Captivating oceanfront in this 1st floor condo in Wild Dunes

Panoramic ocean views when you walk straight out onto the beach from your screened in porch. This first floor, condo is a beach lover’s dream. The living room and bedroom feature sliding glass doors to access the fabulous screened porch, which stairs bring you directly to the beach and steps away from the complex pool. There is a fully equipped kitchen with crisp white cabinetry, stainless-steel appliances, and a granite countertop that you could cook any gourmet meal on. The living room offers beautiful furnishings, including a queen sleeper sofa, flat screen 75" Smart TV. The master bedroom is peaceful and comfortable, with a King bed and brand new mattress as of March 2024, a flat screen Smart TV, and direct access to the screened porch. After a long day on the beach, come back and take a long hot shower in the beautiful walk-in shower. Every day you can enjoy the sunrise AND the sunsets on the screened in porch with endless ocean views.

**ATTENTION GUESTS: During high tide there is minimal beach available for beach walking or lounging. Some neighboring complexes may have sand bags out to protect their dunes from erosion. Please do not attempt to walk on the dunes or sand bags.**

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a nice unit for a couple who want to be on and near the water. It was also large enough for our 2 grandchildren and their parents to visit and eat with us. Caution to light sleepers - the floors are not insulated and you can hear all the walking overhead and the water usage. Otherwise was very nice.

Very nice, small accommodation for two. Just the right size. Loved calm beachfront and access. Stocked well with necessities for kitchen. Only problem was lack of info for tv login; office sent technician on second day of stay.

Good place to stay and GREAT locations

Unit was accurately described and the location was excellent. Easy check in and check out. The management company provided good constant communication. I would rate the unit and overall experience as meeting expectation bordering on exceeding expectations. You may note previous reviewers specifically mentioned that a new mattress/box spring was needed. I can confirm the mattress/box spring has been replaced and the bed was very comfortable.

Pleasant Getaway on the Beach

The only negative unfortunately was at the onset ... the unit wasn't ready on time. After that however, everything was wonderful ... the unit, the location, Charleston in general, etc. We would definitely book this unit again.

Very Nice but would not stay again

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo had a great location and was decorated very nice. However, our biggest complaint was the bed. It was the worst bed we ever slept in. The box spring was broken and squeaked horribly - any movement in the bed woke my husband and I up. There was no mattress pad or bed skirt and the mattress itself was awful. Unfortunately, it really ruined our experience. We have stayed at 6 other condos in Port O' Call and have never had a bed this awful, especially for $3500 week. Hotel beds are more comfortable than this.

Repeat Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We always enjoy our stay at the beach. We stayed in this same unit last year. This unit needs updating on its cookware and glassware. It has no wine glasses unless martini glasses are supposed to serve as wine glasses. For the second year in a row we have had to ask our daughter who lives in Park Circle to loan us some wine glasses. There are no cutting boards and no sheet pan for doing a frozen pizza. Also, the refrigerator door will not shut securely so we were constantly finding it open. The trash bag (yes, just one) was thin as dry-cleaner cover bag. You get one bath towel for the week and no extra. There is no flat top "coffee" table in the TV room. The stitched leather top "table/foot rest is not very good for edibles and drinks.

Based on your suggestions, we’ve added a brand-new cookware set and more wine glasses, along with cutting boards and a sheet pan for added convenience. Regarding the refrigerator, we’ve inspected it and didn’t find any issues, but we’ll continue to monitor it closely just to be safe. We also want to clarify that we provide a “starter pack” of amenities in our rentals, which includes basic supplies to get you through the first few days. As for the towels, we wish you had reported the shortage during your stay, as there should have been 8 sets provided. We look forward to welcoming you back soon and hope your next visit is even better!

Great View terrible mattress broken shower door.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit has excellent views. Nice deck seating. The sofa and chairs in the living room are comfortable. Nice 75-inch Samsung TV. The bed, however, is a different story; it needs to have the box springs and mattress replaced. The mattress is a mainstay mattress from Walmart. The date on the tag is Dec 2021. Woke up sore every morning. For the amount you pay for a week in this unit, it's a small thing to ask that the bed have more than a Wal-Mart mattress on it. The shower door would not slide. We called maintenance to fix it. We tried the door that evening, and the bracket fell right off. To fix the door properly the track needed to be taken off and the guide bracket installed properly. We did not call back to maintenance as we expected the same outcome once the person "fixed" the problem. This could be a great rental unit with attention to a few details.

House Needs

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We thought the house was not very well maintained and equipped, especially in the kitchen. We had to request assistance with getting the television to work. When the technician arrived he was able to help us with the living room television, but not with the bedroom television. He said he would have to contact the owner and at that time he did not have the owner's contact information. He never returned to get this television operational. He did however make arrangements to have a much needed broom delivered to our unit. We have rented through Island Realty previously, but would not stay in this unit again.

Reviewer Comments: This beach side rental is absolutely wonderful! Access to the beach is literally just a few steps down the porch stairs. We appreciated how quiet and peaceful it was around our unit. The bedroom was spacious with plenty of storage space for our clothes. We liked the design of the rental that allowed us to close the doors between the kitchen/living room and the bedroom to create privacy. The only improvements is a few more kitchen items, as simple as a pizza pan. One night we bought a bake-at-home pizza from the grocery store only to find the unit did not have any bakeware. It was very frustrating to have a kitchen without some basics. The unit could use a deep cleaning, but it was good enough for our few days stay. Overall, we had a great stay and would not hesitate on booking another trip in the future.
