Wonderful 3 bedroom 2 bath unit with amazing Ocean Views. Bob Creek is directly across the street, known for Agate hunting and tide pooling.
Unit is on the 2nd floor of estate and accessed via staircase. Nice Oceanview deck to sit outside and take in the view.
Spacious open floor plan with lots of natural light. Enjoy walking the grounds which include a small pond and fire pit area with picnic tables.

Coast vacation

We enjoyed the home and location very much! The beach and surfers just across the road was perfect. We could watch both from the front room or walk down and enjoy the beach

Stinginess is silly

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love The Loft at Bob Creek. The house was clean and lovely. Ocean Odysey's policy on paper products is just plain silly. We had two tissues, not enough TP, no sponge or dish cloth. Those are not expensive items but it is a pain to bring them to a lovely, well-stocked house. Shame on such a silly policy.

Labor Day weekend

This is a beautiful home with a view to match. It was very comfortable, and had plenty of space for the four of us. We had no issues finding our unit, the unit itself is very clean, and full of charm. We spent most of our trip out of the house, but during the time we were there, it was very quiet, and we were not disturbed at any point during our stay. The beach access across from the property seems to be pretty popular, and parking can fill up fast. Fortunately, staying here means you can just walk across and enjoy the water. Thanks to Ocean Odyssey for this experience. It was great to get to come back down to the Oregon coast this year.

A Lick and a Promise

This property is ideally located for a serene ocean view stay. Our plans changed, so instead of a three family reunion, only two good friends shared this stay. We were surprised to see the property was under construction - apparently adding additional rental units, and though we were not bothered by the work going on, the appearance of this house was altered quite a bit from the posted photos - which appear to have been taken some time in the past. This takes away a little from the charm of the home. The amenities - spa, and picnic area are run down and the big lawn was unattended. Since there was no stove in the kitchen, it is fortunate we did not have to prepare food for several people. Being resourceful, we were able to make do with a variety of small appliances. The location is a few miles away from Waldport, the nearest village with a few restaurants, and we were able to find a couple that were quite good. This property has the potential to be an excellent place for 4 to 6 people, but the owners will have to pay attention to detail and improve the overall appearance of the grounds. Once the building is painted and the roofing replacement is complete, it will look much better, for sure. During our stay, it was not a great photo opportunity. As a suggestion, it would be nice for guests to be able to access some apps on the TV for movies, music, and sports. The owner apparently does not make most of these channels available to guests.

The TV in the master bedroom didn’t work, probably the remote needed new batteries, and during a thunderstorm we noticed the living room window leaking water on the window seal and dripping onto the floor. I let the host know right away but never heard anything back. You can only wash one load of clothes a day due to it being on a well, so for multiple families staying it could be a challenge. Other than that the bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and we had an awesome view of the ocean. I brought my telescope and got to see a whale spout water.

Ocean Odyssey was easy to work with - prompt communication via email.

Great Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location for access to rock hunting beach. Very clean rental. Owner occupied and she is a very nice lady. We rented the upper level of the home. The owner lives directly beneath the rental and also rents out two other rooms within the home, along with an apartment above the garage and 2 r.v. spaces. I mention this only because at the time of our stay we were the only renters so it was fairly quiet on property.

Just Across the Road

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was perfect! It was a quick walk down the driveway and across the road! We made it a point to be at the beach every sunset, and explored the tide pools during low tides! This house backs up to the woods; there were a few trails going up but I didn’t explore far. This house is between Yachats & Florence, so there was access to grocery shopping within 45 minutes drive. There were five members of our family and this apartment provided plenty of room for us. The living room had mostly windows, which looked out to the ocean. I would recommend whale watching at Depoe Bay and sand dune riding with Torex in Florence! Stop along the way to Florence and hike Hobbit Trail! The property was clean and well maintained. The management for this property was very helpful; Katie called me before we even arrived in Oregon to answer my questions and give me specific directions to the property.

Positive Experience

Positives: The staff at Ocean Odyssey! Three bedrooms, and two bathrooms! The VIEW!! The very large kitchen! A variety of kitchen appliances! A large fridge! A perfect size dining table for 6 of us, for meals and wild games of UNO, and SPOONS!! Negatives-No stove. I couldn't figure out how to use the single burners, so no corn on the cob! One load of laundry a day due to the well and septic system (I believe) The shower/tub water didn't drain, initially but it was fixed the day after I reported it. The extra long foam mattress in the second bedroom. I fell off the end of the bed twice before realizing what the problem was with the shorter bed frame! Lastly, be aware that this wonderful home with the beautiful view is a curvy drive to Florence. It is closer to Yachats.

Great View - comfy place

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Bob Creek loft was easy to find. The 3-bdrm loft is the second story of a house with a separate entrance up a flight of stairs from the parking area. (So not ADA accessible). The pictures are quite accurate. It has a spacious living / kitchen area where we spent most of our time. The view from the living room is really wonderful; you can walk across the street to the ocean in minutes. The master bed was very spacious and comfortable. Yachats is just 10 minutes up the road, an easy drive. Important to note: Like much of the coast, cell reception is weak or nonexistent. But the house WiFi did work. The kitchen is well appointed with one exception - there was no oven or stove top range. (This may be temporary – not sure?). There is a hot plate we were able to use effectively as a griddle, as well as an air fryer and two microwaves. It did require some creativity in meal planning.Would I go again. Yes. It was the getaway I needed.
