As much as I wanted my stay to be great, this trip left a huge stain on my view of Paris. My family and I visited during a heatwave and nothing could have prepared us for the lack of cooling resources . While I knew AC wasn't wildly used in France and unavailable for this unit, I thought it to be very negligent on our host to have zero fans available during the summer months. Can you imagine, a huge 3 br apartment with ZERO fan or AC? Now, there was a portable AC in the living room, but it properly set up (basically a portable AC has a hose attached, that is supposed to filter the hot air from inside the house, to the outside. Because it wasn't properly set up, a broken hose and no actual window set up, the hot air continued to circulate on the inside). If you're traveling during cooler months, this place is perfect. Otherwise, prepare to be cooked!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am truly sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations.
The portable air conditioner provided in the apartment was fully functional. The guests who stayed immediately after you installed the exhaust hose without any difficulty, so it is likely that it had been removed by previous guests before your arrival.
I personally stayed in the apartment with my two daughters (aged 2 and 5) last week, during temperatures of 38°C. We kept the air conditioner running throughout the day in the living room/kitchen and placed a sheet over the window opening to reduce the hot air coming in. Despite the 50 m² living area, the temperature remained around 26.5°C. While this is not very cool, it is a livable temperature during an exceptional heatwave.
Unfortunately, very few apartments in Paris are equipped with air conditioning, and we are fortunate to provide a portable unit. We understand that a second unit would have been helpful, but during that period portable air conditioners were sold out across France, making it impossible for us to obtain another one.
We are sincerely sorry that the heat affected your stay and appreciate your feedback.
