Nigh Tides - Meredith Lodging

A Yachats single story Ocean View home will quickly become a family favorite! If your looking for adventure the home is near the beautiful 804 Trail which is guaranteed to bring home peace of mind, views of whales (in season), and many shells from Smelt Sands State Park. There will be lots of opportunity for great phots, don't forget your camera!

Home has wonderful views of ocean from Living room, where one can just sit & relax, read, as it is separate from the Family Room, where the TV is located. The large back deck is sunny and private, and also has some little sitting areas in the garden. Home is also equipped for family fun with a Ping Pong Table, 9 Foot Basket Ball Hoop, and a great yard. Home also had a "Old School" video Game console with 60 games and a stereo that can connect to iPhone/iPad, and a large collection of DVD's and Books.

Nigh Tides is centrally located and a short walk to the downtown area of Yachats. The Library is down at the end of the street on 7th, the Farmers Markets is down on on 4th, as is the Bakery. So many great shops to see, and visit. The grocery market is right on main street, and tons of marvelous restaurants too!! The beach is accessible by crossing the bridge over the Yachats River, and turning immediately onto Yachats Ocean Rd, where you can spend hours watching the tides change, while on the sandy beach. Walking trails are everywhere, and everyone must go to Cape Perpetua, and the Sea Lion Caves!  

Waldport is just up the road by 8 miles, home of Dungeness Crab, and you can rent boats or crab off the docks, and have it cooked down at the port!!  Homeowners have a new Ping Pong table set up in garage for great 'inside entertainment'! Start some family tournaments!! So much to do while here, and this home is so comfortable to come 'home to', it will become a favorite on your list!!

The floor plan and space inside and out was fabulous. The proximity to the trail and downtown Yachats was why we spent more for the location. We were disappointed that we could barely see the ocean between the homes as its a few blocks from ocean. Another thing was the 2 pods for each : dishwasher and washing machine. For 7 days it seemed a bit scarce combined with the checkout directives to start a load of laundry! All in all, we loved our stay.

Thank you for highlighting the layout and convenient access to the trail and downtown — I'm so glad those features enhanced your visit. I'm sorry the ocean view was more limited than you hoped. We capture the limited view from the home in a listing photo so guests are made aware, but the next time we re-shoot the photos, we'll work to make that clearer. I am also happy to report that our housekeeping team did just revamp our soap kits as well, and they now include larger quantities of everything. Thank you so much for the feedback, we truly do appreciate it.

Family ocean getaway

This was a great location and appreciated all the extras like games and activities in garage like ping pong for kids. Plenty of space for everyone.

Great Space

Neigh Tides was a great space for our weekend. The place was spacious, with lots of cozy seating for a relaxed weekend. Beds were comfy.

Perfect place for a family reunion

This property was even better than the pictures and those were amazing! There was plenty of room for our family of 7 without feeling cramped. It was very well stocked with essentials to accommodate 7 people. The kitchen was large enough for multiple persons to do meal prep and walk around! In fact, family members asked if we could come every year to this beautiful home. We came to the area for a family wedding. I highly recommend this location for your next trip !

Great location

Great location in the residential neighborhood of Yachats, if you are ok with walking the 10 minutes into town or to the trail along the rocky beach. Enjoyed sharing the home with some family, it was spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately neither queen bed was very comfortable and the pillows in the master bedroom were awful (luckily I travel with my own pillow).

Great location, tidy property

We would certainty stay here again when in Yachats! The house was very clean and it was fun to have options like games and DVDs. It’s easy to walk to dinner or morning coffee and breakfast. Only constructive feedback is it would be nice to have fluffier pillows in the master - they are pretty flat. On the other hand the comforter was great!

