Here on Lake Maggiore, the company found the best conditions for the production of hats, because water was one of the most important factors for the production cycle and on the other hand, there were many specialized specialists in the area. In the year 1981 the production of Panizza was discontinued and the listed building was sold with the circulation, in the conversion to a holiday residency to preserve the exterior and a small part in a museum. For example, in 1994, the "Museo dell'arte del cappello" was opened, where the visitor has the unique opportunity to gain very interesting insights into the history of the production of the hut.
