It features a well-equipped kitchen with all the essentials, including a dishwasher, central air-conditioning, a private balcony overlooking the community tennis courts, on-site washer/dryer for your laundry needs, comfortable and inviting furniture, and TV with cable. The living area sofa bed provides an extra sleeping space.
Things to Know The building provides complimentary WiFi as a courtesy, but it is not guaranteed. Occupancy limits include all children and cannot be exceeded. The indoor pool and large outdoor pool will not accommodate children in diapers. There is an outdoor kiddie pool provided for children in diapers. Per building management, cannabis is prohibited everywhere on the Golden Sands grounds. Ocean City has adopted a noise control ordinance that makes it unlawful to cause or permit noise levels which exceed those established by the Department of the Environment of the State of Maryland (COMAR 26.02.03.02) or are in violation of Chapter 30, Article V of the Town Code. It shall be a violation of this agreement and grounds for eviction under Maryland law if these noise levels are exceeded as a result of activity on this property. Ocean City has other noise ordinances, which are criminal offenses if violated.

Great location on the beach. View was excellent, amenities were great…having the Tiki Bar, deli and gift shop on site was very nice. Three bedrooms, each with their own full bathroom worked great for our family. Also being on the third floor, near the stairwell was convenient when the elevators were backed up during peak time. Staff at the resort were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our visit.
Cleanliness was not good at all. The comforter in the master bedroom was so stained and smelled so bad I had to wash it before we went to bed. The floors could have used a good mopping and it would have been nice to have a working vacuum. I don’t understand why we pay a cleaning fee if I’m going and buying cleaning materials and cleaning it myself.
Great unit spacious exactly as described if we ever go back to Ocean City We would stay here again. One down note there were no pots for pasta but we made it work😋

Nice Property, Frustrating Experience with Vacasa
We enjoyed the location and comfort of the condo. Furniture and beds were great, but the experience was let down by cleanliness and guest support. The unit had not been cleaned properly before arrival. My wife and I had to spend over two hours cleaning the floors, bathrooms, and surfaces before our elderly in-laws arrived. There was not even a broom provided.The bigger issue was when the AC stopped working one night. With two small children, the rising temperature made it difficult for them to sleep. I contacted guest services and was told help was on the way, but I ended up speaking to three different people, each giving conflicting information. I wasted hours waiting and making calls, only to later learn that onsite maintenance could have fixed it from the beginning. The AC was eventually repaired, but the process was disorganized and unnecessarily stressful.Golden Sands is a great building, and the unit itself has potential. But due to the lack of cleanliness and frustrating customer service through Vacasa, I would not book through them again.

Love the three bedroom condo. It was clean, beds were made, towels, and a started kit with bathroom and kitchen/laundry supplies provided. Any issues we had I was able to contact customer service and get a resolution quickly. Only issues were elevator on check in day ( long lines for a few hours) and no extra parking space. I was able to obtain an additional parking space at a reasonable cost on the second day. The paid lot you can park an extra car at is a couple blocks away on bayside.

Had some difficulty getting in the door due to past jamming. They took care of it immediately when called. Someone before us tripped the timer of the dishwasher but we were able to fix it. Kitchen had some missing implements for cooking but overall it was a lovely stay and we had a great deal of relaxed time in a nice atmosphere. The pull-out sofabed was even comfortable. We could have done without the car festival of historic cars and speedsters but it was a very enjoyable stay. Reasonable price. Thank you for the very nice getaway.

Bad from the beginning
The place was okay. However, when you show up and there are people in your place because vacasa gave them the keys to your unit it keeps you from getting a few extra stars. Had to fight to get compensated which shouldn't have been a thing. The place itself was okay. I little smaller than I would prefer. I have stayed at many different condo complexes and this one falls in the middle. Unfortunate to have this experience this is where my wife and I got married years ago.

Very weird stale smell, refrigerator not clean, plan to go shopping asap as it lacked essential necessities (hand soap, a sufficient amount of toilet paper and paper towels, etc), terrible bar/stores, poor communication with propery manager. I found the property through Vrbo but ended up being funneled to a company called Vacasa. This company told us we could rent another parking space, however after booking, the Golden Sands employees told me it’s only 1 space per property and they can’t guarantee additional spaces. It’s first come first serve - even though we booked a room with 3 bedrooms. Additionally we believe we may have left an item behind, when we asked Vacasa about it, they said we have to pay $25 for them to open up a ticket and look for the item. They cannot contact the owner, or the cleaning company. I’ll never book with a company like this again. There’s plenty of other properties in the same general location - skip this one

The condo itself was recently updated and clean! The 3 bathrooms was great for our family. The location was right on the beach & the pool & tiki bar were great too. Some minor things to consider though is that there is only 1 parking spot included. You can purchase another parking pass for $20/day. We had 3 cars and they would only let us purchase 1 additional pass. However, there is free street parking very close. If you make a right at the light right past the condo building there is free parking on left hand side. We left 1 car there the whole week with no problem. Just a quick walk across the street to the condo. Another thing if you have young children is they were very strict with babies wearing swim diapers in the large pool and would only allow them in the baby pool which was frustrating bc our 2 year old wanted to go in the big pool with everyone else. So keep that in mind if you have young children. There is a drop off lane around back of the condo building ( we didn’t notice it when we arrived but did when we checked out) and this made loading up the car a lot easier. Overall, this condo was great and aside from the parking it would of be a 5/5 ⭐️! I would definitely recommend staying here, we loved it!

