'SkyView Rentals Elegant Elk' is a 6 bedroom 6 bath luxury cabin with elevator that offers panoramic views of the Smokies from one of the most majestic peaks in Sherwood Forest Resort. Leading to the main entry deck there is only stairs leading up to the front door. There is an elevator on the inside of the property that goes to all 4 levels. Located just minutes from action packed Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, major area attractions, restaurants and endless shopping.

As you enter the warm fully furnished lodge on the main level, you'll find a beautiful stacked stone fireplace flanked by a wall of windows. Enjoy the spectacular views while rocking on the deck or relaxing in the hot tub. Just off the fully equipped gourmet kitchen is a master bedroom with a king size bed, TV and large bathroom with a walk-in tiled shower.
A short elevator ride up to the loft reveals a second master bedroom with fireplace, king bed, TV, large bathroom, and huge Jacuzzi tub. Off this bedroom is a cozy game area with pool table, air hockey and foosball, and a loft deck with more fantastic views. Ride the elevator down to the lower level to enjoy another big-screen TV and 3 other bedrooms (2 with king beds and 1 with queen-over-queen bunk beds), all with their own private bath. Here you'll find another fireplace and deck to reap those peaceful moments in your rocking chair.
One more elevator ride down to the lowest level offers a wet bar, 1 more bedroom with private bath and Jacuzzi tub, and the beautiful home theater equipped with rocking theater style chairs! Visit with friends and family here while you enjoy the bar and deck.

Great Christmas Destination

Our family all got together for Christmas here at the cabin. For most of the week it was my husband and I and one of our children’s families. There was more than enough room for all of us.

Wonderful Mountain Home

The house was beautiful, clean, and accommodating for our large family. The kitchen was well stocked. The rental company was very responsive. The view of the mountains was beautiful. The location was very convenient to all of our activities.

Great views but needs some updates

The property overall was good but for the price, we had hoped for mattresses and cookware that had any shred of remaining life in it. 5 of the 6 bedroom mattresses were so worn down that you could feel the springs trying to poke through and the sofa beds are in my opinion unusable given the condition. There is only enough room for 3, maybe 4 cars but there is overflow parking availabile a short walk away. The stairs are on the outside of the building. Beyond that, the property manager was easy to work with and helpful when needed. Check-in was super simple as well which is always appreciated.

Overall a good stay

A huge cabin. Enough room for 12 adults and 3 kids. Not far from Gatlinburg or downtown Pigeon Forge. Enough plates and cooking pots for us. Fridge is huge to store food for a big group. The kids loved the theater room. Few complaints: the sewage smell in the morning and evenings outside the cabin. It is on septic system, so unsure if it smells like this all the time or was coming from a leak somewhere, or even a nearby cabin! Also, the hot tub was dirty with black stuff in the water and on the seats. So, even if we wanted to use it, we def wouldn't have been able to. 1st floor king bed mattress was hard for us but I guess if you like hard firm mattress, would work for you. Others said their mattresses were fine.

Smoky Mountain Top

The home was beautiful, clean and full of amenities. It is in a quiet neighborhood with similar appearing rental homes located at the top of the hillside. The kitchen was very well stocked with enough pots and pans and enough plates for a very a large group of people. But, because some of the frying pans had seen better days and their Teflon coating had scraped away, we ended up buying some cheap pans to use from the local Wal-Mart. But that was not a big deal. The home was very comfortable and given the four floors, it was easy for one to escape to a quiet part of the floor or out onto one of the four balconies. The rooms were spacious and beds very comfortable as well. The movie theater was a great plus as was the game room on the fourth floor. The only detraction had nothing to do with the home but the view. Since the on-line phots were taken, the trees outside have grown so much that they block what was once a panoramic 180 degree view of the mountains across the valley. There is now only about a 30 degree view of the mountains due to the trees that have grown up to and above the fourth floor balcony.

