Renters beware
The rental experience started the morning we were supposed to check in. The owner texted about check in procedure and casually mentioned the first floor was not a part of the rental due to it being under construction. Ok no big deal but the real start of this terrible experience was at the front door. While opening the front door to the property the glass window in the door fell out on my head, shoulder, and knee. After calling the owner they informed us they were on their way from NYC and it would take several hours for them to get there to fix it. Luckily my husband was able to put the window back in because we rented for Presidentsâ Day weekend. Upon inspection we noticed there were no screws securing the window. After getting into the unit we noticed the entire place smelled of cigarettes. The bathroom wasnât even cleaned before we arrived, to say it was gross is an understatement. The place had wires that were electrical taped together. The beds were awful. There werenât basic things like salt and pepper, or a dish drain. Finally after almost 12 hours after contacting the owner they stated they were unable to get a contractor to come and secure the window and asked if they wanted us to have them come over. By that point their was no point in having them fix it. The topper to the experience was there were giant ants the last morning of our stay. Iâll sum up this review by saying there is a picture in one of the bedrooms titled âThe boulevard of broken dreamsâ-that is what this place is. Renters beware.