We (6 adults) were very pleased with this unit and stay. The unit was clean, nicely decorated, fully equipped with 3 bedrooms and 3 full bath. Although the kitchen is small, the rest of the unit was large enough for all of us to be comfortable. It’s beautiful, with an ocean view from the large balcony, bay view from the small balcony and perfect location on 3rd floor of 22 story high rise. It’s located on 109th St so there’s many bars and restaurants within a walkable distance. There’s also a nice bar on the property which we were surprised opened up on our weekend in the middle of May. There’s also a pickleball court, strange surface though and net needs repaired but playable and a tennis court. We were given one parking pass and thought we’d have to pay extra bc our group had 3 cars but found out upon arrival that the parking was free off season. We were supplied enough 2 small Dove bath soaps, dishwashing liquid, kitchen sponge, 3 laundry pods, 4 dishwashing pods, kitchen sponge, 3 lg garbage bags, 2 small shampoos plus conditioners, bath ,wash, & hand towels-1 of each + a couple extra for each person in condo, coffee filters for the regular coffee pot plus there’s was a single cup keurig available to use. A blender, toaster, and toaster oven was also there along with anything else we needed in the kitchen. We had a very enjoyable stay and plan to stay there again.

Nice Property, Frustrating Experience with Vacasa
Cleanliness:
Unfortunately, the unit was not clean upon arrival. My wife and I spent over two hours cleaning the tables, countertops, bathrooms, and floors before my elderly in-laws arrived. We would have been embarrassed for them to see the unit in that condition. I understand it’s a beach property and sand is inevitable, but the floors had clearly not been swept. There wasn’t even a broom in the unit, so we had to buy one ourselves. The box fan in the front room was also caked with dust. Honestly, it should have been thrown out.
Property:
The furniture itself was quite nice. The couch was very comfortable and the beds were above average for a rental. The main issue was that the AC failed for one night. While I understand things can break, the way the issue was handled (covered below) made the experience much more frustrating than it needed to be.
Guest Services:
Two things really stood out here:
1. Cleanliness Follow-up:
A couple of hours after check-in, I received a text asking about the unit’s cleanliness. I replied honestly, explaining we had to clean for two hours. I was told the issue would be forwarded to management, but I never heard back. No follow-up, no apology, nothing.
2. AC Issue:
The AC stopped working one night and the temperature rose to 78 degrees, which made it difficult for my two young children to sleep. I called the customer service number provided and was told to turn the unit off for 45 minutes and that a repair ticket had been opened. I was also told someone would contact me. No one did.
By 6:00 AM the next morning, I called again. The rep said they would reach out to the local team. Later, I got a call back saying the local team only works 9 to 5, but she had some information on next steps. When I pushed for more clarity, she put me on hold and transferred me to someone else, who said security would need to come inspect the issue first before a technician could be dispatched. I waited around the unit for two hours for someone to show up, but no one did.
Frustrated, I went to the front desk myself and they informed me that maintenance would be coming to fix the issue. Eventually, it was resolved while I was at the beach.
The AC was fixed in the end, but the process was chaotic. I spoke with three different people, none of whom seemed to understand the actual repair process or know that local maintenance was available. I spent hours on the phone, missed out on time with my family, and felt unnecessarily stressed. Not because the issue was complicated, but because the response was disorganized and uncoordinated.
Summary:
This will likely not be my last stay at Golden Sands. It’s a great location and has potential. But it will be my last time booking through Vacasa. Cleanliness standards were not met, and the customer service experience left a lot to be desired. When something goes wrong, I expect a straightforward, informed response, not confusion and a runaround.

Nice stay
Overall it was a nice place and we had a great vacation. The unit is very nicely updated. We had 8 people and found the kitchen a bit tight for that many people. I feel it could be better stocked overall. For example, there wasn’t a pot to boil water so I had to buy one. We’ve rented other units in the building over the years that did supply beach chairs, towels, sand toys etc but this unit had nothing. There also is not an iron in the unit but the front desk was able to provide one. There was also multiple issues with the elevators in the building all week -very slow, only one working several times, and we got stuck in one for a bit as the doors kept opening and closing on their own.

Girls Labor Day Trip
Overall it was good. Only down fall is the parking. The lot was only half full the entire time but yet you were only permitted one vehicle for a party of 6 adults. For the price of the rental, that’s disappointing.
It needs some repair. Stove top in kitchen is cracked and needs replaced. Screens need repair. TV has one channel in bedroom. Doors need repair at washer and dryer.