An aging elegant beauty - with a few improvements 3 starts could be a 5

Amazing views, ample space for a large group gatherings with well stocked kitchen and seating area, plenty of hot water and bath towels, private baths for each room. Plenty of comfortable outdoor rocking chairs to enjoy the view. This cabin seemed like a dream for our party of 10 adults, 2 teens, and 3 children. Plenty of indoor space and things to do in the region for all ages. Our concerns started with the air conditioning not working properly on the floor with the most bedrooms. The property manager indicated it needed a part and offered to relocate half of our party to another cabin however it was at least 30 minutes away which defeated the purpose of renting one large facility although that would have potentially solved the parking situation. The cabin can sleep 26, however only 4 vehicles fit in the parking area. Inside elevator is a plus however, anyone with mobility issues will find getting into the cabin a challenge. Marketing materials did not mention the lack of inside stairs. The description stated "Enhanced Cleaning Practices" exceptionally important to our family especially for the infants and children and those adults with allergies. Unfortunately what we found was dirty floors, hair and mildew in the tubs and showers, dust everywhere and dirty windows. Although the kitchen was stocked well with an amazing freezer & refrigerator, the appliances were in disrepair. Broken refrigerator drawers, missing refrigerator shelves and rust was evident which could have been overcome if there was a mini-fridge on each floor. The dishwasher worked however the rollers on the bottom dish rack must have been broken since it wouldn't roll out properly. Pots and pans were well used and beyond their useful life. Replacement of the missing TV remotes and/or batteries, missing pool sticks, and repairing the game tables would be a plus. The sofas cushions were worn out and some mattresses uncomfortable. The 2nd floor bedroom closet door could not close and bathroom door was missing hardware. Biggest satisfaction: Space to have family sit down dinners and game time. Biggest disappointment: Misleading advertisement of free Dollywood tickets. The way the tickets are allocated does not allow a group of 15 to go together. A group birthday celebration for Grammie's birthday turned into small groups doing their thing for the day. Everyone had fun, just not in the planned manner. Will visit the Smokies again, but would rent elsewhere.

Some Games Not Working

Everything was great aside from the gaming area. The air hockey table did not have prongs to plug it in, and the shuffleboard table had no sand, rendering it unusable.

The house was big and very accommodating for our large family. The amenities were great as well. House cleaning could have been better and some of the furnishings could have been updated or repaired. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much.

Great vacation

We really enjoyed the house and it's location. It was perfect for our family and friends to ring in the new year! Only thing that was not appreciated was that the hot tub was not cleaned prior to arrival as it was supposed to be and pots and pans definitely need some updating. Overall a fantastic week and very enjoyable

Magnificent Views

We will be staying again. This was the most beautiful cabin that we have stayed in. Stacy the manager was so pleasant and we had a small problem and she was right there to insure it was taken care of. The game room was a blast and the views you could not beat the views!

Loved This Condo

Very nice and spacious condo.. It was very well stocked with dishes, pots and pans and other supplies in the kitchen. Lots of towels in all the bathrooms. Beds were comfortable. All of our family enjoyed our time there. Thanks VRBO personnel.

Overall great experience

The cabin was overall great! Didn’t like that there were no stairs in the inside of the property just a small elevator. Also the WiFi was pretty weak! However the cabin was fun, clean, and not too high up the mountain that our 15 passenger van was able to get up with no problem! Would stay here again!

Really enjoyed our stay

This property was perfect for our party of 12. We loved every aspect of it. The property was clean, we had plenty of room to spread out or gather and fellowship. There were enough amenities to keep us occupied as well. We had an issue with the heating/air (nothing a fault of the property manager) and I was able to get in touch with Stacy right away. She talked me through the process of setting the heat properly and was really friendly and willing to help. I would definitely stay here again. You will love it for you and your family.

Sandra and I, plus our kids and Ginger our Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever want you to have a great time just as we do when we get the chance to stay in our cabin. We moved from the Twin Cities and settled down in a suburb of Tampa, Florida, but always loved the beauty of the Smoky Mountains as we drove between Florida and Minnesota. We always said that when we could get a place to share with our family and friends we would. We also wanted it to be a place that we could share with others.
