comments about the home!
Enjoyed our stay at Nashawena Park, Oak Bluffs
We had a wonderful time at this home and found it large with lots of public spaces for everyone to enjoy together. The beds were comfortable and the location was stellar. Very quiet location close to everything.
Lovely Vineyard home
This place was wonderful. We love renting in Oak Bluffs because of easy accessibility to both town and beaches. Renting this house had the advantage of being away from traffic and noise, but being only a short walk from town and beaches. The house itself was clean, well-maintained, and perfect for our extended family. The outdoor spaces, both porches and yard, as well as the green space of Nashawena Park, were perfect for our active toddler. The owner was very helpful, responding in a timely manner to all inquiries. I would highly recommend this property.
Great Location-No Car Required
Location is perfect. Great house for active family. Limited perks in house. Walk and bike access to everything. Owners are very easygoing.
Love Farm Neck golf course and lobster rolls, hot and cold.
NO stress..No mess...a true family vacation!!!!
Location! Location! Location! We can not say enough about our time spend on the island. Our pictures, as beautiful as they are, did not capture all the laughs, all the fun, and all the quality time we got to spend together. There were 7 of us--from age 11 to 83. We were in awe of the beauty that surrounded us from the cliffs at Gay Head to the sunset in Menemsha (honestly, our 3 children--16,14,&11 yrs. old sat so quietly as the last bit of light escaped the island that night. I will never forget it) We wanted to explore everyday and visit every light house. And our saving grace was that we had a "HOME" to rest in every night. This home sits on a corner lot, with a beautiful front porch and it is just a short walk to the ocean. My mother and mother-in-law enjoyed the walk thru the Methodist community of unique & pretty little Gingerbread Houses right in Oak Bluffs. The kids also jumped off the "Jaws" bridge which wasn't too far away and they even took in a fishing trip aboard The Skipper. The captain was awesome and the fresh catch was delicious! We took the fish home and made quite a meal out of it. We could not have done all we did if we stayed somewhere else--I TRULY BELIEVE THAT! You have to keep the kids busy and entertained while making sure the senior citizens have what they need and get rest as well. We would get up early, make a nice breakfast at home, head out for a bit and rest on the porch in the afternoon before going back out for fun and sight seeing. The house was plenty big--4 bedrooms (what we used as the master has a half bath which was so convenient). There is a huge dinning room table which we ate 90% of our meals at and a cozy den so Grandma could catch the news at night. There is also a screened in porch with a table for board game fun..but many games were played in the dinning room as well! The kitchen was FULLY LOADED AND THE HOUSE WAS VERY CLEAN!! With the 7 of us going, we just couldn't see spending the added money on eating out! We took advantage of everything that home had to offer. Our kids all play sports and our "normal" life is BUSY! We enjoyed the home and just being together. That's what made this vacation sooo special. It was kind of like "stop the world, I want to get off"... life is a busy roller coaster ride for many families. I am so appreciative that this family opened their home up to our family so we could have one of the best vacations ever--just relaxing!!! Thank you!! We'll be back!!
House is on a quiet street with little traffic even at the height of the season, but you can get downtown or to the beach into the action in a 5 minute walk. Oak bluffs is known for its fine restaurants, historic carousel and night ife.
