City Club Suite - #53 Oscar Wilde

Hey Gerald - I am sorry that this space wasn't to your liking. That said, let's look objectively at this. Staircase - yes, there are two sets of stairs to climb. It's an old building without an elevator. Our room 51 only has one set of stairs if you don't do stairs well. The bed is about 3 feet off of the ground. Not near 4 1/2 feet. I can't imagine that we'd have anyone other than a high jumper who could get into a bed 4 1/2' feet high. 3 feet is still a little high, and we do have a small step stool in the case of anyone who might have a difficulty. I would have thought the picture of the front of the building with the large staircase and also the picture of the actual bed would have helped you notice these things prior to booking. Please note that the large staircase on the front of the building does not have to be climbed as there is an entrance on the side that is much shorter. The air vents (HVAC return) very well may have not been cleaned in a couple of weeks, and admittedly they were a touch dirty. I hope the fact that they are 9' high and not anywhere near anything you would touch would be a mitigating factor. They have since been cleaned. Hey Isabel - We are sorry that you were not bale to access your VRBO account to retrieve the check in instructions. Since your review, we have moved to a different platform for instructions. They're all by email now, and not through VRBO. We agree that the City Club dinner reservation system is a bit clunky, as it is for many high end restaurants. They are not a high volume placeSince they try to provide a little more personalized service, they have deciuded to stay away from an automatic reservation system.
