We have carefully restored this 1925 historic home in the heart of Central Park in West Palm Beach. Exuding warmth and charm, the Monroe House, located on a very safe and quiet neighborhood, is a short walk away from restaurants, shops, cafes, and the Intracoastal Waterway. With original Dade County Pine floors and arched entryways, the home is filled with light all day long. Go over the bridge and be at the beach in less than five minutes. The same distance takes you to world-renowned Palm Beach Island. You are also just minutes from the restaurants, shopping and museums of downtown West Palm Beach. Minutes from Palm Beach Atlantic University. The Home is just 20 minutes from the famed Palm Beach International Equestrian Center in Wellington. Enjoy riding, competing and training with world class horses and trainers. Board your horses in nearby well-equipped facilities. Rent or tow-in your small watercraft or boat and park it in the driveway for some fishing or water sports.

The perfect home to relax with friends and family. Grill in the backyard and enjoy the sun all day long! The house is completely turnkey with a full-sized washer and dryer, central air conditioning, and a fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms. And don't worry if your clothes get a little wrinkled in travel as we have an iron and ironing board for your use and blow dryers in each bathroom for a quick hair dry!

We are located just 10 minutes from the Palm Beach International Airport and about 45 minutes from the Ft. Lauderdale International Airport. We are minutes from both I-95 and the Florida Turnpike as well as Tri-Rail and the Brightline train, which means you are centrally located and can conveniently get to any part of South Florida with ease.

Great location, clean home, instant responses

Our seven-day stay at this location met our needs to a T. The host was immediately responsive to our requests during the week, especially as related to changing the heating/AC, since we stayed on the cusp of switching from cool weather to hot. Everything worked fine. We would stay there again.

Great stay

We really enjoyed staying at this property. It is close to everything. We enjoyed walking a few blocks to walk along the intercostal waterway. The house was perfect for us. Very comfortable and clean. Great neighborhood .

Good location

It’s very close to Southern Blvd so it’s easy to pop on over to the beach and Palm Beach shops. It’s in the flight path so you hear planes all day. Would definitely stay here again.

Exceeded all expectations!

This property hosted our group of 6 grown ups very comfortably. The neighborhood has restaurants to eat at close to home, and just a short (9 minute) drive away is Clematis street which has tons of restaurants and bars as well. I spoke with the property manager a couple of times during our stay and they were very quick to respond and very helpful as well. I would recommend this house to anyone looking to enjoy the West Palm area, and I would definitely stay again!

Great location and nice neighborhood

This house was perfectly located for shopping, dining, and access quick to downtown Palm Beach. We were there for work and the home layout was perfect. The neighborhood was safe and all of the homes are well kept and have charm from the 1920's. The photos are exactly as it was onsite. The sheets are incredibly soft and the beds were very comfortable. We had 2 single guests and 2 couples with a total of 6 people and we were not on top of each other. The water was hot, the AC ran very cool (we did have to turn it way down at night since warm air rises but it stayed cool once cooled down). All rooms had fans too. The kitchen had enough items for us to make lunches and get takeout. We did not cook. ROKU TV's in every room was also a nice touch. We would stay again!

Monroe House

The house was charming and the property manager was responsive to our concerns which were minor (dryer vent not properly attached and leaking toilet and sink). We thought during booking that the main house had 4 bedrooms so were surprised to find only 3. After re-reading the listing it does state the 4th bedroom is in the cottage when you look at section that breaks down room details. Our friends that stayed in the cottage did say they needed to wash the bedroom sheets upon arrival and that there wasn't enough towels in the cottage for 2 people. The back deck needs to be remodeled, our kids found that out the hard way when they went barefoot on the deck and got slivers. The house is located on a quiet street and had a grocery store close by. The separate cottage with its own washer and dryer was a great feature especially when traveling with another family. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Monroe House.

Great location; great communication with owner/manager

This property was perfect for our purposes. We were a group of 8 adults in town for a family wedding. The location for us was great - we walked to restaurants for breakfast or lunch and a short drive away (within 3 miles) was the main hub of WPB with beautiful parks, shopping, restaurants, and night life. The Property Manager/Owner was very easy to work with and responded almost immediately with answers to all my questions or issues both before our arrival and while we were there. On our last night, we arrived back at the house to find that the AC was not working. Despite the very late hour, when I called the manager he responded immediately, came over, and although we could not get the AC going, he attempted to get a repairman in that night. Since we were leaving early the next morning, we told him not to bother. With ceiling fans in every room, it was bearable even without the AC for the night. There was another issue with plumbing but I trust that the owners corrected it after we left. For our inconvenience, the owner was kind enough to offer a fair credit on what we paid which I accepted. I am hoping that the owner has a conversation with their housekeeping staff or gets a new one as we felt the cleanliness could have been better. However, I would recommend this property especially for larger groups for its location, set-up, and ease of communication with the owners/manager.

House is quaint and as advertised. The cottage in the back is a great space for a couple that may want to have privacy from the rest of the group. Close to plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The Tropical Smokehouse was EXCELLENT.

Girls Trip

Great location close to downtown, shopping and beach. Nice, quiet and relaxing Neighborhood. Home was welcoming and perfect size for our group of 5 but can accommodate more. Had a great time in West Palm Beach. Host allowed early check-in. Only 2 negatives fridge needed wiping down and floors needing sweeping. Would definitely visit again.