Perfect family get-a-way

We loved our stay at Nigh Tides! The home is very clean, bright, well stocked, and comfortable. Easy walk to market, restaurants, the best seafood ever (Luna Sea), and Bread and Roses bakery. Easy access to shore walks both north and south. No traffic noise, just the sea. For us it was the perfect spot for our nature loving, book nerd crew to curl up on the comfy couch in front of the huge windows with a good book and cocoa after long chilly walks and hikes. Thanks for a wonderful week in Yachats!

Property is very good, but the cleaning fees and host fees are too high

Kids had very good time staying at this place.. Lot of indoor games. Cozy place, but the host fees and service fees was pretty high. I am not sure if there is a way to get away with that or reduce it.

Delightful coastal getaway!

Our stay at Nigh Tides was absolutely perfect, and we were so impressed by the way Meredith Lodging had everything set up. The location is wonderful- the coastal ranch home is situated in a beautiful residential neighborhood, with a coffee shop within walking distance, and a quick, 2 minute drive from the Yachats market (C&K Market) and the town's pretty awesome restaurants (including Ona, Luna Sea Fish House and Beach Street Kitchen). Reviews we read earlier mentioned the pillows not being up to par so we brought our own. The house was superbly clean and had all the kitchen utensils/appliances you could need for your stay. Bathrooms are equipped with towels, shampoo, conditioner, bar soap and a hair dryer. This home is perfect for a couple or a large family/multiple families, with a twin-full bunk bed in the "kids room". The backyard is large and we enjoyed a game of croquet and played some ping pong in the garage as well! Clean-up procedures were clearly laid out on the fridge. Overall, we found the office staff to be very accessible and friendly via email. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful!

Good walking location

Easy walking south along the ocean path to downtown. Nice benches to stop and watch the sea birds. Going north up the coast, the path is a bit more ackward, but great viewing. Good places to walk down to the beach/rocks. very dramatic. The house was clean and easy to use. Plenty of equipment in the kitchen for meals. Had trouble using the TV/DVD, but a maintenance person came to establish connections. A few minor points they can easily take care of: the night light in the master bedroom is out, the rock light in the master bedroom does not work, the toilet seat in the master bath is lose. It would also be nice to have some window cleaner to clean the bird mess off the front windows. The house is light and airy. You can also see a bit of the ocean to keep an eye on the fog situation. We did have a few days of some sun, but we really came here to cool off, not sunbathe. The local market was pricy, so we went to Ray's in Waldport. The Sunday farmers market was great, we got a lot of "ripe" vegetables.

Had a very good stay

We enjoyed our stay at this house in Yachats with my wife and four kids (ages 11-16). The house has ample space and is reasonably well equipped. While not next to the beach and/or restaurants, it's still within walking distance or a short drive of both. The house's exterior and interior is a bit tired/dated which is the reason for only a four star rating. However, it was a good value so this offset what was missing in terms of the fit/finish of the home itself.

Wonderful Family Vacation Home

We absolutely loved this house. It was perfectly sized for our family of 4. Yachats is a gem of the coast and this home highlights its best feature, small town amenities, everything within walking distance with awesome shops and amazing food. Highly recommend

Overall a nice stay

I’ve stayed in many rental homes and I have concluded that the small details are what makes the difference. This home, while immaculate and beautiful, missed the mark on a few details for our family. Kids wanted to play ping pong but all but one ball was broken. Same with the badminton rackets. We didn’t have enough pillows and when we requested more I was told that housekeeping would bring some by-this never happened. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, etc, but no paper products. Finally-I really thought we had beach access nearby but I misread the description. When it says “go across the bridge over the river” it means in your car. While there is a beach within walking distance (4-6 blocks?) it’s quite rocky and not a place to spend an afternoon. I would’ve chosen a different property had I understood this as our number one priority was the home being near/on the beach. All in all-if you want a beautifully decorated and immaculately clean home to stay in and are okay with a partial ocean view and a rocky beach-you’ll love Nigh Tides!

Great Family Get-Away

Everything went very smoothly. We had a great time. This was a 60th birthday for me and my brother sister and other family joined. It was a great time. Thank you for sharing this home with us.
